This is because, we now know, the doctors are all paid more if they have 100% compliance for vaccinations for all their patients. Recently at a congressional hearing we found out that pediatricians are being paid by the HMO insurance companies for vaccinating kids. Payment is $200-$600 per child. Many pediatricians making $1 million a year just for vaccinating kids. Practices must keep a certain percentage of patients at 100% vaccination rate to qualify for the payments. Pediatricians stop seeing kids as patients whose parents refuse vaccinations. This is not about health. It's about doctors and insurance companies making millions and billions per year each. It was crushing. My child's former pediatrician who assisted with the getting the exemption due to what he termed 'adverse reaction' and the exemption was granted, retired and moved out of state. He even called them but they would not honor his calling to talk to the new prospective doctor. They are monsters there.

I like that Dr. Shilpa is relatable (she seems to be around our age with a young kiddo as well) and she takes time to answer all of my questions (I come almost every time with a list of questions on my phone). She is patient in sharing her expertise and has a kind way of interacting with my child. Now after the birth of our second baby, Dr. Shilpa sees both kiddos. I like that the exchange is very accessible and easy to use. We've called many times during off hours to reach a nurse from Children's hospital. They'll either answer our questions immediately or they'll contact the on call pediatrician and then call us back. It's pretty straightforward to schedule a sick visit the same day, though if you call right at 8:30 when their phone lines open, you might have to wait on hold for a few minutes. The nurses and other staff are usually very pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend Southwest Pediatrics and especially Dr. Shilpa to anyone looking for a pediatrician in south city!

First off, he was given three different types of narcotics before having to get an IV! The nurse gave laughing gas prior & kept the mask pushed to his face the entire time! I asked how much was being given all she could reply was "a LoW dOsAgE" move to the IV & the dummy couldn't even puncture his vein! Which she kept moving the needle around in his arm. Then proceeds to say " well it's numb" like B*#!€ you don't have a clue what your doing! Once it was finally in, she left the tube opened which caused blood to shoot out EVERYWHERE! He was still overly sedated which caused him to freak out (as you can hear in the video!) then the same dummy comments "it's a lot of blood because we got a good vein" like are you stupid! Good vein or not, the damn flow way should've been closed, and I believe they did it intentionally! This isn't the 50's where you crackers ran test on us like some lab rats, because that's exactly what the experience felt like! We discovered he had two beads once the first one was removed. Emt was nice, but not too trained as well. Once the second bead was out my son ear started bleeding profusely!! Not one of those nurse in that room gave a damn! My son became very sick coming off the anesthesia because he was given far too much!! Follow up nurse brought in sugary Gatorade to have him drink when it should've been water what I gave him! The lack of care and dignity within this establishment is sickening!! However, I will be taking it further to ensure no one else family have to go through the traumatic experience like we did! My other children who had to witness all of this- one nurse promised them popsicles for being brave siblings. Guess what they received? Y'all are a bunch of Trump supporters with evil hidden agendas, and I will be contacting the board. This the hospital that takes folks that can't get into any other healthcare facilities because they aren't qualified.

Unfortunate because I don't ever want her to be sick or in pain. But if she had to be in a hospital, I'm so happy it was Children's Hospital. There is a parking garage attached to the hospital with PLENTY of parking. They waive the parking fees for parents and grandparents. When arriving for the first visit, I was issued a badge on a lanyard. This badge had my picture on it as well as my granddaughter's room number. The badge doubled as a pass to get in and out of the parking garage. It was also used to get past doors on the patient floor. After every discharge, I returned the badge or, in cases when I was not present when my granddaughter was discharged, my badge was deactivated. Meaning it would no longer work as a parking pass or to open doors inside the hospital. I LOVE the security!! The people working the desk and issuing these badges were all so very friendly and helpful. There were times when I'm sure I was not as friendly as I should have been because I was so stressed, but they were always friendly and helpful. THANK YOU!!!!! The doctors, nurses, and sitters were all AMAZING! My granddaughter is less than a year old, yet they were able to keep her as comfortable as possible at all times. And the last time she was in, what they were able to accomplish in less than a week is nothing short of a MIRACLE.

This Doctor is a joke to medical professionals everywhere. To start, if you give him a bad review,…read morehe is quick to reply in a super snarky and inappropriate manner, telling you why your review is wrong in his eyes. I "liked" a comment someone had left reviewing him on Facebook at the beginning of seeing him, and at my next appointment, he called me into his office, showed me where I had liked a bad rating someone else had left, and asked me to "unlike" it. Who does that? He never keeps appointment times and feels it's appropriate to call you for your 1 pm telehealth appointment at 7 pm at night hoping you won't answer so he can mark you down as a "no show." I've also never had a doctor charge a $10 "convenience fee" when you call in to have your medications refilled. When I finally found a GYN to diagnose me after years of being miserable and getting me the surgery I needed that ended up saving my life, Dr. Hong got mad at me and accused me of "going to other doctors and having surgeries behind his back." Did I mention he's the one who recommended to the GYN who got me help in the first place? I had endometriosis so severely it was taking over my body, causing all of my issues. Don't even bother getting the office to fax any type of medical records anywhere in a timely manner, if even at all. They also love to tell you they "never got the fax" when I have other specialists send him records. I finally had to start bringing in hard copies of my records for him to even acknowledge they existed. He has ZERO bedside manner and no regard for his patients feelings at all. If you tell him you don't want to take the high dosages of pills he loves prescribing you for everything, and you are taking a smaller dosage instead, he accuses you of being a drug abuser. In my over 5 years of abuse from him, I was never actually examined in an actual examination room. All appointments were held in his personal office, where he barely used a stethoscope to examine you! It was always "what do you want now" instead of what can we try next. I stayed with him for so long because some days, he would be helpful, and I would just brush off his bad attitude on a bad day. When he couldn't diagnose me himself...I became a patient not worth his time. He wasn't even going to tell me he kicked me out of his office. I called to check on medications, and his wife answered the phone with, "Dr. Hong wants you to find a new doctor, have a nice day!" *click* No explanation. No warning. Just putting a chronically ill patient on my own.
