Drakht is the sweetest and most attentive person when it comes to nails. She takes her time, asks if it's to your liking, and makes sure you leave completely happy. I always bring in a picture of what I want done (mostly off Pinterest) and she always delivers! Once I scratched my nails cooking and told her about it. She fixed it for me for free without even hesitating. I've been coming to her for about 6 months now and it's always a pleasant experience!

    Horrible Job!
    Evelyn L.

Booked Drakhtui via IG, walked in first time there. No welcome, no greeting just " what color" . I chose my color and "trusted " her social media. Right off the bat she burned my finger with her tool and then again burned another finger. I've never done my nails and not have the person even ask for my name. She was clearly in a rush and it's just truly unbelievable how unprofessional she was. Also to note her work area was a mess, everything looked dirty. My hands look horrid and not worth 85 dollars. This is not the work she advertised, I feel like my 12 yr old daughter could have done a better job. Save yourself the time and money don't go here.

I usually do my nails every three weeks and have a regular place I go to. I saw Drakht work came up on my Instagram feed and looked clean and beautiful, so I decided to try and come to you. I almost never complain, but I have honestly never received such a careless and disrespectful job in my life. There are visible gaps between my natural nail and the product. My cuticles and the entire nail area are covered with glue. All of my nails are extremely painful -- my cuticles, the surrounding skin, and even underneath the nails. The glue is stuck on my cuticles and under my nails, trapping the skin, and it is causing a lot of pain and discomfort. My nails look awful. They are completely uneven -- different lengths, widths, and shapes. One nail is wide, one thin, one short, one long, one round, and one almond-shaped. I have truly never experienced anything like this before.

This was one of the worst nail appointments I have ever had. My appointment was with a nail tech who goes by @drakht_nails on Instagram. She never introduced herself, so I do not even know her name. I found her through an Instagram ad and unfortunately did not check the salon reviews beforehand. The salon name is not listed anywhere on her page, which in hindsight feels intentional after reading the reviews tied to the address. When I arrived, I waited over 10 minutes inside the salon with no one available to check me in. I had messaged her on Instagram upon arrival but received no response. Eventually, someone asked what I was there for and called her from the back. She immediately began speaking to me in Armenian, which I do not understand, and appeared annoyed that I could not respond. She then repeatedly questioned whether I had actually booked with her, which made the interaction uncomfortable from the start. During the cuticle prep, my cuticles were burning intensely. Three of my fingers started bleeding, and one continued bleeding for a while. She applied products directly onto my actively bleeding finger without acknowledging it or apologizing. She did not explain what she was applying, and when I asked to see the product because it hurt and I was concerned about infection, she seemed visibly annoyed. Despite the bleeding, she continued rushing through the manicure, applying gel and asking me to place my fingers under the UV light, which caused significant discomfort. Throughout the appointment, whenever I asked to shorten my nails further or adjust the shape, I was met with clear attitude. She barely acknowledged me, spent most of the time speaking in another language with others in the salon, and even took a phone call mid-appointment. It genuinely felt like she was doing me a favor rather than providing a paid service. When she applied the French, I pointed out that the polish looked uneven. I asked multiple times for it to be corrected, and my concerns were ignored. The salon itself was extremely cluttered. There were items everywhere, making it difficult to even rest my arms on the table without knocking things over. The space was so crowded that there was a hair chair directly behind me, and the hair tech repeatedly bumped into me during the service as if I was in the way. Overall, the experience was stressful, uncomfortable, and unprofessional. There was constant attitude, poor communication, and very little care. I am now hoping I do not develop an infection and that my very sore cuticles heal soon. It was also extremely difficult to communicate in English with anyone in the salon, and it felt unwelcoming unless you spoke their language.

    What I asked for

you probably should find somewhere else if you're reading this, ruined my engagement nails. So first off i want to highlight what I liked- Vicky, who did my nails was a very sweet girl, and she was very gentle with my cuticles. The place was clean and they didn't keep me waiting for my service. Now for the bad- First off as you can see I didn't get anything like the picture of what I wanted- and this are my ENGAGEMENT photo nails and so frankly I was so bummed I spent 150$ to look like this. She constantly pushed for longer nails and then didn't even file them to the proper length I wanted. The gold looks sloppy and I just felt like she wanted me out of her chair by the end of our appointment. Now, by fair the worst part was the front desk / possible owner? (I hope not for everyone's sake). During my appointment they mainly spoke in their native language, which I happen to understand. She was being absolutely vile towards vicky and called my nails ugly numerous times and thought it was a waste of time. THEN by the end of the appointment she came up to me and started taking pictures of me and my nails without even looking at me let alone asking for my consent. Overall, Vicky is a sweet girl, the front desk lady was horrible, and the service was mediocre. This kind of ruined my engagement experience for me. Just go to @Piggy's Nails, shes 10000% better, I should have just gone back to her.

Through the non-profit "Children with Hair Loss" Du Japon Hair Club was vetted for donations and is the only approved salon in the Los Angeles area. I met Yuki, who owns and operates this salon and also one of the best stylists I've had in my years of barbers. She is so nice and explained the process of the donation and also provided guidance on selecting the best hair cut for me. After looking at a few photos, I decided to go with a moderate cut to ease back into the general population. I was so happy with the results and would recommend Yuki to any of my friends. She will only take appointments and is the busiest during the weekend. I would recommend calling well in advance for your appointment, as she works generally towards the end of the week through the weekend.

Yuki should have warned me that my hair was too fine for this process instead of taking my money to ruin my hair. If she is so experienced and so great she should have known better and know that the process she was doing would ruin my hair. This is my warning to others that are going here to have straightening done. Don't rely on her to tell you it's not right for your hair. To top it off when I called to tell her she did not apologize, she did not act as though she felt bad her response was not caring at all. Not to mention she didn't offer any advice or a refund. Now it will take me years to get my hair healthy and I'm so upset.

I left the salon feeling great, and a week later I'm loving my haircut even more. I'm especially grateful to Anya and the salon for being so accommodating and respectful since I wear the hijab and require privacy during hair services - something many salons have turned me away for in the past, and Anya handled everything with such kindness and professionalism. Anya is incredibly talented, patient, and kind. My hair feels healthier, fuller, and more voluminous than it has in a long time - and she gave me curtain bangs I honestly didn't think my hair could pull off. Thank you, Anya, for a beautiful haircut and for making the experience so positive. I can't recommend her enough.

I said I had another appt after but that would be fine. I arrived and sat down and waited. They said I was checked in. I waited one hour before going to the front desk to say that now, I would not have time to do the appt because, as I told them, I would have to leave for another appt. I had allotted 2 hours and now there was only 1 hour left and I had not even been seen or sent for hair washing. All the while I waited, I could see Sal doing at least 2 other people's hair. When I asked the front desk if I could reschedule, they said they would talk to him. Several minutes passed. Sal was aware that I was there, but chose not to speak to me himself. He chose not to even take two minutes to face me and apologize. He was going to Mexico the next night, and could only offer the next day during hours I had to work. The salon manager apologized for Sal and offered another hair dresser. I have curly hair and want someone experienced in curly hair- especially when the haircut is right before my wedding and will cost hundreds of dollars. I think the worst part was that Sal was right there but simply didn't have the courtesy to apologize. I will never return to this salon. As for my wedding in two weeks, I have asked my makeup artist to help me find someone.

My appt she got me back to my blonde I've been missing. I was in hawaii for some time and my hair was grown out from moving and just didn't find the right stylist. She brought me BACK. To a beautiful, very bright/light blonde! And my hair feels very healthy as well! She was so attentive, meticulous and so fun too talk with as well. I didn't realize or forgot they have parking in front and they will even run out to pay your meter for you if needed. I just parked in the neighborhood nearby. Salon vibes are so chill and inviting. Coffee and water provided too. A no pressure vibe which I loved. No product pushing, no pressure whatsoever when describing what you are trying to get. Sometimes I'm anxious with the salon because it's a lot when it comes to finding the right blonde or just awkward conversation. Not here! She works with you so well and you immediately feel comfortable walking into the salon and through the entire interaction. And just comfortable, fun environment while you're there! Fun conversation, every one was so incredibly nice. I also can't sit still for long- severe back problems and adhd so it was nice I could get up and move as needed. Slightly pricey but expected with the work she provided for myself.

She is 100% the doctor and the surgeon. I got exactly what | asked for. Read that again: EXACTLY what I asked for. Having experienced the accuracy of an exclusively blonde colorist, I cannot overstate that value. 3) Communication It's possible your colorist may have to interpret what you're asking for. It's possible this takes time. Cait spent time with me. She encouraged me to say more and made me feel comfortable (read: not-stupid) as I probably talked out of both sides of my mouth and stumbled through my wants, needs, pictures, let-downs, etc. Look, I don't care who's hair you've colored, or "red carpet" this, "social media following" that blah blee blah. All of your skill and knowledge and experience is lost on me if: I'm intimidated You have one eye on the clock for our entire consult You're annoyed with my inability to articulate Couple the thorough communication with the technical capability and B/B is in a whole other league, entirely. Caitlin, you should be really proud of this business. Ok. SO: I hesitate to comment on/share price and service-time because every blonde really is unique BUT since that's probably the info you're looking for, I'll say this: Re price: Not inexpensive ALTHOUGH more than fair (even before you consider comps at other salons) Re time: It takes as long as it takes. Dunno what else to say about that one. Its bleach, people. Maybe don't rush it? TL;DR? Um, "best". You get what you pay for. Proceed with confidence (and enthusiasm!) srsly though? Go back and read it, it's not that long.
