A Lake Jackson Gem! Yoshi can be found hidden around the corner from HEB in a strip center. My go to order is the two roll Maki: Red Dragon Roll & Pepper Tuna Avo roll combo. It comes with a soup or salad and I always opt for the salad, delicious! I try to pick a different appetizer every time I drop in. I tried the hama orenji recently and the combination of citrus with fish was delightful! They provide a lot of food for a great price. Their bento boxes are VERY filling too. There's truly something for everyone whether you want rice and protein, a noodle soup, or an assortment of sushi. Try it out if you're in town, you will not be disappointed! read more

Location is easy to get to atmosphere. Nice service was good. Overall food quality was lacking ordered the Szechuan chicken with fried rice and the sesame chicken with fried rice. The Szechuan, which should be hot was not at all. You could feed it to a baby the sesame I was told would be just sweet and it was OK. Fried rice was nothing more than rice with soy sauce no vegetables I did find one flake of a egg, when we told the waiter at the end that the sesame wasn't hot at all, he offered to add more to it but we were already finished if he had a came and ask us when we first got our food if everything was OK I would've been able to tell him it was not hot at all. He could've fixed it at that point, but he didn't come check on us till we were finished. Doubt we will be back. They seem to be very busy for a Monday at noon. I suspect their sushi is better than their Chinese since that seemed to be what people were ordering. read more

So, I'll be honest, I felt a bit skeptical because I'm a bit picky when it comes to sushi... After reading through some reviews, I decided to give Yoshi a try. We ordered a couple rolls and they were really good. The fish tasted fresh and prices were a bit less than I'm used to paying. One of yellow tail rolls seemed like the fish was a bit warm (room temp), bit fingers crossed this was just from the rice. At the urging of a friend I ordered a cup of hot and sour soup. Normally, I would not order this at a sushi place... But I'm glad I did. Probably the best cup of hot and sour soup I've ever had. The service was awesome, server was prompt, kept the glasses full and checked in on us throughout the meal. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. read more

It's decent food but nothing special. It's nice for a change of pace down here in LJ where there aren't a lot of options.

I lived in Japan for a number of years, and the sushi here was comparable to what I was able to get over there. It's more expensive here, but that is to be expected. This is the only place we get sushi in the Brazosport area. Other dishes are good, too. I am so glad I finally found this place! Food was delicious! We ordered the General Tso's, Sesame chkn and the Szechuan chkn, with fried & steamed rice. Oh and egg drop soup. Everything was flavorful and not overly fried with grease. They give generous portions, so we got to eat half for dinner and half for the next day. The chicken was covered with a thick sauce , which we loved! I hate when the sauce is runny, it just looks sad. That's another restaurant's review. They have our loyalty now! read more
