I visited on a Saturday around 10am. Pros: The gentleman at the front desk was nice and welcoming. Plenty of equipment available because its not busy at all. Cons: The gym had a wet moldy smell. The group fitness room was dark and the music quality was horrible. Some of the gym equipment was rusty and looked unclean. This gym definitely needs dome revamping. I started working out consistently about a year ago now and I think this YouFit has all the necessities. The staff is pretty friendly and able answer any questions you may have. There are plenty of machines to do cardio including: treadmills, rowing machines, stair masters, and stationary bikes. As for free weights and barbells they have plenty of those too! The weights also look in much better condition than various other gyms I've been too. Sure, YouFit may not have an Olympic sized pool or a daycare area but I think it has all you need to start your fitness journey! read more

The gym equipment is okay however I stopped going to the gym and wanted to cancel my membership so i went to the club that i go to and they gave me a phone number to call to cancel it and when i tried to cancel the membership they basically told me no unless Im moving to a different state/country that's actually crazy that they make it impossible for people to cancel their membership so if you want this membership for life join but if you don't please refrain from joining, up to this day I still have not been able to cancel the membership. read more

I'm very upset and confused. I walked in a couple hours ago and went str8 to the stair master. Did my work out and left. I see I was charged for a water and I don't even under how. We have an access code so if I didn't enter my code how was this employee KAELIF! able to charge me. I will be removing my card on file. This makes no sense and I barely even said hi. I just scanned my lime card after work, went to the stair master for 20 minutes and left. Horrible that this employee ran my credit card. That's 100 percent illegal. What's the point of the access code. Wow! This isn't even my gym in my city so I didn't want anyone knowing I took 20 minutes for myself after work. I normally come to this Youfit location for their classes. Specifically their Zumba class! I love the carribean and Hispanic music they play during Zumba in comparison to the other locations where it's pop or Hispanic only. The instructors are always full of energy! I'm giving this location a 4/5 because it's not as well kept as the other locations I've been to such as Weston or Davie. Ultimately love going to their classes! read more

I honestly like this gym better than LA fitness, and it's only half the cost... And that's for the premium membership! The staff is friendly and helpful. They do not pressure you. They keep the facilities clean and maintained. There is plenty of equipment, and it is never so crowded that I have had to wait to do anything, which is very helpful. They have a lot of free weights and racks, as well as a lot of machines, and a dedicated cardio area up stairs. Youfit offers fitness classes, but I have not participated in any yet. read more

Number 1: Hours -- I would prefer a gym that is 24 hours or at least late night hours 7 days a week. Number 2: Capacity-- ALWAYS packed. I got off work and went to the closest location as a lime member I am able to travel to any location.Unfortunately, today was not the case I was denied access to their facility since I did not have a towel. I am very upset because I purchase this membership based on the services that it should give me which it didn't. Alma Moreno denied me from entering without a towel which makes no sense. Number one I have been to several other locations and this one is by far have the worst sanitation policy. I am definitely reporting this gym to the Health Department. I have never been so mistreated or disrespected by a gym then this corporation. Several complaints had to be made due to employee behavior as well as customer behavior for taking up machines, talking on the phone, etc and so on. When I try to address this I was threatened by two managers female managers. I was informed that I had a warning just for letting them know about concerns I have. Do not go to the gym!! the staff is extremely unprofessional and inept with dealing with customers and disrespectful save yourself the trouble and go to literally any other gym. I absolutely enjoy this gym. I have been a member for two years and 3 months now and it is extremely overlooked. They have great equipment and if you come to workout like you should then this is the gym for you. It may not be as fancy as Equinox, 24 hour fitness and others, but it has everything they do minus a pool and the classes. (I DO EDIT HERE BECAUSE NOW THEY DO HAVE ONE CLASS!) The class is for the circuit which is a series of many different machines and steps for cardio. It lasts about 25 minutes and you ge a full body workout. The classes are on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 6:45 pm but get there early to sign up or do it the day before. They also now added a Saturday at 11:30AM one! The two guys who usually are there motivating the ladies are extremely nice and do help out in making sure that you are using the machines properly. The best thing about this gym is that you can get in with no down and $10 a month. I upgraded to $20 a month and I can get unlimited tanning and I can always have 1 guest with me everyday so that is my husband. Not to mention that if you upgrade to the VIP like I did you can visit any location and get 25% or something like that on their shakes, drinks and water. Just that alone is a deal because I get to buy my red bulls here for $1.75!!! That is a steal! Besides using their facilities I have taken advantage of hiring a personal trainer here and I am such a lucky girl to have the nicest, yet hardest working, most knowledgeable trainer I have ever had. He is very motivating, says it like it is, and he will make you work off those pounds! I highly recommend this gym to anyone who wants great price, quality, and good customer service and if you are in the market to really making sure you are using the machines properly I suggest you do get a personal trainer! It is the best thing I did and after a year that I had a trainer I can now see the importance of having one in the beginning of my weight loss journey. BTW... My trainer's name... Korey! I do recommend him to anyone! He is very nice like I said, but he really is very motivating to the ladies. He knows what makes us feel uncomfortable, and is inspiring! A lot of equipment at this location. It appears that most of the machines are duplicated. And it sure isn't busy at this time. It is kept clean (as are all the YouFits I have been to). There is lots of space and it feels comfortable to go at my own pace as no one is waiting for my machine. I asked one of the staff about which machine to use for my hamstring injury and he not only told me which one but spent several minutes making sure I knew how to use it properly and safely. I cancelled my account in March of 2012, due to me moving and didn't know locations. I walked into location located @9057 Taft St and cancelled membership and paid cancellation fee. I went to a location today located in Sunrise to try and sign up and I was told that I have a balance of $373 dollars. The young lady had everything on file except my cancellation letter, what a coincidence that she didn't have the letter on file, she never tried to help all she said was that we have a program that you can do payments, why would I pay that if I cancelled my membership? Then she asked if I had the letter from 5 years ago... really!? This gym will never get business from me and my 6 friends that were going to sign up. There is always a catch with gym memberships. First you can't beat youfit and the $10. This location also has group classes included in your membership fee. The location is usually very clean and there is lots of equipment! They have a section for a quick 30 minute workout of weights and cardio ...kind of like the premise of curves. They actually have an upstairs with lots of other extra cardio equipment. You fit is cheaper because you don't have the pool, child care, or sauna. If you need that then you fit is not for you. I actually elect the $20 membership which means I can take a friend and get a discount on the drinks. What I love about this location is they have wifi for their members and are open 24 hours during the week!!! What I hate about this location is it is always brutally hot! Now I know some of you say that you go to the gym to sweat. Um, no, I go to work out and yes, I do end up glistening, but I don't want any extra or I would work outside! I'm just saying!!! Now I did transfer my 24 hour fitness membership to youfit and honestly, I have saved drastically and the ony thing I miss is the cute guy at the desk and the sauna for the once a month I used it, lol. So if they want 5 stars then they need to turn down the a/c and add the lateral leg machine at a few other locations or I will take one of the two :-) read more

I have a lime card so I can go to any of the youfit locations around. Now normally this isn't my regular one, but I work close by it. One morning my friend told me he would help me work out after work, so I decided to make it easy for us and meet up at this location. The gym is bigger than my normal one and they do have a lot of machines. They have a second floor which is dedicated to cardio which is nice as well. They now do classes in what is like a dance room, and there is a stretching section to the side of it. All in all this gym is nice. Unfortunately, I'll probably do my best to not come to this location again. The last time I was here with my friend, he was helping me work out like he normally does. He had come earlier in the day, and worked out himself. Because of this, he hardly worked out while with me, but was just making sure my form was right (I would ask him if my back was straight while doing some back exercises and what not). We're minding our own business when out of no where a man walks up to us is his normal workout clothes and goes "hey I don't know if you notice me, but I'm the manager." Ok? You're the manager not dressed in uniform, but fine go on. By the way he either didn't notice, or he just normally talks that way, but he was pretty loud for being right next to me. Then he asks which one of us is the member there. When we tell him we both are he decides to figure out something different to go off of. He went on to tell my friend and I that he had been watching us and noticed that my friend "had not picked up one weight." He told my friend he wasn't allowed to help me without working out because it was a policy, but for today we could continue what we were doing. Now if he had stopped there fine. We apologize for never have knowing this policy, nor have we seen it posted anywhere since the policies they want us to know are posted on the mirrors. He then goes to tell me that if I have any questions I should ask the trainers they have at the establishment, and then asked my friend if he was a certified trainer (did I mention he decided to bring one along with him for the whole thing? I don't know if he was trying to prove something to his employees or not). But that wasn't the rude part. Before walking away, and tripping as he does, he tells us that he will "be watching us from now on." We didn't continue our workout, and we left right after. I was annoyed because I know how to treat customers, and that definitely is not the way you do it. You would probably politely ask to talk to them somewhere not filled with people and not act quirt. My friend on the other hand was highly considering canceling his membership because he was so annoyed by everything. The gym itself is nice, but I won't be returning to this one and will make sure to go to my normal one instead. It's pretty sad that after being a member for four or five years, the manager of all people would be the first person to ever be so rude to me and my friend. read more

This location is a lot bigger than the other location that I've been going to for the past year. The equipment looks like it's newer and there is definitely a lot more of it here. There are at least 2 of each machine. Which is nice because you don't end up having to wait for machines usually. There is an upstairs area with the cardio equipment as well as having some on the main level for people that can't do stairs. A separate room houses the circuit training machines where you workout for 30 minutes using each machines. They are numbered and you do reps on each machine for about 30 seconds and then a break for about 10 seconds. You just go down the line as each machine is numbered. I also found when I went into the ladies room that this location has a sauna. So that's nice if you want to relax those muscles after a hard workout. Obviously they have trainers on staff and would of course prefer each member to sign up for training sessions. But even if you don't sign up, there is pretty much always some one at the front desk who you can ask about a machine or something. They do offer a free training session upon signing up for a membership as well. The place is clean and the music isn't cranked up to loud and obnoxious level. Overall I like this YouFit better than the other one I used to go to, just because it's bigger and has more equipment. A nice gym for a great price! read more
