Tried this place based on reviews and a recommendation. Service was ok. Food was very disappointing. Crab omelette had almost no crab in it. Surprising when the ocean is so close. Also had a taco omelette. No taco flavor, no salsa or guacamole, and tasted like a frozen hamburger patty broke up in pieces. Each had lattes since they advertise they have espresso. My caramel latte was the WORST coffee if ever had and couldn't drink it. Tasted burnt. Extremely disappointed and won't be returning on our next trip to the area. The 2 stars were for no wait and ok service. Zero stars for food and coffee. If you want a coffee I suggest the Davey Jones coffee drive through across the street. Much much better!

We were the first customer of the day we were treated with warm and kindness and speedy service. Place very quickly started to welcome other guests and everyone seems very pleased with their service and choices.

The owner of this place is so wonderful, respectful, and friendly. The ambiance is very chill and the locals that are there are very welcoming and nice. The food is great I'm there in the mornings for my coffee and toast. I would definitely recommend this place for the tourist that visit.

This should be voted as one of best hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The service and food were phenomenal! One person manging the coffee bar area, hosting, cleaning the tables, serving, drive-thru, and still with the most friendly smile. I just wish i remember his name. I don't know if he is the owner or an employee. If his an employee, he deserves a big fat raise!!! I ordered the country omelet. This was probably one of the best homemade country gravy I've tasted in a long time. It definitely tasted fresh and from scratch. I certainly didn't leave any leftovers. Unfortunately, when we back the next day it was another server. They definitely need help. It is a very busy place. Parking lot is small.

Unquestionably the worst meal I've ever eaten. NOTHING was good and much was completely inedible. My wife got sick, and I probably saved myself only because I refused to eat the "homemade" corned beef hash that contained this 3 inch wide blob of fat. While I'd love to be able to chalk this up to simply inattention on the part of the cook, it stretches the imagination that anyone would miss a 3 inch blob of fat on the griddle. Furthermore, the waitperson stared right at it and said nothing. I'd have wanted to crawl under a rock, had I been her.

Hole in the wall, small cafe! Yummy food, friendly waitstaff, and def a local hangout!

    YUMMY Crab Benedict so delicious

Everything is delicious and fresh! Theresa and her crew do a great job. Large portions and the Best fish and chips in the area! I highly recommend the Crab Benedict, Reuben, chicken fried steak, ling cod and chips, clam chowder... they can get busy for a small restaurant but so worth the wait!

Booth big enough for big family.

Great breakfast, Denver omelette and made to order hash browns.it's a tiny place you may drive past but it's perfect to have breakfast after camping at Sunset Bay( when you didn't pack your camp stove) nice ladies that work there. Right by Charleston Bay.

Giant breakfast burrito on our way out of town. Lots of potatoes, which I prefer. Great service and breakfast.

From the outside, it feels like you've pulled into a plant nursery (I honestly double-checked my GPS). But once you step inside, it opens up into this cozy, light-filled café tucked among greenery. It's calm, a little unexpected, and instantly welcoming. I stopped in for a latte and a cardamom roll, and both were excellent. The latte was smooth and creamy, and they served it with a tiny rosebud on the side which felt like such a thoughtful, simple touch. The cardamom roll was the real standout for me: light, airy, and not overly sweet, with just the right amount of warm spice. What really makes this place special is the atmosphere. Sitting among the plants, with the soft scent of flowers in the air, it feels like a quiet escape from everything else. It's the kind of place where you want to slow down and stay a little longer. If you're looking for a peaceful coffee stop with great pastries, and bread and a unique setting, Persephone is absolutely worth a visit.

Not greasy and not dried out. Just enough for the 3 of us to get our taste buds going. The elk burger was so tasty and juicy with a flavor that left us craving more. Medium rare with added avocado was the perfect mix. The burger was not so filling that you got the after burger taste and wouldn't have room for anything else. The Marionberry Crisp topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream was enough for us to share at the end as well. Headed up perfectly and delicious! The service was great and the wait time was not long to get a table. Outdoor seating is also available and the inside keeps it nice and cozy for small parties or the occasional big family feasts. We'll definitely stop back here again!
