Buyer beware buyer beware Do not trade in anything or buy anything at this shit hole of a dealership nothing but scams and hidden fees. Took in my 2017 Polaris RMK Pro 800 for a trade-in and they said they need to do a compression test nothing but false information. On a brand new machine I was looking at they want to charge us as the buyers to pay the freight cost and building cost of the new machines. You cannot fix stupid. read more

After diagnosing my side by side with throttle position sensor fault, the manager told me it was fixed. After driving 4.5 hours to pick it up, I was told they have to take it somewhere else to be programmed for the part they installed. Three weeks later, I was told it was ready again. They offered to ship it to me...however after a week with no phone calls returned I drove 8 hours to pick it up myself. It now smokes very bad, and has no power. It won't rev more than about 1800 RPM. Clayton is a shining example of how disrespectful and dishonest the entire group at Young powesports of Ogden is to all of their customers. After taking my new side by side in for it's first check up, they told me that the motor needed to have the engine valves tightened which would cost me $850. I said no to that but did tell them that my brand new side by side's brakes weren't working very well. they said they need to bleed the brakes and adjust but it would cost me $185. I questioned it but then told them to do it. A week went by and i didn't hear from them so I called to get the status, they told me it would be ready the next day at 1PM. I got there at one and they hadn't even started the work. so, I told them to give it back to me and I would take it to someone that cares. RUN from them! DO NOT USE this company! Getting a stator and chain on my busa and the parts took a week to get, and then they got the wrong chain. I was told it would be done today after waiting for 10 days, but now told me it will be another 2 days to put it back together if I forget about the chain and do it myself. A chain replacement takes 5 minutes, that's no problem. But why am I waiting 2 days to put the stator back together? The nice days are limited, and they don't seem to care. I just got the bike and want to ride it. They kept telling me another day, oh, parts came from the east cost, but will have them Wednesday and have it done by Thursday. Now I only got a stator replaced, and it took 2 weeks if they actually get it done by Saturday. 1600 for a stator and chain. Stator is a 3 hr job and would be around 600. The chain costs about 200 and takes 5 minutes. Why are they wanting double the costs? This is ridiculous. I love young powersports, but the Ogden service department is in need of an overhaul. Update on this review. The stator they recommended and installed happened to be the root of my problems. Its an aftermarket and it worked for a little bit, then I had more troubles and spent thousands on diagnostic and parts. I replaced the battery, the rectifier, kill switch, now another switch, and will need to get a new stator and battery again because aftermarket stator wad the whole problem. This store is terrible. I am working with the store in Pleasant View, and they have been amazing. Avoid Ogden store at all costs. This is a horrible place and they will drain your money and not care one bit. read more

YPS - BMW Motorrad, Ducati and Triumph on Riverdale Road. If I could give them a negative score I would. I booked an appointment for an oil change and they kept the bike 6 days. Some story about my MC being an older model (1996 R1100RT) that there was a national shortage of oil filters and they had to drive down to EuroSports Sandy to pick one up because they had 10 on hand. They said if I had a newer model it would be no problem because they keep those filters on hand. Had they called and told me this information I would have been more understanding, but nobody called. I had to call them to find out. Then they didn't secure a panel on my MC and it fell off on HWY89. Thankfully I was able to back track my steps and find the panel. The service manager (David) said they don't have any way to know parts are on back order so I ask him if he worked with the parts department to find out the status of these thing and he said that we can't see each other's systems. Clearly there is no communication between these departments. They didn't even discount me for the inconvenience; I paid $260.00 for an oil change. Overall: I'm very discouraged and disappointed with YPS and I recommend you stay away from them. I'm taking my MC back to Euro Sports in Sandy where I know I'll get taken care of regardless of the age of my MC. read more

Do not do business with the Ogden location!! I bought a new ATV in late June. I ordered a couple of accessories that weren't in stock, so the salesman said he would call me in a few days to give me status. I didn't hear from anyone for 4 weeks, so called the salesman and left a voicemail... no call back. Left another voicemail, still nothing. Finally decided to text him and he responded. The ATV was magically ready for delivery. Set up a delivery for the next day at about 11 or 12. At 3 pm on delivery day- yup, 3 to 4 hours after the scheduled delivery - I hadn't heard anything. Texted him and he said he would check on what happened. He texted me back that my delivery was usurped by a more senior person without his knowledge! Of course, no notification to me, so I just got to wait. Finally got delivery and the brand new ATV had runs and scratches all over it. I'm using it as a work vehicle, so not wildly important, but when you buy something new, it probably ought to look new!! Sound like a business you want to do business with?? read more

I just wanted to update this Review! I took my Kawasaki to a mechanic who pulled off the right side cover and showed me first hand the nut that had not been in placed tight. This is a Major safety issue. If this spinning fly will would have popped off while I was riding the bike, I could've lost my leg. They supposedly had this cover off as they're missing one bolt. And, one bowl was on the skid plate. They told me the belt was in good shape. Also the girl at the front desk of the service department told me to just get some ATV 1040 oil to put in the rear main. I asked her what weight? Any special brand name? She errantly told me no special brand name just 1040TV oil. My Mechanic told me that it takes. Kawasaki Brake and gear oil. The viscosity on the 1040 oil and the mechanic recommendation of brake and gear oil are way different. Again, I would never take another piece of equipment to the dealership for repair there are other minor issues but these two major issues are totally out of line for a professional dealership charging the prices that they want to charge. read more

Watch out for the up-charges. After several of my calls were not returned they said that they would hold the bike for $500 deposit. Found out that Utah law doesn't allow for this without a written quote. Fortunately they didn't run this after they texted me a quote and deal fell through when I didn't want to pay for the "battery warranty". All told the out the door price was 68% over MSRP for a Honda Minimoto. read more

Service personnel were nice. I was passing though town and they mounted and balanced 2 tires on my ducati. I just got home hand washed my Ducati multistrada and found the black real wheel gouged from lack of care. There are plastic covers to protect from this kind of damage. Then i just found one of the Allen pinch bolts for the front axle broken off. And they let us ride this bike without a word said. I know someone that bought a bike lucky they bought a warranty and within two weeks it was in the shopits been over 1 month and they said the needed to get a tool for a motothey sell and work on. If this company had any skills they would own all equipment to work on the product they sell . Every time they called for an update they got the run around would not give an answer even when ask 1 person said it was up on the rack being looked called next day talked to another person they said it hadn't even been looked at. Why would you lie about that when you should be a reputable business. I will never do business with a company that is. Disorganized and dishonest with their customers. I'm a strong believer that if you make a mistake and say you will fix it you deserve a chance at redemtion. I bought a 2021 CF MOTO 600 Touring from these guys on March 24, 2021 "Birthday Treat", the sales guy was friendly and eager to get me all set up. The sale transaction went smooth however, i had street legal my quad and paid these guys and extra $100+ to get my regisration completed for a license plate as required by law. Remember i bought this in March and at that time i was given a temp tag. the 1st temp tag expired on May 8th. May 9th i called YP they stated they have not received the plate due to DMV delays... ok i get it we in a pandemic so they gave me another temp tag that expires mid to end of July. After 2nd tag expired i called again... guess what they still didn't have my plate, now they say it was a Corporate mishab and this coming straight from the mouth of "The Sales Manager". Now kindly enought he wanted to make things right and offered my 1st service at no cost "IF" I would give them a good review online. I appreciated the jesture however, i adivsed the sales manager that i wasn't looking for a freebie just wanted my plate but it was nice he offered. The sales manager said stop by i have to give you another temp tag but promise they will have the plate by the time this one (3rd temp tag) would expired. My brother who live in Layton went to pick it up.... they made him wait over 30 minutes to hand him the F%@#NG temp tag. My brother said there was barely 2 customers in the store an at least 6 employees but no one made and effort to help him so STRIKE on them on customer service,!!! Here we are Sept 9, 2021... Six(6) months since i bought the CFMOTO and guess what the 3rd temp tag is expired and they still don't have my plate. They had the tire I needed. I brought the old one in on the rim. They changed it the same day for $45. Other places will mount for free if you buy from them. The tire was deflated when I got it. I didn't find out until I started trying to drive and it was super stiff. I didn't feel in danger. I didn't go fast or anything. I immediately felt something was up. I eventually figured out the tire pressure may be low by googling. Checked it, pumped it up and was Gucci. Overall nice fast service. I would have pumped the tire up though or at least told me. I have a compressor at home so for me it wasn't a big deal, but I know what it's like not having one and stressing. Overall I'll probably keep going to my other store. It's closer and they mount for free. If I need a fast tire change though I'd probably go here. Every other place is horrible on tire wait times. read more

The service department is a JOKE!!! I had to bring my 4 wheeler back and fight with them to fix the fuel pump they had just installed that was puking gas every time I filled up. They caused more damage to my 4 wheeler than they repaired, would not back up their work, took weeks with no progress, and blamed it on the fact that they had originally installed a chinese fuel pump from Amazon, and the delays were because their mechanics work off "piece rate" and nobody wants to work on my machine... the machine they failed to fix after being paid over $500. Now I have to buy a new fuel pump for several hundred dollars and install it myself. Thoroughly disgusted with supposedly "reputable" dealership. Don't do business with them, please don't support them they are monopolizing all the ATV shops and it's not good because they are a horrible business. read more

I took my Goldwing into the shop to have an air filer replaced, multi-point safety check, and coolant flush. If you know about the Goldwing, you must remove a lot of the front pieces and parts to get to the filter. First, the staff was friendly and due to the current Covid-19 the bike would have to stay over a week or so. When I picked the bike up I noticed the radio did not pick up any stations. When I removed the seat to check on the antenna connection I noticed 2 things, 1- the seat was left unplugged (heated seat) and 2- the seat bolts had been cross threaded. Tyler was very good at getting by back quickly into the shop. After a quick check, they re-connected the radio antenna and re-threaded the seat attachment points. Today I noticed the fog lights didn't work. I found another connection on the wiring harness had been left disconnected underneath the left pocket. I have no problem with the staff even though I asked to have the service manager give me a call after the first problems but never did receive one. I understand it is a really busy time. My 3 start rating is for the lack of attention to detail when reassembling the many parts and wiring connections. My concern - what else is not right? Will I find out at 70mph on the freeway or ?????? Would I go back - maybe / probably. read more

So, a week ago I call Newgate Motorsports and say I need to get a state inspection done, and asked if I needed an appointment. They said no, that I can just bring it in. So I took my bike in to get the inspection done and, Matt, the service manager, said he couldn't pass it because the back brake pads were almost metal to metal. I asked if he could replace those, and he said yes, but not that day. I asked if I could make an appointment, he said "Well as far as appointments goes you're looking at about three weeks out, but if you'll bring it in first thing Monday morning I'll try and squeeze you in, and have it done in a couple of days." Then he suggested that I go up to the parts department and purchase the brake pads just to make sure that they would be there when they needed them to install. So I went up to the parts department and got the brake pads and paid for them. Then bright and early Monday morning I showed up with my bike and explained to Cody what Matt had said on Friday. After a few days, I began to wonder if the bike was going to be much longer. So I tried to call, no answer, answering machine. I figured they were busy so I decided to wait one more day. I called again the next day and got the answering machine again, so I left a message. Today, Friday, I called again and finally got someone, Cody. I asked about the status of my bike, and he went to check. He came back and said they hadn't started on it yet, and that it would be at least next Wednesday before it was done. So much for a couple of days. I asked if I could just come and pick up the bike. He said yes, so I went down to pick the bike up figuring I would get someone else to replace the brake pads and take it somewhere else for the inspection. When I got there there was a line at the service department, so I waited and finally Cody helped me. I explained that I just wanted to pick up the bike and get the brake pads that I purchased. Cody disappeared into the back for more than five minutes. When he finally returned he punched some numbers into the computer and said that I owed them $41.55. When I asked what for, he said "for the brake pads". Receipt in hand, I said I've already paid for them. He took the receipt and disappeared into the back for another 10 minutes. By this time Matt came out and asked if I had been helped, I said yes but I didn't know what was going on. There was some mixup between the parts department and the service department. They finally got it straightened out, and I was on my way. Now, I understand being busy but please don't tell your customers it's going to be a few days, when you know good and well it's going to be a few weeks. I wish I could give more than one start here, because Matt was very friendly. However they didn't deliver on what they promised. I don't think I will be back. read more

I would not do business with this company. I took an ATV in to be serviced. They double charged my credit card. I now can't get them to refund me. I've been in the store twice and they say they're working on it. They now won't return calls and haven't refunded me. It's been almost 6 weeks and they can't figure out how to put the overcharge back on my credit card. I will never take another machine there for service. read more

I purchased a 2020 honda pioneer 1000 5 in june from Young power sports in Ogden salesman Dale was friendly and helpful, finance department Heather was sharp and quick, after I left the dealership my view completely changed four months later I finally got my title and paperwork October 6 along with a 100$ late fee on my sales tax and regiatration....I will not recommend this dealer to anyone and suggest everyone deal with Spike motorsports in Tremonton. I went in today to get a spare key for my ninja 500r. The moment I walked in the door a salesman was trying to show me new toys to buy. When I got to the counter the gentleman behind the counter scoffed at my key and rudely stated "we don't make kawasaki keys here". I was perusing the KSL classified when I stumbled upon an ad for a 2012 Goldwing. I called to confirm the details Including the unbelievably low price. I went to the store to check it out and met Stephanie who was incredibly helpful. She answered all my questions and willingly agreed to let me take the bike out for a test drive. Everything checked out perfectly. There was no sales pressure. I put down a deposit got my financing worked out and picked it up two days later. They tell me they have a tech that has worked on Goldwings for thirty years so I took my 2003 Goldwing into their shop for service. I'll post an update about my experience. read more

My experience with Newgate has been one no one should have happen. I bought a brand new Atv from them and as I was riding found a issue with the gas heating up and boiling. It is very unsafe to drive and they know the issues is there. First time calling they were getting a new fuel cap. Which they never did. Called again and manager said they know about the issue and would contact me back when the part comes in to fix it. We have called a few times and no resolution and still to this day no call back which this was more then 2 months ago. I would not do business with this company ever again. They don't give a damn about my or my families safety with their machines. They sound nice but have no follow through. Plan on buying other bikes but will never buy from them again. I do not suggest buying from this company ever for your safety of you and others. read more

The person that made out the check called and stated that they would call me back in 10 minutes after they get a hold of corporate. They didn't call till the next day. We are super impressed with each department, it's rare to find a dealership that has such quality people throughout, the parks department is always on top of it and willing to go the extra mile. The service department always works hard to get it done quick and they've always been fair on pricing. And each time we come in to buy a machine the sales process has been super smooth. On 04/06/17 I went to Newgate to purchase a motorcycle I had called about and advised they had it in stock, in the color and model year I wanted. When I went inside all I could find was the 2016 model. I asked about the 2017 model and was advised it was in stock but not built. I asked to be able to see the color of the 2017 bike and was told no. I asked how soon the 2017 would be built. I was told " probably after we sell the 2016". Well I learned my lesson.....if you call before hand and ask about inventory I suppose you should ask if you can see the color and buy the product. Total waste of time. bought a motorcycle from them they told me that the company went out of busy in USA but that their dealership would service my bike if needed I contacted them last week and was told that they would not service it, said parts were not available to them and didn't have the manuals. I'd never been in the store before. I went looking for pads for a used jacket I bought. they didd not have pads but I had a great experience visiting the store. They had tons of used bikes out front to drool over. As soon as I went through the door someone was asking if they could help me. Upstairs they had tons of helmets, jackets and other goodies. Again once upstairs I had two different people ask me if they could help me. I'd certainly go back again. A lot of places ignore you but not these folks. read more

So, brought the gold wing in to get the front tire changed. Had to call them twice to find out when it would be done. They said they would call me but apparently forgot. It turns out had to get the back tire changed as well 2 weeks later (nail) and took it back to give them another chance. Big mistake on my part. Had to call them twice again to find out when the bike would be done and on the 2nd call said it would be done the same day. Had to get a safety inspection for registration in Utah. Asked them to do it when we dropped the bike off (they didn't) so asked them to do it when we got there to pick up the bike, then front fork seals were leaking and they had to be replaced. If they had done the safety inspection before we got there like they were supposed to it would have saved us a trip. So, left the bike there to get seals fixed and had to wait another 1.5 weeks to get it back. After all that they comped us a safety inspection ($7). We dropped almost $1K and got a free inspection! Whoop! Not recommended. read more
