The guys that came out to move my things were polite. That is the only nice thing that I have to say about this company. The "manager" Dustin and the owner Konner are EXTREMELY unprofessional. I cannot express how bad the quality of customer service was, so I will just tell my story. ON MY MOVING DAY, the team showed up (late) to my house, and were having trouble navigating our narrow driveway. I went out and inquired as to what the issue was. The team lead explained that if the cedar tree branches that were encroaching about 3 inches into the driveway scratched the advertising wrap on the truck the crew would have to pay for it, so he was calling the owner Konner. He had Konner on speaker phone. His exact words were: IT IS BETTER TO CANCEL THE JOB THAN SCRATCH MY TRUCK. Terrible, terrible customer service. I ended up with broken furniture, which the team lead called Dustin ("manager") about so that I could be compensated. Dustin called me and asked me if I was SURE it wasn't like that before. I can't open 4 of my dresser drawers, I am quite sure that your employee would not have called you to tell you that they broke something unless they actually did. It seems that the people who move the furniture are trained to turn EVERYTHING on it's side: dressers, chest of drawers, TV console (actually left on its side in my living room of my new home), couch, recliner, you name it. It all got turned on its side. This caused a lot of issues in the following days with the contents of drawers, etc, but I am so tired of dealing with their awful customer service that I'm not even going to mention it. If you care about how people treat you, do not use this company.

After several moves over the last few years, we decided to hire All My Sons Moving. Before booking,…read moreI spent considerable time discussing our move with administrative staff. I explained that we are a large family with a significant amount of belongings and provided a weight estimate based on our previous move, which remained accurate. I also detailed which large items would and would not be moving so they could provide an accurate quote and time estimate. Based on that information, I was advised that two trucks would be the best option to complete the move efficiently. On moving day, five workers and two trucks arrived. One of my biggest frustrations was that a large portion of the morning was spent rewrapping furniture that I had already shrink-wrapped myself. Despite clearly stating that I did not need boxes, tape, or packing materials, I was still charged for supplies. I had already purchased and used my own materials before the crew arrived. The loading process moved much slower than expected, with considerable downtime and conversation among crew members. So much time was lost that by the end of the day we were at risk of not getting our belongings off the trucks before the crew reached their maximum allowable work hours. It was already dark, and unloading became rushed simply to get everything off the trucks and the remaining items to a storage unit. I was left wondering what would happen if time ran out, whether my belongings would remain on the truck, and what additional costs would be incurred. The crew was friendly and professional, and we never felt uncomfortable having them in our home. However, the execution of the move was disappointing. At one point, a suggestion was made to stop loading, drive over an hour to our new home, unload, and then return to finish loading. Given the already tight schedule, this would have added approximately two more hours of paid labor time and further delayed the move. Another major issue was that the trucks were not packed efficiently. Despite providing detailed information in advance and reducing the amount of furniture being moved--including leaving behind mattresses, larger outdoor items, and furniture that did not require disassembly--not all of our belongings fit on the two trucks that had been recommended by the company. As a result, we had to rent a U-Haul and make additional trips, creating unexpected expenses, delays, and stress. The entire purpose of hiring professional movers was to reduce that burden, not increase it. By the end of the day, my children and I attempted to help move items into the house to speed things up, but the foreman repeatedly stopped us from assisting. While I appreciated the concern, the reality was that we were trying to avoid a situation where our belongings remained on the truck due to time constraints. The move ultimately cost several thousand dollars more than the original estimate because of the additional hours incurred. Had I failed to provide accurate information, I could understand the discrepancy. However, I supplied a detailed inventory, an accurate weight estimate of approximately 14,000 pounds, and a clear description of a typical five-bedroom household. I also made numerous calls before the move to answer questions and ensure everyone had the information necessary to complete the job successfully. Given the amount of communication and preparation, I expected a much better outcome. Unfortunately, this experience left me disappointed. While the crew was courteous, I believe the move was significantly underestimated, poorly planned, and unnecessarily expensive. My advice to future customers is to carefully review customer feedback on multiple platforms before booking. I wish I had paid closer attention to the Yelp reviews before making my decision.

I had a very good experience with Thunder Moving…read more I had already gotten quotes from several companies when I messaged Kye on Yelp. I am glad I switched for a few reasons. 1) Some other moving companies charge you from the time their truck leaves their own building to the time they get back to their own building, which makes zero sense. Thunder Moving only charges you for time the guys spend actually moving, down to the minute. 2) Kye responds basically instantly, most of the time within minutes. Communication was flawless, which is of insane importance on days where everything overlaps and needs to happen as smoothly as possible. 3) I told Kye I couldn't match an exact 2:00 PM window because I was closing on my house right at 1:00 PM and didn't know how long it would take. He said it was no problem and that he would let the team know. I happened to close early and messaged Kye and the moving team called me within like 20 minutes. 4) Clayton and Cade were very polite and professional. They had a trustworthy, small business demeanor and at no point did I feel uncomfortable in a series of potentially stressful/vulnerable situations. I immediately told them that I had one item I was worried about, a massive marble table that took me and my friends great effort to move. Clayton and Cade picked it up like a Ritz cracker and said that they could do it no problem. When placing the actual table at the new house, I initially wanted them to put it off-center to fit a side table in the dining room, but Cade said, "Do you want it under the light?" and I thought, "duh, he's right." I'm glad he said something cuz it would be a royal pain in my ass to move it later, even a few feet. Clayton seemed to have the leadership role and asked all the right questions and was very efficient with time and going over paperwork. He started the clock literally the minute they started moving so there was no "bloat" or an inflated price. He even slightly corrected a few minutes we had spent going over some things since the actual moving was done. Overall, he came across very knowledgeable and definitely has leadership potential. Cade was awesome too and super friendly. When I first saw them get out of the truck, I thought "man these guys are string beans," but actually they were super strong. At one point Cade was carrying a million pound object with just his fingers and had a facial expression like he was carrying a piece of paper. From the time the clock started to the time they were done, they were in constant movement. There was no slacking or breaks, not that I would have complained if they needed breaks. I'm just pointing out these two guys were super efficient. They made a plan for every object and communicated well between each other. Anyone who's moved knows that the planning part is the most important when trying to fit weird-shaped things through small doors and they made a great team. It would have taken me and my friends double the amount of time with triple the amount of headache. 5) The ending price was actually cheaper than I expected. There were no hidden fees, literally just the math of the hourly rate times the minutes used. I think maybe there were some minor charges for things like wrap or something, but I either didn't use it or didn't use much. 6) Their Yelp reviews were WAY better than competitors. Even the complaints seem to have the irate customer dying off on responses while Kye is still replying. If you're that mad and have a justifiable reason, I don't see why you wouldn't keep following up both in email and on Yelp. Definitely seems like if Thunder were in the wrong, you wouldn't let them have the last word and just give up. Anyway, obviously I can't speak to their ability to handle disputes, etc. since my experience was seamless, but I've worked in CS/Management for a long time and have dealt with thousands of irate customers. I've never seen a customer who was absolutely in the right just stop responding. If you got the proof, you got the proof, and you aren't going to stop chasing money that you feel is yours. Just my two cents. Anyway, moving is super annoying and I hope I never have to do it again. Even with Thunder doing all the heavy lifting, I'm exhausted and in pain. But if I had to move again I would for sure use Thunder Moving and highly recommend them.

Extremely disappointed with the service we received. Several boxes were clearly labeled "Fragile"…read moreand "Do Not Stack," yet one mover ignored these warnings and stacked heavy boxes on top anyway. He also broke a desk during the move, and we now have to go through the process of getting reimbursed for the damage. He also did not speak English, which made communication very difficult and required us to direct him through each step ourselves, something we hired a moving company to avoid. The only mover who could communicate with us was clearly overwhelmed and, to make matters worse, the mover who could not speak english had headphones in during the move, making it even harder to give directions. Overall, it felt like we were doing the move ourselves despite paying for professional help. I would not recommend this company based on our experience.
