And implied if I was suing because she assumed I was sueing my employer because I had been sleeping with my boss? Level of professionalism 0. Wasted my time for an hour, consistently cut me off, kept asking questions that did not make sense. Then as we are on the phone the call got disconnected 4 times. Their receptionist, Norma = TERRIBLE. Poor communication, constant talking over me. When answering a question she would cut me off after literally one sentence and ask "why aren't you answering my question"? I had to stop her and say i'm literally trying to if you'd let me get a word out, but she didn't let me get to not even my SECOND sentence to understand I'm actually answering it. I had to ask her multiple times to let me finish in order to answer her question, that's communication 101, apparently she didn't pass that course. It was weird, uncomfortable, and unsettling to have someone treat me this way I'm going to for help. Disgusting person. Terrible person to have taking intake calls, aggressive, rude, not an active listener. I don't even know if the attorneys are actually good or not, but if they have her as an intake "specialist", they can't be anywhere near good quality. I was contacted by this firm regarding a wage claim. I was not paid according to California labor code and was told over the phone I had a good case. I was invited to come in and I signed paper work to begin my claim. I called a few times to check on the status of my case and was told the attorney was gathering the records and they would be in touch. Not once did I meet with an actual attorney, and six weeks later I received a formatted letter that had nothing to do with the merits of my case. Something regarding a Covid claim, what,? Nothing to do with Covid it was an unpaid wages claim. Valid and solid. It is time sensitive and they wasted 6 weeks, six weeks less of back pay now if I am able to follow through with another law firm or pursue it on my own. I drove to there office spent an entire day with their invitation and statement that I would recover wages based on the merits of my claim. Zero effort, lazy giant machine of a law firm that doesn't care about the actual person. Stay far far away, they will lose money and waste your time. Even the legal aide are clueless and couldn't answer a single question. I have more knowledge than the attorney, I would like to file a civil case perhaps waste their time having to drive to the court house to defend themselves. Let's see what evidence they present that they did any investigation whatsoever. Lawyers earn bad reputations for a reason, they don't care about the person just easy money. I've been reading some of these reviews, and I am getting nervous! I've had a case with this firm since 2011, behind an on the job accident. They and the prior companies insurance that is investigating my claim, have sent me to all kinds of doctors, sleep therapist, chiropractors, psychiatrist, etc. I have had at least 5 attorneys with this company and I have received sporadic letters from them and most of the time I contact them on the progress of my claim, they rarely contact me by phone. After some of these negative reviews, I have started questioning my sanity and my intelligence. Have I been played by these guys? I've been with these guys for 11 years, I will give it to the end of the year before I really confront them. I would give this law firm no stars if I could. The reason is because the intake/receptionist has no professionalism. I spoke to her giving my information and trying to explain why my wrongful termination was based on discrimination. I never received my Disabled Veteran Leave (5 CFR 630.1306(2)) which I constantly asked for including my hospitalization while working for the Department of Veterans Affairs. All this person kept saying while talking over me was I understand but why was it discrimination?! I had two cases with them, once went well, insurance paid almost immediately. Now the civil case was going well until the end, I settled at $30k I'm only seeing $3400 of it. Due to "court fees" , fine whatever. After the case settled they don't care, I was told check being mailed out on a Wednesday, get called on a Friday being told the check is being mailed out that day. I asked to have it overnighted and they refused. I mean how can you refuse to overnight me a 330 dollar check when they kept 20k plus from the case? Ridiculous firm. Really bad experience with this office. My dad had a accident at his job. The attorney we have for the workers comp recommended for us to go with them for a third party case. I live in Lancaster went to this office supposedly because they new about the case But my surprise they didn't know anything about it. I had a appointment with Jennifer when I got there she was with another client when they told me I was going to see her and that's why I was making the appointment because she had all the information. We saw another lady who didn't even had a clue what was going on...Pretty much I drove 2 hours back and forth for nothing plus the hour I was in the office so I waist 3 hours of my time!!! Gave them a second chance because they said they wanted to review the case blah blah blah.
