I always loved the root beer barrels. I use to have birthday parties there and they were memorable and fun. I hadn't been there in about 20 years but someone I know was looking for a very specific candy so I thought of course "a candy shop would have that". I walked in and the store was empty. I don't mean product-wise, though it was seriously lacking in that department too. There was 1 employee there who seemed less than happy to have a customer. I simply asked if he had the candy item I was looking for and he just sternly said "no"...and that was it. That was what will most likely be my last trip there ever. It was disappointing in every way possible. There are way too many better options now for kosher candies. Sad. I don't know how Nyc longer they will stay in business. Quite frankly, I'm amazed they've lasted this long.
