This place was referred by another auto place not far from here. When I called to inquire about prices I got courteous service. Later when I drove in I was met with stony stares and SILENCE. There were at least 3 mechanics/staff (couldn't really tell because there was no uniformity in what they were wearing...one or two had on something "official"-looking and the other two seemed to be dressed in street clothes but were under the hoods of cars or doing something mechanical elsewhere in the shop. Anyway, I pulled in and stopped, turned off the motor. Two of the men looked up, gave me eye contact and then went back to what they were doing. No acknowledgement. No "hey, what can I do for you?" No, "I'll be right with you." Nothing. My hopes raised when one of them walked my way, but then he walked on by and up the ramp to another area without a glance. I'm like "w-t-f?" I purposefully sat there for 5 minutes to see if ANYONE would approach me. Nada. So I left. I have NEVER been treated in this manner and wonder if it was a cultural thing. I am a black woman and they were Hispanic-looking. Perhaps I was supposed to initiate the conversation? But why? I am A CUSTOMER. It should be on the business to speak first. read more

No one likes getting their car smogged. But if you need it done, this is the place to go. It's tucked between Donut Friend and a tattoo shop on York. Drive slow or you might miss it. I've taken my car here for my last three smog certifications and have always been more than happy with the price and the service I've received. It's a one man operation, and the guy there is really nice and very efficient. You're in and out of there in no time at all. I was there on Friday and my car failed. Long story short, I ended up having to have my car re-tested two more times, and he took care of it without any hassle and was always very pleasant, even though I'm sure he was tired of seeing me and my car in his shop by the end of it all. And...He only charged me once for the initial test and certificate. I'll definitely be back the next time I need my car smogged. read more

The man running the test is helpful, friendly, and very approachable. They have three couches on which you can sit while you wait, a working flat screen TV, and a coffee maker! My old 98 Explorer passed. This place is great, the guy is real nice. When I first took the car in he was real honest in saying that the car would not pass on the account of an engine light being on. He explained that there have been new benchmarks set and even offered to hook the car up to the machine for free just to show me.
