If I could give ZERO stars I would. I dropped my bulldog off there for grooming in August. She was perfectly fine when I dropped her off with ZERO issues. When I came back she was in "the Back" with many other dogs and was breathing heavily. A/C was OFF. The place was very warm and quite frankly too many dogs and hot. I put my dog in my car started to drive when she started foaming at the mouth and could not breath. I raced her to Middlesex Animal Hospital in Billerica. They brought her in as a medical emergency and saved her life. They placed her on a cooling bed with bolus "I/V's- she was diagnosed with heat exhaustion. Her temp was dangerously high and thank god I got there when I did. She had to stay in the hospital for monitoring. I called "you dirty dog" and the owner actually did not want to give me my money back. I threatened to take her to court and showed my paperwork from the Vet. This place is not what it use to be. I will never return every again. Not safe and its a dump. All set! read more

To all the pet lovers! This is by far the most amazing and kind to our pet friends! I took my love Roy to see them after going to that nasty place Pet Smart in Chelmsford Mass. So when I tried to go to you dirty dog he was so scared And peeing everywhere, shaking. I have never Seen him like this. And he is just a puppy, OK this is where it get good. As scared as he Was I wanted to take him home and say Forget it, because I did not want to have Him be so scared. But just as I was going To say forget it. The owners daughter comes Over to him gets on the floor and very slowly Moves and talks to him. She was AMAZING! So then she started slowly petting him. I was amazed. But then the owner came out And she was just as amazing so between the both of them they had my boy relaxed and a happy boy again! And the grooming was spot on! I have to say that you will not find a better place To bring your pet friends! They are awesome and So down to earth, they make you feel like you are family. So please pass the word around for them! I love this place. It's small, It's affordable and easy to find. Their hours are decent as well. Cindy, the owner, used to be the only staff there - but she has since gotten busier and has expanded her staff a little. They're all pleasant and do a nice job with the grooming. They also provide the option to wash your own dog, which is cheaper. They carry limited accessories and food and are average in price. They also contract with a trainer that you hire independently, but your training will be at You Dirty Dog (or in your home). This trainer is an excellent resource that YDD provides. read more

Where do I start? Our first visit, second or third? Whoever has had a bad experience from them has got to give them another shot. As soon as you walk in the door, there is no feeling of regret of bringing you pup here. Customer service and how they handle your pup is all that matters. I can leave my pups here with no worries because the feeling that their in good hands is there. First visit: we had a bad experience at another grooming place so we called them up for a flea emergency. They took us the day of AND APOLOGIZED TO US FOR HAVING A BAD EXPERIENCE AT ANOTHER PLACE!!!!! What??? Yeah, they said sorry that we had to go through that. Told the owner, I believe, our concerns and took care of the issue right away at reasonable price point. Did not feel we were taken advantage of due to our situation. Second visit actually turned out to be cheaper than the first place we went to. Our shihtzu and Maltese were welcomed with their young staff with voices to keep their tails up. Again, the owner listened carefully to our needs and took care of both dogs. This visit was very busy and it took several hours, so plan your day accordingly..it's worth the wait. Third visit we brought our third newborn, a pitbull puppy.(5 months) The great thing about this spot is they they accept all breeds. Our pit was priced very fair due to his short hair and he looks amazing along with the two other ones. At this point, I don't even care about the price or even if they accidentally slip and put a bald spot on our pups. Mistakes happen and it is what is it. All that matters is that you know they will take care of your pups like they are their own. read more

I had used the self serve dog washing service here in the past. The staff at that time was friendly and helpful. I did bring my own products to these appts and thought $18 was well worth the " no clean up" in my bathroom. I did on this last occasion make an 11am appointment to have my large long haired dog groomed by staff. I dropped my dog off and asked for a standard wash with clipping of fur between her toe pads. I did call to check on the status of the grooming at 4:30 and they said they tried to call me but had not and that she would be ready in 1/2 hr. My husband picked our dog up and on the way home noticed a large 1/2 dollar size welt on its snout. The welt had opened up the next day like a burn. I called the owner who knew nothing about what had transpired during the appointment, and just offered to take a look a the injury if I brought the dog in. My dog also can home very dehydrated and drank 2 large bowls of water which make me think they never offered her water all afternoon. The fur between her pads was not trimmed either. The young girls that did the initial intake when I dropped my dog off were about 13 years old. You would think an initial intake would be taken more seriously. No questions about my dogs behavior were asked as there was not need to muzzle her for a grooming. The owner never called me back after my initial complaint of the injury either. read more

Checked out this place for the 1st time today for their self service dog wash. We have two Shepard/lab mix dogs, Daisy & Duke, that we rescued a year ago. We felt like they felt safe enough to let let us give them a bath but we didn't want to drop them off at a groomers and freak them out! This place seemed like the ideal solution so we wouldn't have to have our bathroom at home destroyed if things didn't go well! This place was perfect! The woman who owns the place was so sweet and helpful! They supply everything, apron, shampoo, dryers, brushes and clippers! The dogs were definitely nervous but the did great overall! So proud of our babies!!! They even clean up after you! All for $20!! Thank you for a great experience! Highly recommend this place!! read more

I'm giving this 2 stars cause the people there were nice but I will never Take my Cat there again when I got home from his Groomer Visit I found 4 cuts on my poor Baby which one was bleeding I wish they had told me before I left there but the girl that groomed him had already left and I believe it was her daughter that was there not sure but I do not think she has a license to groom really was not professional at all!!!!!! read more

We brought our lab puppy in for a full service bath and nail clipping. He loved them and they loved him as well. True dog lovers through and through. This place is awesome. The staff was super helpful sanitizing the tub beforehand and setting me up with my German Shepherd, making sure I had everything I needed. I really enjoyed the staff too since they were really friendly. They made me feel right at home and made my dog feel at home too! So happy with You Dirty Dog Grooming!! Took my boys there yesterday for the first time and it won't be the last. My last groomer I had been using for 13 years but after moving out of the area I had to find a new one. I have never been this happy with a groomer. They were sparkling clean, smelled fantastic, got exactly the cut I asked for and I have never seen their ears so clean. One of my dogs is difficult in fact some may say he's a jerk to groom but not You Dirty Dog. They were just so gentle, loving and understanding. I am so happy!! Barely left with a clean dog. Recently, we went here to give our dog a bath. The staff was friendly and spent most of their time on the web while we were in. Unfortunately, the environment was gross. Not sure the tub had been cleaned out from the previous use. Brushes full of dog hair. The floor was covered in dog hair. The towels provided smelt horrible. We had to just use the dryer or our pup would have smelt the same. We have been to many dog washes before and will not be back to this one. read more

This place was amazing and squeezed us in on short notice!! Our 12 week old kitten Pancake got herself into some mayonnaise and we could not get the oil out of her fur ourselves. I just returned from a self wash and nail trim for my 85 pound Golden, What a great experience. The owner and her daughter are so good with dogs and it's clear they love what they do. A man came in with a large dog for a nail trim. He was apprehensive because his dog "didn't do well with other dogs or strangers." They welcomed both the owner and the dog without hesitation, They set up a privacy screen and took care of the nails and his anxiety. Amazing. They were having so much fun grooming a pit bull that my dog never stopped wagging her tail throughout her own bath even though we were two tubs over. There are so many groomers to choose from but we are so fortunate to have this hidden gem in North Billerica. read more

I dropped my puppy off here last week for her first grooming. The owner clearly LOVES animals. They played with my puppy for an hour before even starting the grooming, to make sure she would be comfortable with them in the new environment. Above and beyond! I picked up my puppy- Her tail was wagging and clearly had a great time with the team at You Dirty Dog. On top of that, I have never felt her fur so soft.
