Even though it's kind of a pain to drive from downtown, and weekends the parking lot is crazy, there is still always parking (and how convenient you can stop for bird rock coffee or TJs food shopping on your way out). I went to this YogaSix studio when there were only two locations in San Diego - This one in Point Loma and the other in Solana Beach. Now there are a handful of locations! This specific location is quite beautiful - it's very big, well kept, and modern. They even have a Japanese bidet toilet.. so FANCY! lolol.. Anywho - YogaSix is probably my favorite studios for hot yoga because they turn it the fuggin HEAT- also sometimes it's way hotter because the number of people in the class. As always - it's always dependent on the yoga instructor and so far I would say 8 out of 10 - I get an instructor I really do enjoy. Some play more contemporary music and aren't as crazy strict with noise level before class. Very welcoming! I really enjoy their YogaSix Vinyasa - it's such a good balance of meditative yoga w/ a workout. YogaSix is a lot pricier than most studios (even CorePower), but the quality is legit (that I've experience so far). read more

I took advantage of YogaSix Point Loma's offer for a trial week at $26.00 per week. I think I went 3 times during that week. This studio is a gem. I have now bought more classes. Every time I walk in, I am warmly greeted. The teachers have all been qualified and very nice. Many times they will give you options if you can't do the pose or aren't there yet. The vibe is mellow and inviting. I used to attend another hot yoga studio and it was kind of a scene with outrageously bad parking. I've interacted with the manager Andrea and she could not be more helpful. And the studios are very modern, fresh and clean ~ and I love the locatoin! read more

Hot Yoga, much needed and worth the sweat.~ I love the chain of Yoga Six, usually getting my fix buying the 10 Pack or using ClassPass. This location is in Liberty Station which can get flooded from the Sunday Service of The Rock Church, but my timing was perfect attending a class at noon, when people are leaving so parking was fine. This studio is stunning, brand new inside out and a short little walk. The front has a nice little shop and cubbies for your shoes etc. The locker room is very nice with the fancy restrooms and changing area. The front desk is friendly and welcoming with good service. The instructor I took today was awesome with her playlist and guiding the class. Such an awesome workout!! I can't wait to return to this beautiful Yoga Six Studio. read more

I tried to take the 4:30 hot yoga class on Friday but wasn't able to get in because they locked the door at 4:29. Yes, I understand that I should've arrived earlier but I just so happened to get out of work early and really wanted to take this class. But before signing up on ClassPass, I wanted to know what their mask policy was so I called multiple times between 4-4:15 and no one answered. I finally called the Little Italy location who picked up immediately and they told me their policy. I had also messaged them on Instagram before and got a response over a day later. The manager informed me that they're understaffed and that it's not always possible to pick up. Cool, I can understand that but the class starts at 4:30 so someone is definitely at the front desk checking people in. I responded saying that it's still pretty absurd that no one picks up. Their response: "There is a lot of preparation to set a class up and be solo managing a busy class in a big spaced studio. It is what it is." I understand everyone gets busy, people screw up, or maybe people just suck at multitasking. But it's still part of the job. At least inform your employees that they need to be better about answering phones, checking for last minute sign ups and also be better prepared for classes (seeing as the class prior to 4:30 was at 11:30am). read more

One star is only for the woman that checked us in when we first arrived. This was our first time at this studio, and we were really looking forward to a nice welcoming environment. That is not what we experienced today. Every other person besides the woman who checked us in was very rude to us and made us feel unwelcome and like we did not belong. We were beginners for the most part and the instructor didn't really help us with our posture or offer any type of support for the poses. We signed up for the 20 unlimited week which is a shame because we won't be coming back here. I was really looking forward to spending my money here and be a repeat customer but that is not the case. This studio is very pretentious and is not welcoming to new comers. EDIT: this is how they treat new customers!!! Blaming us for a bad experience. We weren't very loud and the instructor never told us to be quite during the class. Not to mention the manager stalked our accounts to find a mutual friend.. beyond creepy. This place is ridiculously up its own ass. Showed up for a class today, which I pre-paid for. The class start time was 6:30. Walked in the door at 6:31. The guy at the counter said "we have a super strict policy and we don't allow lateness." Ok dude. I didn't know you and the other doctors had already scrubbed in for surgery, while boarding a submarine and taking the grad school entrance exams. My bad! In a competitive town, where we all rush somewhere from work, strapped for time, strapped for cash, and once in awhile actually succeed using our expendable income and expendable time, especially for something as expendable as a workout class, you turn away a new client that is there one minute late? It sounds like you don't know the first thing about dealing with people or building a loyal customer base. It sounds like it's more important to have some bullshit power trip than to be a decent person. It sounds like you don't realize this town has a yoga studio on every block. But hey ... what do I know? I'm just the sucker you took money from and turned away. Also, don't bother contacting me to remove this review. I wouldn't go back to your lame-ass studio (soon to be a coffee and bagel place) if you paid me. Good luck guys! You're gonna need it! read more

Avoid of this studio!! I had an unlimited membership here for 8 months and was very disappointed by how I was treated. I had a two week trip one month and requested to pause my membership. Their website states that you must provide 2 weeks notice to freeze and I requested IN PERSON on the 15th after my class. They sent me a form 2 days later by email which was coincidentally was 13 days in advance of the month...making it so I would be outside their policy and have to pay for the next month. On the form, they started the pause date from the day they sent the form and not from the day I requested. I signed it not thinking there would be any issue only to find out they did not pause it at all the following month when they attempted to charge me for the entire month. I let them know I requested to pause and they said that it would not start until the next month because it was outside of their policy. They proceeded to attempt to charge my card every single day and tell me that they were going to send me to collections if I didn't pay it even while I was communicating that this was incorrect. I had not used the membership one time that month because I signed a form that I was freezing my account. The fact they put the wrong date on the form to be exactly over 14 days is very convenient and scammy. Andrea, the general manager, would not acknowledge anything I had to say and sent me a generic message saying a "monthly membership is recurring". She never reached out in any way to remedy the situation because she clearly doesn't value members or good customer service. I'm not surprised there are other reviews with this same experience. I brought 6 different friends to class with me over the course of the 8 months. I would have continued to have a monthly membership there had they just paused it for one month. It's clear you are just sales to them. Don't get scammed like me!! Not good vibes for a yoga studio....any of they studios down the street in OB are much better. read more

They may say they are following CoVid safety guidelines now, but I wouldn't believe it, so if you want some Delta Variant with your downward dog - go there! I received an email from the branch manager at the end of 2020 saying they were blatantly defying safety protocols just because "nobody had gotten sick there." Add that to how they treated their instructors and tried to scam members with additional online fees during lockdown and you've got a business that talks health and community wellness and does the opposite. So disappointing - it was a great place at one time. read more

I looked forward to the 6:30pm Y6 Hot Yoga class in Point Loma all day and as I neared the studio realizing I only had minutes to get from my car to class... I started giving myself the pep talk about the possibility of not making class due to my lateness. I was thankful to make it in time and be greeted by the friendly staff. PL Yoga 6 never disappoints-from the friendly greeting the staff gives upon entry to the Spa like feel and cleanliness of the studio...it all sets the vibe for an excellent yoga practice. I also appreciate the Y6 instructors and their ability to give precise cues that can lead to a greater understanding of the poses and an improved practice. I recommend this studio to all Yogis looking to relax and strengthen their yoga practice in a beautiful studio. read more

Updated Review -- Very nice studio with a modern, upscale vibe. People who fit within the community here seem to really enjoy it. As many other reviewers have mentioned, they have a definite pain point in their customer service and front desk manner and are VERY strict about timing. On my first visit I wasn't let into a class after I drove 30 minutes and on my second I was on time, but was repeatedly scolded for being late (I guess on time to them means at least 10 minutes early?) and was ultimately actually told I was no longer welcome at this studio! Well, as a long time yogi it is my first time being banned from a yoga studio- All of my communications with their front desk (emails and in person) have bordered on downright aggressive + catty. Just don't say you haven't been warned :/ They seem to be doing well enough to be able to treat new potential customers with such disregard. read more
