Location is ok, but you may not realize there's parking in the back if you've never been there. It is at a light so crossing and turning into the place is easy. Atmosphere and ice cream itself were stupendous. I recommend getting the cone with vanilla or just getting the scoops. Unless you love cinnamon and there you go. Their competitor downtown is better in some ways, BUT Bright Ice has better flavors and more traditional type of flavors. This is an important distinction which makes it stand out on its own. Honestly, I will return for a pint of that Espresso with Kahula. Great addition to the Lakeland scene and I would definitely recommend this.

And some flavors in particular taste more chemical/artificial than natural and homemade (looking at you Raspberry Chocolate). But if you stick with the basics (chocolate, cookies and cream, etc) Bruster's will satisfy at any age.

They handmake the ice cream and you can tell when you have it, it's just different than other places. I usually end up trying something different every time I come since there are so many options- there truly hasn't been one I haven't like yet. And you can taste test if you're having a hard time deciding, which would be understandable. This location is cute- it's where the south Swan Brewing bar used to be so they kept the bar up and refashioned it to work as more of an old school ice cream parlor feel.
