I am dairy free and gluten free so it is a little bit hard to find yogurt shops that I can eat at. Yogurt Stop served the pineapple dole whip that is the most amazing non dairy option on the planet! Silky like a sorbet but the entirety of the taste and toppings, this place is more than I expected and I'm now a fan. Not a very clean establishment. It stinks to high heaven like either sewer or disinfectant. Or perhaps both. The front door has so many grimly hand prints, from top to bottom. I am pretty sure it has never been cleaned. That's such a simple thing to do when you're sitting there board, because no customers are in there. I walked in and employee had a look of disappointment for having to relate with a single customer. The open sign was not turned on, even though it was two hours after posted hours of opening. Just shows lack of any kind of operational check list or enthusiasm. The dispensers were really dirty. I recently bought frozen yogurt at yogurt stop and noticed an awful taste, like rotten bananas. After investigating I found the cookie dough was expired, and the caramel tasted off too. When I complained, the staff brushed me off with no solution. I threw it away, made a new one, and they still charged me. If my yogurt had expired ingredients, I should've at least gotten the replacement for free. Disappointing experience. read more

Fantastic and fresh products, sad to hear smell still persists. Used to manage this location back when the paint job looked like the inside of a 90's Gymboree. Smelled like egg and butt then, and kinda smells like egg and butt now (now being several months ago - the last time I was in). For anyone curious, it's the grease trap in the back sink. The sink is used to discard product during machine cleanings (which is done regularly), but an accumulation of warm dairy is an unfortunate recipe for certain strong aromas. The grease trap probably needs a professional to come in and treat it with some kind of chemical on a weekly/bi-weekly basis.. (Cleaning it myself, I've seen some things.. smelled some things.. horrible things..) ***To make a strong point, the smell has nothing to do with the overall cleanliness of the store or the quality and freshness of the products provided by this location. It's simply unfortunate that the back area is semi-open air to the front area. There's no barrier between the smell and you, as the customer.*** BUT! Tom, the remodel looks amazing! almost brought a tear to my eye. You still have the best smoothie recipes in the valley, ratios are on point! Clearly on an upward swing, at least it seems from an outside perspective! It's awesome to see this store progress into the current times! I often brag to my wife about your store & your smoothies (and only sooometimes poke fun at the grease trap), to this very day. We will be by to enjoy one very soon! PS. Important to note for potential visitors, frozen produce is always frozen fresh, and fresh produce is restocked just about every single day, AND (at least when I was employed) has the loving touch of being hand picked by the owner, per the his expectations and standards. I have worked for other companies that would have you eat already expiring freezer foods, well over their shelf life. This is not one of those companies. Tom and YS have a very high standard for products sold and he personally checks in frequently to make sure those standards are upheld. This is a reliable business with the misfortune of having a crappy set up for their disposal system. Ok.. so, I actually wasn't able to try the yogurt, but I was up that way and needed to use the restroom really bad! The girl at the Chevron across the parking lot was INCREDIBLY RUDE when I asked to use theirs after purchasing gas. "I just closed it for the night" she told me. I thought "Ok, well can't you open it so I can pee? It's not like one adult female is going to trash your restroom just urinating!" And when I asked where might have a bathroom that late, she waved her hands around and said "idk. ANY OF THE OTHER PLACES AROUND HERE!!" So, I, upset and still in need, drove around and found that Yogurt Stop's open sign was still on (& it was after 10pm!) I opened the door and asked if they were open and the young kid sweeping the floor looked up, smiled and said "Yes. Come on in!" And when I asked to use the facilities, he said "For sure! Right back there!" Nice as could be! The store smelled sweet and yummy and it was immaculately clean! The kid was also sweet and cheerful and so friendly! I live 2 hours from salt lake in Price Utah and I will be going out of my way to go back and try their yogurt next time im in salt lake! Im very impressed by the yogurt flavors, they are true to there flavor and DELICIOUS. Tart tastes like tart, vanilla like vanilla, and peach, ohh peach just like peach. They have an ok variety of toppings but the yogurt is so good who needs toppings. So I was going to get yogurt but then noticed they had boba! And coming from the west coast I never thought one could get good boba in suburban salt lake UTAH neighborhood and boy was I wrong! The boba was cooked to perfection and the al dente-ness puts some of the native Taiwanese chain to shame! Simply incredible. The online ordering process was SOOOOOO easy with Apple Pay so very little to fill out which during this COVID crisis is a plus. Someone even delivered it to my car when I pulled up. Aside from the very pungent smell of cat urine in this place, the place isn't too clean, nor is it anything to write home about (or even return to). The selection is okay, it's better than some places I have seen, but it only had 6 flavors of fro-yo on my visit (I believe a machine was down). There were about 5 or 6 empty containers on the line, and we were the only people in the place. They don't have anything unique as in toppings; a lot of people seem to be excited about their boba, but it's not even real boba and it's not very good. The customer service here, as everyone says, was terrible. There is no excuse for how rude, off putting and cold the gal was who was working. It doesn't appear to have been a fluke either. For me, it was so off putting, I would rather not even return here; I will drive to another place a bit further for better service, any day! read more

They should stop selling boba! I was excited to try it as I LOVE boba but when I asked for a blended ice boba I received something that tastes like lukewarm strawberry milk not the guava I ordered. When I brought it back to counter the associate replied "that's how I was taught how to make it". Did not offer any exchange or refund and was quite rude. It's a decent yogurt shop, nothing special or unique and there are far better frozen yogurt places in salt lake. My favorite is munchies, even though they're a chain they've stepped it up and the other best local places closed long ago. Back to yogurt stop, my gripes are that the most of the flavors are lacking and taste similar (the variations of chocolate and vanilla). The yogurt is too soft, drippy, and melts fast. It tastes more cream and milk based and I wasn't feeling it. There were not as many toppings as other yogurt places, and I found it a little annoying to have to remove a lid from every topping and find some place to set it. Would be better if you could lift the lid. Finally the spoons were very thin and cheap and had sharp edges on the mouth piece. read more

Ok, I could care less about the frozen yogurt. I guess it's good, but what I'm excited about is the BOBA DRINKS. Boba is a black tapioca ball, and then put in a delicious fruit smoothie. You suck the smoothie up through a huge straw so the boba balls can come up too. The smoothies are all fruit with no added sugar and really tasty.
