The place up the street where I just bought the boat let me leave for a two hour drive back to Maryland with no trailer lights or safety chains connected or any basic advice on trailering the boat (like not being able to back up the trailer without a pin to lock the brake actuator- who knew?). The man who helped me at Shy Beaver knew. He was extremely nice and patient with me. He taught me a lot and I think he genuinely wanted to see me leave there safe. After getting my chains hooked up He even pieced my wiring together so it worked. He wouldn't even let me pay him. I really owe him more than I can write here. After explaining the reason for my call I could hear the phone operator speaking to someone in the background saying "there's a guy looking for free information" which I wasn't, to whom ever she was speaking to. I was just trying to locate a lower for a good customer. They didn't even take the engine s.n. or hull i.d. before blowing me off. I run a vet owned and operated business and the guy looking for the lower is a vet as well, not that that should make a difference, but we tend to stick together whether we are treated well or poorly and word gets around. I'm more than happy to spread the experience I had dealing with Robbins to anyone that will listen.
