Unbelievably great breakfast sandwich and delicious in-house roasted coffee that hit the spot! I've traveled everywhere, and I love seeing a small, local shop like this not only refuse to sacrifice quality, but go above and beyond. I got the Flaky Pig, I think that was the name, and it had to be the best coffee shop breakfast sandwich I've had in some time. The bacon was fresh, thick cut, and perfect. The egg was cooked just right, and they put an aioli sauce on a homemade croissant that took it to another level. Their coffee surprised me, as I wasn't expecting much, but the Ethiopian blend was so good that I bought a small bag, along with the Papua New Guinea. Way to go, Yokefellow. Way to go. read more

My husband and I absolutely love this place. We were so anxious excited for it to open while it was being remodeled. It has absolutely been worth the wait! We've tried a bunch of the food menu items. The one I keep coming back to is the flaky pig. I love the aioli and the EBTB seasoning on top. I'm not big on coffee or drinks, but my husband is. He's been buying his coffee beans here and he's had a lot of fun experimenting with different ones and chatting it up with the owners giving feedback. The few non-coffee drinks I have gotten here have been unsurprisingly delicious. We really love this place. The location on the south side of town is awesomely convenient for us. The locale is a super cute and welcoming place to go hang out. Lastly, I love chatting it up with the staff. They are always so friendly and make you feel like family. I stopped at Yokefellow today for two iced salted caramel coffees, two pulled pork pinwheels, and a club sandwich. No photos this time because my focus stayed on the experience. The location looked fine. An older Elizabethtown building now operates as a coffee shop. The space stayed clean. The upgrades helped the space serve both customers and the neighborhood. The staff handled orders without trouble. No strong engagement, no poor service, a standard encounter. Food quality caused the first problems. Pulled pork pinwheels failed across the board. Almost no pork, no heat, and heavy sauce over thick bread. I do not suggest ordering this item. Maybe it was my expectations but this was not it. The turkey club offered better results. A simple build, nothing bold, but still the best item from the visit. The iced coffee created the biggest issue. No depth, no balance, and a flavor close to melted caramel candy. A caramel drink still needs coffee strength. My daily routine depends on coffee, so a new shop always raises hopes. This one missed the target. I plan to return for a hot drink and a different food order. A second visit might deliver stronger results. For now, I do not recommend this shop for anyone seeking a dependable morning coffee. Monday, I decided to try Yokefellow Coffee Roasters while in town visiting my daughter. First, the shop is cute, inviting & comfortable. The service was quick & friendly. My order, a chai, was so delicious. Because it was my first time there, I only ordered a small to try it out. Immediately, I went back & ordered another. And, everyday while in town, I found myself right back at Yokefellow Coffee Roasters. Next trip, I will be trying their food. I expect that it will be delicious also. read more

What a hidden gem! Stumbled upon Yokefellow on a road trip when searching for coffee shops along the route in Google Maps, wanting something brunch-y but fast-casual. The over 4-star Google rating caught my eye, when the nearby Dunkin was 3.5, and the appealing menu options sealed the deal. We ordered the salted caramel cold brew (top seller per the barista), a mocha cold brew, the breakfast burrito, and the baked French toast - all delicious and filling! The inside had a comfortable variety of seating options - a couch, comfy chairs, bench seating, wooden tables, bar stool high tops, etc., and there are board games and books to enjoy. Coffee is roasted on site, and you can buy grounds and merch to go. I had no idea they opened so recently until we were told - this coffee shop felt established and professional! I would intentionally stop here again, between the kind service, the cozy atmosphere, and the tasty food and drink variety. read more

The flaky pig on croissant sandwich with rosemary garlic mayo was delicious! We also happened across the roaster when we walked in and he was able to tell us about the different roasts and we selected the Ethiopian roast that was just made that morning- excited to try it at home. My husband got the coquito Christmas drink which was tasty, just would recommend way less ice. Overall a nice experience and friendly staff, would recommend a visit here when you're in the area. read more

I have been waiting for Yokefellow to open for a couple months now! it's so exciting to have something on the south side of town. I spent a total of $24 for 2 drinks, and 4 food items (one of which was free), which for a coffee place isn't bad at all! For my first round of food I ordered an Asiago Bagel, Pork Pinwheel, and a Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew. At first glance I was taken aback because I had clearly not received an Asiago bagel. Instead I had gotten, what I initially thought, was an everything bagel. However, I still ate it and severely enjoyed it! I had later found out it was one of their Made-In-House brioche buns, which I can't even complain too hard about because I frankly enjoyed it more than the Asiago Bagel (which they very kindly brought me after we figured out what I had been served). The pork pinwheel was one of the items I was most excited for, as I had seen them be posted on Facebook. Lord was it everything I had hoped for! A savory version of a cinnamon roll with my favorite kind of barbecue meat? I was entranced, in love. I'm wanting another and I'm beyond full. It's tangy and moist, a bit spicy but not overbearingly. It has an even distribution of meat and bread. My Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew was an Average coffee, I unfortunately don't have much to say because it's hard to do coffee bad, and when it's something like vanilla it's even harder to make it stand out. However it would be perfect for a before-work pick me up. I hope they add more unique flavors to their menu like the mint coffee they have. My second round of food I had only ordered 2 things, the Salted Caramel Macaron Pop and a cherry/blackberry Sprite. The Macaron was perfectly cooked!!! So many places in Elizabethtown, and even Kentucky in general can't cook macarons. This is only the second time after countless macarons that I have gotten one that is not underbaked or hollow. If it weren't for the icing (I'm not a fan of icing, don't blame them for that!!) it would've been astounding.. the Macaron itself was flavorful and delicious, and a shocking size! Biggest Macaron I think I've had. The sprite was Shirley Temple-esque, not much to say about it, but that's not a negative! It was a nice refreshing drink, and was one of their Fall Specials. Lastly was my Asiago Bagel, I waited until I got home to eat it, and I was frankly disappointed. I won't be too upset because it was free, but it was chewy and kind of hard, I gave up eating it halfway through because I was afraid of breaking a tooth. However, I also let it cool after being toasted, so take that with a grain of salt. That's all for the food, the service was absolutely phenomenal! everyone was so kind, and I'm very grateful to have the bagel I had paid for even after insisting that they didn't have to give me a new one. They even added a free cream cheese as well when I said they didn't need to, which was much appreciated! The atmosphere inside the building is homey and private. It would be a good spot to study or write if you're interested in that kind of thing. it's not too open, but not crowded. They have board games and books as well, so it would be a nice spot to relax on your day off with friends or by yourself. My only complaint is that the music is kind of oppressive, it could definitely be quieter. It took a bit for my first round of food to come out, but they just opened and are plenty busy, so I can't fault them! The parking lot is absolutely horrible though! it's a horse shoe shape around the building, so if you can't find a parking spot at first you'll have to go back onto the main road and try again. I found one behind the building, but it was sprinkling so I was forced to walk in the rain to and from my car. In conclusion I'm excited to come here more often before work in the mornings, I'm so happy that there are more eateries around that isn't just fast food, and aren't on the square. TL;DR: some hiccups here and there, but has good food and drinks, and it's a very exciting addition to Etown! read more

I will say, the food was pretty good. I'm a sucker for aioli. The flakey pig was the highlight of the order. We also got a burrito but it was bland and the crema was a bit of a let down. I will say the quality of the ingredients were great. But that's pretty much where to good stops. We ordered online and we pulled up to the drive through and sat for 10 minutes without a single vehicle moving. We were in a hurry, and if every vehicle in front of us took that long, we would be sitting for another 40 minutes. We chose to park and walk in to get our food. It proved to be the quickest method considering we were out before the drive thru could budge. The longest thing once we walked in was how long it took for the employees to acknowledge us and give us our food. The coffee was probably the most disappointing. We ordered an iced mint mocha and an iced salted caramel. Neither me or my husband could figure out which one was which. Zero flavor and the coffee was incredibly weak. It was more like drinking coffee flavored water. We payed close to $40 for 2 breakfast items, 2 medium coffees, tip and tax for this experience and I will say, it was not close to worth it. In all honesty, I would much rather stop and get a gas station breakfast. Food is just as good and easier on price. Can't say we will be willing to give it another shot. read more

my husband brought me an iced coffee at work this morning. I was sipping on it when I sipped a long hair through the straw!!!! It was absolutely disgusting. I know it wasn't mine because I have blonde/red hair and this was dark brown, plus I had not opened the lid. I immediately through out the rest of the drink. I will stick with Vibe its never happened there. I didn't call and complain because I don't plan on ever visiting again. I would suggest hair nets or at lease wearing hair pulled back. I stopped in today around lunchtime but was only getting a snack. There was a table of 4 ladies that appeared to be having a meeting perhaps book club or bible study. It seemed an ideal location for such things. We ordered at the counter 2 drinks and a piece of coconut pound cake from their bakery case. It was about $15. The 24 oz drinks were $5 each they were sodas with flavor add-ins.Service was quick. The pound cake was amazing it was a nice size piece so fresh with an icing really good. I wanted to go home and find a recipe to replicate it. But I think I'll just go back for more. The soft drinks were good though I wish I had tried a chai latte or coffee drink to pair better with the cake. They had several options that sounded appealing. I'd also like to try their breakfast sandwiches or egg bites so will try again earlier in day on my next visit. This is a nice clean place with plenty of tables and would be nice to just sit and sip coffee while catching up with friends. I took a pic of menu and texted a friend I thought might enjoy meeting me next time I try it. I hope the place is successful. It's a nice addition to this part of town. read more
