Inside the store is much cleaner (didn't see rotten fruits) now compared to before Covid.

I just love shopping there. It's hard for me to get around, but when I do, I love going there. I might go there today or tomorrow, but I love that place specially, the bakery area very fresh. The people are very nice. I can't wait to go back again.

I pointed it out, and she had to call a manager to correct it. I then asked whether my $10 coupon had gone through on top of my other discounts. The cashier couldn't verify it, and when the manager came over and was aggressive from the start, she couldn't or wouldn't give me a clear answer either. I asked if she could simply check whether the coupon had been applied, but she kept saying, "What do you want me to do? I can't do anything," and repeatedly referred to it as only $10. She also said she "can't risk her family for $10." I found those comments completely uncalled for. This wasn't about the amount of money. It was about making sure my transaction was correct. I wasn't asking the manager to do anything unreasonable, and I certainly wasn't asking her to "risk her family." While this was happening, another customer became angry and started cursing at me in front of my family and young children. Neither the cashier nor the manager made any attempt to de-escalate the situation. The manager ultimately walked away and told me to contact customer service. Happened 8/30 6PM I'm not looking for reimbursement or anything over the $10. I'm asking that Lidl review how this cashier and manager handled the situation and whether additional training in customer service, transaction accuracy, and de-escalation is needed. This was the worst customer experience I've had in a long time. Mistakes happen, but customers should be able to ask reasonable questions about their transactions without being made to feel like they're causing a problem.

(this is the only way I am able to describe her) On 11/15/2025 2:30- 3:00pm I simply asked to confirm my 10% discount in loyalty rewards for the promotion that began on 11/14 was applied to my final purchase. I was packing my items and could not monitor the transactions to verify. I confirmed that I had spent the required amount to qualify for the 10% discount and had clipped the rewards coupon digitally on line. The cashier called over one woman to verify this. She didn't seem to know so she then called the Asian woman. The Asian woman was abrasive and said I would only qualify if I spent the required amount during the promotion period. I verified I had. Then she insisted there was no way I could have clipped the coupon on line as she and/or management are the ones that have that authority to do so. I explained I was taught how to do this on line by one of their current employees and was unaware the practice had shifted. She took my rewards card and then came back quite some time later and rudely said " you got it already, look at your receipt!" I explained I had no receipt in my possession and hadn't even paid for my items. She kept demanding I look at my receipt. After feeling harrassed, embarrased and frustrated, I went to another woman who worked there - soft spoken with long curly hair (sadly I don't remember her name) who was kind enough to assist me. There have been reviews about this Asian woman's lack of professionalism and knowledge yet store management has chosen not to address this and instead will compromise customer service and experience. It's unfortunate as I truly believe so many employees here are caring and value customers and human beings in general but no consumer should have to be subjected to this conduct and behavior when buying weekly groceries. I am committed to supporting local businesses that value my patronage and this is not a place that does. Hopefully management cares enough to read this and make a difference.

Whenever I'm getting home late from work and I don't feel like cooking or need some last minute…read moregroceries, I make a detour off the Clearview Expy and head to HMart. This store used to be a Waldbaums back in the day and had been taken over by the Korean supermarket chain. It's not as big as other HMarts in the suburbs, but definitely larger than others in Flushing, so can offer a larger variety of goods. The parking lot is also not as big and is full almost all of the time, but you can also park at the parking lot of the Webster Bank next door after hours or on the street. Grab a cart and start shopping! As you enter through the automatic sliding doors, sale items like toilet paper, snacks and rice are stacked high in the vestibule. The inner door opens into the produce section with stacks of Korean pears, fresh cut fruit platters and other exotic vegetables & fruits you would not find at your local Key Food or Stop-N-Shop. The Seafood section is also unique in that they stock live exotic species like abalone, sole, Asian hairy crabs & spiny lobsters. They also have sushi grade tuna, salmon, yellowtail & other sushi favorites. The prepared foods section is where I fill up most of my cart. Marinated chicken (boneless thighs, drumsticks & tenders), ribeye bulgogi, LA kalbi, spicy pork jowl & belly are available to take home straight to your stove or grill. The banchan section is extensive and takes up an entire wall of refrigerated cases as well as some in the aisles. If you don't even want to cook, get some hot prepared meals or something from the food court counter. Remember that the pre-packaged hot foods are 50% off after 5pm. For dessert, there is a Paris Baguette counter also. Order a custom made cake or pick up some pastries to go. If HMart were open 24 hrs, I might grab a comforter, roll myself up like a dumpling and never have to leave!

I usually go for the bugogi, which my daughter loves, and the frozen dumplings. But today, because after 5pm some prepared foods are 50% off, my brother bought 1 container of various sushi, 1 of nigiri, and 1 of BBQ ribs. I don't think you can compare this sushi with the sushi from a Japanese restaurant, but the ones that I tried were ok. Note the sushi usually comes with soy sauce, ginger, and wasabi that you can add. They also have a bakery, a loyalty program, and if you like to garden, Garden World is right next door.
