I love everything about this place. The menu, the staff, the intimacy, the food, it's all so good! We came in and ordered smoothies and a kale salad and everything was so delicious and tasty! I'm such a fan of their fruit options for the smoothies (papaya is my favoriteee)! I can't wait till I'm in the area so I can come back! I love the vibe here, this is an establishment definitely worth supporting!

I was in the area and noticed a smoothie shop on the corner of the strip mall, so I decided to stop in. I entered and immediately noticed the place was very clean and modern, which made a good first impression. When I walked up, to place my order, the person behind the counter asked if it was my first time visiting, which it was. She pointed out the menu on the counter, explaining that while they had a list of popular smoothies, they could also put together any customized mixes. After looking over the options, I went with the Georgia Peach and added ginger. The total came to a little over $10, and the smoothie was ready pretty quickly. It tasted fresh, and I scooped it up and headed back out. I'll definitely be returning to try some of the other options on the menu.

YOL is a modern health and wellness store focused on providing fresh, organic, plant based products for a healthier lifestyle. The Lithonia area was screaming for healthier food options and YOL heard the call. The menu ranges from smoothies to acai bowls, Kale wraps, snacks and more. The store was extremely clean and service was A1. After looking over the menu I decided on a smoothie. I went with the green goddess made with coconut water, mango, banana, Avocado, Organic Hemp Protein and agave. Compared to a few smoothie locations that I frequent. This has to be the BEST smoothie I've tried yet. Unfortunately, it's not near my home, but if it were I would definitely be a regular.

The staff is kind, and the kale wrap was fresh and delicious. Wish they were closer to home. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

The service has been great, and the waitstaff is super knowledgeable about their drinks and food. It's such a cool vibe inside, but it is very dark. It's kinda hard to see the menu - I wish they put small handheld flashlights on the tables. Multiple tables around us were using iPhone flashlights to see the menu which were so bright. The food is always incredible, and I'm partial to their seafood options. I've had both the snapper and the trout, and they were exceptional. Their cocktail menu is 10/10. Such unique combos of ingredients, but I've never had one I didn't love.

We snagged an early dinner reservation at 5:15 pm and surprisingly, people were already dining and they just got busier as time went on. We were greeted right away by our wonderful server (forgot her name though) and she asked if it was our first time there and if we were celebrating something. We answered yes to both and they actually brought us complimentary champagne, a sparkling non-alcoholic cider for me because I ordered a zero proof drink. Kimball House is known for their amazing bar program, so my husband ordered a Kimball House served with a side of olives and lemon twist on ice, like what?! I ordered a ginger & honey lime fizz to enjoy. For starters, we also enjoyed Hawaiian rolls, green salad and some oysters for my husband. The rolls and salad came out super fast, but there was quite a wait for our drinks and oysters that I didn't think they were going to come out. The rolls are a must-get here - they're huge and the strawberry preserve it was served with was delicious! The salad was actually split in half, which was a super nice touch and was plenty of serving between two people. We loved the dressing - it was nice and fresh. For our entree, I ordered a trout and my husband ordered the duck breast. I was a bit underwhelmed when I saw my plate because I was thinking it would be a plate full of grits, but what was served was the perfect amount because it was quite heavy. The trout by itself was too salty for my taste, but was best eaten with a bite of collards and grits. My husband enjoyed his meal, but wished the duck was cooked a bit more. For dessert, we both enjoyed a Paris Brest. Our server actually put it in twice so we each got one when she meant to only punch in one, but she ended up taking one off from our bill. I was quite shocked that our whole dinner was only around $190, not including tip, which I thought was quite reasonable. We definitely recommend this place for date night or simply for delicious food.

The place seemingly doubles as a stock trading and training post somehow (you have to see it to understand). Needless to say my expectations were very low...I've never been more surprised by a place. While not exactly Cajun, it is seriously amazing. The shrimp are THE best shrimp I've tasted outside of the Gulf Coast. The catfish was crispy and fresh throughout. The hush puppies were cooked at the edge of crisp but maintain moisture more like cornbread than I'm used to and now that may be the only way I want them. The broccoli was fresh and buttery. Also the egg rolls are one of the best deals on the Eastside. I believe I've taste every seafood place on the Eastside and this place has the best FRIED seafood for sure. My wife and I split a (2) Fish and 5 Shrimp plate and we were both too full. The pieces they use are colossal! Only drawback is they use FROZEN crawfish, as many do when it's out of season, but it makes me question if they ever use fresh crawfish when crawfish is in season. Overall this is the best place for miles, and light years better than generic places like "Juicy Crab."

There is also patio seating which is also a special space where they have been known to host weddings. Vera our waitperson was fantastic from start to finish. She was welcoming, talked about the restaurant, made excellent suggestions on all facets of the menu, helped with the wine selection and food choices and checked on us often. She is the true definition of service!! We started with cocktails and appetizers along with a bread basket. Don't skip the house old fashioned if you like bourbon. I even tried a mocktail and that was also good. Our first try with black bread. It was dense but tasty. The pimento fritters were crispy outside, creamy inside and complemented by the tomatillo jam. Calamari was perfectly done. Nice and crispy. The Caesar salad was freshly made with homemade croutons. I could go on about all the entrees but I'll leave it at this. Perfection. Not a miss among them. From the perfectly seared scallops, the duck breast or the blackened grouper we were all members of the clean plate club. We ended the night was a couple of the desserts and again winner, winner. This restaurant has been in Decatur for over 20 years and deserves all the accolades.

The valet attendant was extremely nice! He asked if we had eaten there before, told us about the specials, and made several recommendations. Our waitress was pleasant but didn't offer any suggestions -- the valet attendant was nicer and actually did more than the waitress. We started with the $7 truffle french fries (happy hour portion, 4-7pm). They were enough for both of us. Crispy on the outside and soft in the center, but there was only a light dusting of cheese on the top layer of fries. It would be better if it were sprinkled throughout the entire pile. The grilled filet mignon ($52) was not good. It looked like ground hamburger shaped into an oval and had hardly any flavor at all. The lobster ravioli ($42) was just OK and was surrounded by a thin sauce. The flourless chocolate cake ($11) was delicious, and the espresso martini was also good. So the mains weren't great, but the dessert and drinks were. There's plenty of seating inside and outside on the patio. The bathroom was clean. We made reservations, but they didn't seem necessary on a Thursday evening. Highlights: Valet service, dessert, espresso martini, happy hour fries Could be better: Main dishes (filet and lobster ravioli)

That video alone made me follow them on social media, and when I saw they were hosting Soul Food Sunday, I gathered a few of my girlfriends and we decided to stop by. The restaurant was moderately packed, with a steady flow of guests coming in for to go orders. It is a sit yourself setup, and we ended up in Cira''s section. She was prompt, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. She explained items clearly, offered thoughtful suggestions, and checked on us consistently without being overbearing. The space is very spacious with a semi club feel, yet there is still plenty of seating for dining comfortably. The music was a great mix of Southern Soul, hip hop, R and B, and old school classics, which added to the overall vibe without taking away from conversation. I ordered the turkey wings with macaroni and cheese and yams. The turkey wings were flavorful and tender, and I thoroughly enjoyed the sides. I do wish the meal came with a cornbread muffin or something similar to round it out, but overall it was satisfying and well prepared. The only area that could use improvement is the restroom. There was a noticeable sewage smell, and the toilet paper was simply placed on top of the sanitary disposal bin, which was not the best presentation. Aside from that, I would absolutely return, especially to experience Taco Tuesday in person.
