Overall the cabin was clean but there were some huge misses that cannot be overlooked and the management needs to correct them. The couch is black!! It's absolutely disgusting!! I literally took a knife and scrapped funk off the arm of the couch. That piece of furniture is as old as that cabin and is as unsanitary and nasty as they come. The mattress covers are just as questionable and probably haven't been changed or washed all season long. The carpet up in the loft is a fine Petri dish for only god know what and it's obvious that a vacuum can't fit up there so I have no idea how they "clean it. For $200 a night some improvements and upgrades definitely need to be made. read more

Our faux cabin(just a crappy metal trailer with fake wood glued to the exterior) had not been cleaned. There was a half eaten bagel left on the floor and food crumbs everywhere. Heck there was even someone's dirty underwear left behind! The portapotties were overflowing. Do they ever get serviced? There's hundreds of golf carts being constantly driven around the complex,all hours of the day and night. You had to wait for a break in golfcart traffic just to walk over to a neighboring campsite. There was a crotchety old lady going door to door badgering people to buy her homemade salsa. The pond was dyed to look like the color of listerine. Our next door neighbors must of had 30 people crammed into the tiny site,but there's no staff to police anybody. The place is a free for all. read more

SO disappointed with this campsite. We were going camping with another family so we booked two sites right next to each other. Upon arrival, we discovered that they had split up our sites! They were severely understaffed and we had to wait in an extremely long and slow moving line. The bathrooms are disgusting. It seems that they were having plumbing issues as several of the toilets would not flush. The small kiddie pool was also disgusting. It looked as though no one has ever cleaned it. Also, to go on the bouncy houses and slides you need to pay an ADDITIONAL fee of $15 per person. That is absolutely ridiculous. I will not be recommending this place to anyone...in fact I will tell people to AVOID THIS PLACE. I wish I could get my money back for this terrible experience... read more

I would not recommend this place. The site we were assigned was very unlevel and we had to ask for another site. No trees at all. The staff was okay, but not real friendly. The biggest complaint I have is the bathrooms were only cleaned once a day and constantly out of toilet paper and dirty. read more

Nice park, lots to do for the kids. Love the restaurant and their friendly staff. Terri makes a point to come out say hi and ask how we are doing, always making us feel like family. Fun place for families with children to visit. 2 swimming pools, mini golf, fishing, sand volleyball, basketball, tennis, snack bar, themed events and more. Your lot section/trailer will definately dictate your experience. Most of the park is wooded, but there is a large section that is full sun. read more

We stayed at Jellystone August 24 - 26, 2019. The Park allows gas golf carts and it seemed like we were camping next to a busy road there was so much traffic. We also had very noisy neighbors - some who were arguing all weekend and some who played loud music well into 'quiet' time. Won't be going back. read more

We love camping and wanted to try a jellystone out. We were not to impressed. the campfire ring is not that big. Dont say their is going to be all the characters when they are not there. My five year old was not happy he wanted to see the characters. Some of the staff is friendly some is not. They really didnt know what was going on with the activites in the office. We spent a weekend here with our 2 children (4 and 6) for tent camping. Upon arriving we realized that they site we had originally reserved was more geared towards a pop-up or trailer. We visited the ranger station and they apologized (when it wasn't really their fault) and gave us the pick of any sites that were available. We found one and set up. One comment is that many of the spots offer less privacy than you would find at a state park, but there are plenty with shade from trees. We initially thought the privacy would be an issue, but our kids ended up making friends with kids from both sides of us and we ended up hanging out with one of the couples after the little ones were asleep. So the open concept to speak made it easier to watch the kids as they played. We went to the pool, ate at the quick service restaurant and attended the dance party. All fun and no complaints. We'll probably add this place to our mix of camping destinations. read more

You won't get bored here! The kiddos loved the tire park and inflatables. Next time I would rent a golf cart as there are a lot of steep hills. Pools were the perfect temp and water wars was a blast. Fun for adults and kids. Friendly staff and I can confidently say we will be back! read more

This campsite seemed fun but camp security is very aggressive for such a relaxed atmosphere. We came in contact with them 3 times in a 4 day stay. As an adult with children I am very aware of my surroundings and do not need constant reminder. Smokey Hollow much much better and more enjoyful for adults. It was our first time camping with the kids and I couldn't ask for a better weekend! We loved the pools and the convenience of the on site store! We had fun on the golf cart we got to rent and the bathrooms were nice and clean. We usually stay at the Caledonia Jellystone but wanted to try a different location. We were drawn to the Fort Atkinson location for all the amenities on the website. Pros: - nice, large campsite with a lot of activities for kids and families - two pools, nice for the large area - most of the staff was courteous and helpful - prompt check-in service (they met us at the entrance, nice to avoid having to park the van/trailer, though there really isn't a place to do that so this is kind of a must to eliminate traffic congestion) Cons - no full hook up sites - at all! - very hilly terrain, golf cart rental is a must (@ $90/day) - not enough restrooms (not keen on port-a-potties) - not enough "staples" in the shop - no lake access to Lake Koshkenong (sp?) though you can see it from the grounds - the super fun amenities are an extra $12/wrist band/day; those amenities only available for 2 hours on a weekend day - the majority of the activities are in the seasonal/permanent section, almost giving the impression that weekenders aren't good enough to enjoy them - VERY narrow roadways for bringing in trailers - very dusty (saw one seasonal camper watering down the roadway to reduce the dust kick-up) - hard to find since our latest version of Navigation software didn't reflect recent road construction - we noticed signs on the highway directing to Jellystone on Sunday, we came up on Friday when the signs weren't out yet Our experience - I specifically requested a full hook up site at the time of reservation. When we arrive, no sewer hook up. I went up to the registration office to request the site I asked for, and was told that, no, they don't have ANY full hook up sites. But they do have a "free" dump station (my husband almost took a picture of that sign pointing out that the dump station was free to use). Their responses were rude, as if I was the one who misunderstood - they apologized for MY mistake (yes, they used the words, "sorry for your mistake")! Unbelievable! - a couple rude staff members (example, tried to tell the teenager working on the Hey Hey Ride that the back tire on the wagon was extremely low TWICE and he ignored us each time) - waited for 3 rounds for the "Hey Hey Ride", even though we were first in line for the 2nd go-around, except the tractor pulled in at the back of the line, so we were last! - many of the buildings and some equipment on the grounds are not kept up; many seasonable/permanent sites were in awful shape - water wasn't working in the main buildings on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend - there was a HAIR on my daughter's hot dog from Ranger's Kitchen (lady was very apologetic, replaced the hot dog and refunded the amount of the hot dog without my asking) - husband wanted to visit the game room that was advertised on the site, only to learn from a staff member that it's been closed for THREE YEARS, who also said that she didn't know why it hadn't been taken off the website yet Overall, we won't be coming back. Granted, our experience was dampened (no pun intended) by rainy weather and a super muddy site. It's a shame because I'm sure it was a prime vacation spot back in its day. If they could spruce up the grounds, buildings, and customer service, and at least look like they are prepared for camping season by Memorial Day, we'd reconsider. Had the potential to be a nice place, but as our first time at a Jellystone, we were sorely disappointed. We have heard about how fun these parks are supposed to be. My husband, myself and our 3 young children met family members here for Labor Day weekend. The employees were polite, but completely disengaged in the whole "Yogi Bear/Family Fun" experience. Amenities and activities were at least clean. Unfortunately it was raining most the weekend so we couldn't take advantage of everything, but the parts we did participate in (bouncy houses/mini golf/playgrounds) are the only things earning the 2 stars. For $70/night to stay at a "family oriented" establishment, we were more than a little irritated to find an unreal excess of people zipping around in golf carts with alcoholic beverages in their hands and sometimes inappropriate music blaring. Teenagers driving around all day in their golf carts blaring music with the "f-word". Entire groups of children left unattended at the activities and being obnoxious. The "quiet hour" of 11pm-7am is non-existent. Groups of campers stayed up until all hours of the night talking loudly with music playing and TONS of golf cart traffic still well into the night. Teenagers playing and screaming on the playgrounds in the dark in the middle of the night while our kids were trying to sleep. This place felt more like a glorified retirement community/party grounds. I will add though that the campers all did a good job of keeping their dogs contained and picked up after. We brought our two dogs and never had any issues there. We spend a lot of weekends camping all over MN and WI, and we're not opposed to drinking or music, but there was a clear and blatant lack of respect for the families that are only weekenders, not seasonals. EDIT: also to future campers, be forewarned that there is an extra fee for almost every single activity that you participate in. $15/person will buy you a wristband for the bouncy houses, water wars, mini golf etc, but most of the "itinerary" activities cost an extra $3-$5 per person as well. read more

this was our second time staying at Jellystone. We really enjoy all there is to offer. Love the 2 different pools in seperate areas. The events that are planned for the weekend visitors are fun for the kids. There are lots of golf carts driving around creating a lot of dust..but most of the seasonal campers keep the roadway hosed down. We will return in the future! read more

Great camping place to go with your children family and friends! The staff was very friendly. The grounds are well kept! There was a lot to do for everyone of all ages. We joined for other families there. Kids of all ages and at no time was anybody ever in a loss for something to do. We really liked The wipeout attraction and the blow ups with the bouncy pillow! Everyone had a great time at the dance! Great music was played!! The front desk check in was a very easy process with great people to!!! We will for sure return !! read more

We stayed at Jellystone Campground in Fort Atkinson over the July 4th weekend. My husband and two boys (ages 3 & 5) had a blast. This is our second time visiting the campgrounds and we can't wait to go back. There is so much for everyone to do (the pools, water activities and ice cream were a hit). We stayed on site 99. Thankfully we had a camper because the site is pretty rocky and would have been challenging with a tent. We were told by other campers that they would have relocated us to another site if we went up to the front but we were fine with the site but I wouldn't have stayed if we had a tent. We have many friends that have permanent sites at this location and we love to come and visit. The people at the front are extremely helpful and friendly. This is a great camping location and will keep the kids plenty busy. We can't wait to go back again soon. read more

We never had the opportunity to stay but unfortunately after our experience with the management we NEVER will! We booked a site just two weeks prior to our intended stay with my sister and her family. Just five days after we booked my sister, who had been waiting to adopt, received a phone call saying there was a child for them due in just one week, the same weekend we were to go camping at Jellystone. I called the following day to cancel for the both of us, as I would be heading down to my sisters (out of state) to care for their older child while they traveled to Utah for the birth and adoption. (Sounds like an emergency family situation right?). After asking if they'd consider a refund of the deposit (nearly $100 each family) the employee I spoke with said she'd ask her manager to consider issuing a certificate for a future visit. This employee called back that same day and said she spoke with her manager and they would proceed with offering this certificate. She indicated that they'd send it in the mail. Well a month and a half pass by...(My sister did adopt a beautiful baby girl!)...but we had yet to recieve this certificate. I called to check on the status and was able to speak with the manager. She claims she had no knowledge of this request. I explain the circumstances once again and she unsympatheticly says, "Well an adoption is very different then a birth." (yes, much more unpredictable...we only had one week notice!!). "I'll think it over and send something out to you if I decide to do so." I specifically asked that she please call me back so I wasn't once again just waiting for something in the mail. Again a moth passes by and no word. When I called back the same manager says she considered and decided against issuing a certificate 1. Because we weren't adoptive parents ourselves. (My sister hasn't called because she's been to busy with a newborn) 2. Because we only called the day before our weekend (flat out lie...I have a saved voicemail for the original employee I spoke with 7 days prior to our intended weekend.) 3. It didn't matter that the original employee I spoke with promised a certificate , she was just an employee and had no authorization to do so. (I have a voicemail from that employee that says she spoke with the manager to gain this authorization). I've spent 8 years working in resort hospitality. I understand how this stuff works and how to treat your guest and this is just unexceptible. She doesn't have to send me the certificate because we did cancel outside of their policy however the way it was handled, not standing behind her employee, being unresponsive, unsympathetic and really just lying about the facts when I have proof in a voicemail, is just wrong! I don't know what else to do but make my experience known and let others make their decision from there. According to the manager me doing this is bullying but I think it's just speaking the truth! read more
