Whow... worst service I've ever seen . Had low pressure issue in the house ,The technician didn't seem competent and seems confused about what's causing it . Eventually I pointed out the he cannot change the pressure using the regulator valve so he said that this is the problem . After 650$ estimate for a 20min job and 150$ part (they wouldn't explain to me the reason for the cost), hired another company because I didn't trust the diagnosis , they found that there was low pressure because the plumbing was going first through the water softner before going to my house and my back yard , also watering my back yard with salt , so the yard and the house are competing for pressure (bad installation by a previous plumber ). Once we disconnected the water softener the pressure was already better . Don't try to save money and find competent companies to service your home . Yugi- at least the plumber they sent was terrible , And they are also extremely expensive .(not something I would care if I would trust them) read more

Eric, the service man really worked hard to unclog our toilet, but with the toilet's age, and SD's extremely high calcium in the water, the clog wouldn't bugde. Shockingly expensive for a two minute job. The guy unclogged the toilet in less than a minute, then charged $185! if he'd told us it would be that much, I would have contacted one of those "Unclog your drain for $69" guys. but I had used Yogi's once years ago and they seemed reasonable, so even if they charged a little more, I would've been okay with it. But this charge of $185 seemed outrageous. I contacted the company by email to ask why it was so expensive, got no response. I finally called them today to again ask if that charge was a mistake and was told that is their charge but the tech should've let us know that before performing the job. This was my second service call to Yogi's and I was as pleased as the first time. I previously had a new garbage disposal put in and most recently an outside pipe replaced. I noticed the amount of water coming from my hose had significantly diminished and thought it might have something to do with the water pressure. Justin diagnosed the problem right away- it had nothing to do with water pressure, but a corroded and clogged pipe. Now I have three times the water coming from the hose as before. I was so pleased that I was able to book these appointments quickly, the repairmen were on time, courteous, and professional. I believe the fees were fair and there was no uncharging. I called to schedule an appointment and it was confirmed via text, CJ texted me that he was on the way during the arrival window, he arrived to complete the job and another employee joined him as evening was approaching so that they wouldn't be at our home too late (very considerate). He pointed out a few items to keep and eye on and consider for future replacement (crappy plastic lines installed by home builder) but no pressure from him to have him do it then and there. Used these guys a few years back for a big job to replace my cast iron sewage drains into abs. I called them again when I found a leak in my wall. I want to preface my review by making clear that it's based on work that wasn't done. I have no idea whether their work is good or not. We decided against Yogi's after our experience. It began well enough. We had a leaky pressure reducing valve near our water heater. We had actually purchased the required part, but wanted to insure that a qualified plumber correctly installed it. I called on a Saturday, with an appointment scheduled for the following Monday morning, between 11-12. The plumber himself did not show up until after 2. He explained to my wife, who had stayed home from work to make the appointment, that he gotten tied up on a rough job. Fair enough; emergencies happen. But he hadn't bothered to call at any time prior to actually inform us of the three hour delay. Strike one. When he arrived, he was also misinformed about the nature of the job. He was under the impression that we had a leaky ceiling in addition to the valve problem. Bad communication between office and workers. Strike two. He looked at the job, and informed my wife that he needed to do several things. First, he didn't have the right parts to replace the valve. He moreover suggested a host of other (read more expensive) changes to the section of pipe, including an additional valve. In sum? We have to schedule for another day and it will cost you more. Strike three. When I called the office to express my frustration, Chris (another plumber?) was apologetic and did try to explain what had occurred. But he was unwilling to try to remedy the problem, making clear that he could not schedule a new appointment on the same day. It's clear they had overbooked and by pushing our appointment back to another day (Wednesday? Thursday? Who knows?), they were trying to catch up on what they promised to other customers. Strike four. As I say, I understand when emergencies happen. That is out of anyone's control. How you respond to such emergencies, however, is something you can control. read more

I have used Yogi's for several years for an ongoing issues I have with my main line. They are on time, courteous and able to snake out the line every single time! Recently I tried another company advertising an introductory special. They came out and told me that snaking the line wouldn't fix the problem and they tried to up-sell me on expensive services. Thankfully, I knew not to fall for the scam. I called Yogi's and they came out and cleared the line within 20 minutes. Justin is a plumbing genius!!! We had a monster of a job re-piping my house. My mom wanted to go with a large company for security, so we had two of them come out and bid the job. Not only did they not agree about how to proceed, but both of their solutions would have been very inconvenient and costly since I rent rooms in my home. Justin came up with an out of the box solution that allowed us to have water to a least a portion of the house during the wk, which was a real save. His bid was also lower than both the other. It happened to be pouring rain at the time, continuing to wk through the miserable conditions to complete the job time, he was even careful not to track mud through my home. Worst service ever. They charge you arm and leg for their plumbing services. We had a water leakage issue on our upstairs bathroom. Alex was the plumber and he detected 1 leak from the attic, charged me hefty money, gave me no receipt and left. The same night I had the mitigation person come in and tear down the ceiling to start the drying process but we found it was leaking from a different section of the pipe. I asked Alex to come next morning and he said he would charge double of what I paid because he considers that as a new job. He was extremely rude, told me to find another plumber and walked off. Yogi's saved my house from imminent destruction. I called when I could not get the faucets upstairs to stop dripping and they sent a plumber out the very next day. He took a look and knew that the water pressure was about to blow my pipes out. A team of plumbers descended on the house and voila!, by evening time our showers and restrooms worked again. They changed the water pressure valve regulating everything in the home as well as some internal parts in the showers. Before they fixed the upstairs shower, one hot water handle dispensed cold water and the cold one gave out hot water. One of the handles turned clockwise and the other counterclockwise, everything was discombobulated! I don't have to give my house guests embarrassing directions on how to bathe anymore. I was grateful that they recommended adding an automatic cutoff lever for an additional $50. Now even I can quickly turn things off when disaster strikes. Yogi's was prompt, courteous and had reasonable prices. The work was warranted too, unfortunately there was a leak where they welded things together outside my house but they came back and fixed that too! read more

I was sitting on the toilet this morning and noticed some wet drywall. Ug, a leak in the wall! I found Yogi as tops on Yelp and gave them a call. It was about 8a. The polite person who answered asked a few questions and asked if 9a would be ok? How is that for FAST! Greg, the supervisor showed up at 9. He took a look and made a diagnosis based on the wall still being up. Greg even gave me a few options to save some money including ripping down the drywall myself. Greg also gave tons of great free advice about what to do about mold in the walls if any is found. After I ripped down the drywall, Alex rolled by around 1p. Turns out, one of my pipes was leaking and Alex fixed it in less than :20 minutes. Cost me $155 to fix the plumbing leak. Worth every cent given the politeness and speed my issue was handled. I still can't believe the repair went so smoothly and quickly. Yogi's is tops on Yelp for a reason. They showed me why today! read more

I've been using Yogi's for probably 25 years now, ever since Justin was a one-man band doing drain clearing all by himself. Now he's grown his business into a full-service plumbing company and their work is just outstanding. We hired Yogi's to completely repipe our entire house, after MANY of our neighbors sprung leaks in their walls due to lousy plumbing in the initial construction. True to form, they came, replaced all the rotten old copper with brand new pipes that will basically last forever, and charged a VERY reasonable price for the project. I even had them replace our old water heater and add a hot water recirculating pump. No more wasted water waiting for it to run hot. I'd never heard of such a thing, but boy was that money well spent! The water savings alone will pay for it in just a few years, but I'd do it again tomorrow just for the convenience of not standing at the sink or shower waiting for hot water, regardless of the economic (and ecologic) benefits. Highly recommend this company. We had a reoccurring issue due to a defective water heater and both technicians were knowledge and pleasant to work with. Justin, in particular, offered outstanding full service by dealing directly with the manufacture on the warranty, by locating the product locally for a quick turnaround and then installing the new unit. Made it so easy for us! Additionally, their front office does a nice job to accommodate schedules. My husband and I both work out of the home so it's difficult for us to rearrange schedules to do a consult and then a correction. First let me say I've reached out to over a dozen plumbing companies on Yelp and Yogi's was the most responsive every time / project. The helped me remove roots from a toilet, installed a new kitchen faucet, replaced a calcified dripping spicket, and moved washer and dryer lines across a wall. They were always friendly, thoughtful, and concerned about the implications of each change. Jason took on the big job of moving the washer / dryer lines. He meticulously cut each hole to bring the lines in behind the dry wall and ran new pipes, new exhaust, gas, water, and drainage lines. He hooked up the washer and dryer. He used quality materials. He came to finish it on his day off! And in the hottest, most humid days of the year. He has 20 yrs experience and knew gas, general construction, electrical, and even insurance in addition to plumbing. The prices were fair. I will not hesitate to call Yogi's again. read more

It has been 1 month + 1 day to when I had Yogi's plumbing come out to do "preemptive" snaking and draining of my pipes to avoid any issues of back-up for my rental property. Of course, Murphy's Law would come into effect on day 1 of a new tenant. I called Yogi's to please assist in an emergency home visit, but they were unavailable. At which point they referred me to another company who came within the hour, luckily, and quickly addressed my issue. At this time I was informed that we have roots growing in out pipes and was provided with suggestions to make my property more functional in the future. Workmanship is always excellent and the pricing very competitive. This morning I woke to no hot water, so I gave Yogi's a call and they booked me same day from 2-4pm. They called around 12:30pm and said they were in the neighborhood and offered to come early, which worked out perfectly. "John" found a loose wire on the pilot igniter, then followed the same procedure I had tried earlier without luck. Bam! the pilot lit up. On a Sunday afternoon I realized I had a slab leak in my 3 bed / 2 bath home coming from 45+ year old pipes. I called Yogi's on Monday morning and spoke with Justin. About 2 hours later he was at my house discussing options. I decided to go with a full PEX repipe. Fast forward and just over 48 hours later I'm sitting here writing this review; full repipe completed. Justin and his entire team were punctual, diligent, and professional. This is the second time that I've hired Justin (owner of Yogi's) to fix plumbing problems and water leaks in my house. He is my go-to guy. I rely on Justin to immediately schedule a visit, identify the plumbing problem, quickly get the needed parts, do the job right, and clean up afterwards. I also like that Justin could communicate with me by email because I don't have a smart phone. My underneath-the-house leak wasn't easy to detect except for my increased water bills and workers noticing water under my house when they were replacing a gas line. Those workers told me the leak was coming from my bathroom toilet, but I thought that was strange because I hadn't heard that toilet running or anything. Justin discovered the real problem: that the leak was coming from my shower drain, and that it could be fixed with some new parts. Justin, a Native San Diegan, is a warm people person and seems very supportive of the military, veterans, and the disabled. His prices are quite reasonable and fair for his hard, diligent work. I agree with his introduction on Yelp where he says that a true plumber is an artist and a problem-solving mechanic. In addition, a plumber must be physically strong and yet limber enough to squeeze into tight places (Justin had to climb down under my house to fix the leaking shower drain). Justin has always demonstrated his integrity with solid work (paying attention to detail), and his desire not only to meet but exceed his customers' satisfaction. I've used Yogi's Plumbing twice now. The first time I met Justin, he came to snake our shower. He was very friendly, didn't mind removing his shoes in my house, and cleared the drain quickly. He also told me to pick up a tool from Home Depot to clear future clogs, so he wouldn't need to come back out. The second time was today when I thought we had a leaky pipe in our wall. I requested a quote through yelp, and Justin contacted me within an hour and was at my house to give me an in-person quote shortly after we discussed via yelp. Instead of a pipe leak, Justin found that the water heater was leaking and rotting. He told me that he would make sure to get two people back out same-day to replace the unit. When Justin couldn't get the second guy, he came back out himself at 3pm. He and another guy were having issues with the pump, which caused them to work until 9pm. It was a long day for them, and he was nice enough to thank us for being patient with them. We have had two great experiences with Justin and his team.
