I just wanted to update this Review! I took my Kawasaki to a mechanic who pulled off the right side cover and showed me first hand the nut that had not been in placed tight. This is a Major safety issue. If this spinning fly will would have popped off while I was riding the bike, I could've lost my leg. They supposedly had this cover off as they're missing one bolt. And, one bowl was on the skid plate. They told me the belt was in good shape. Also the girl at the front desk of the service department told me to just get some ATV 1040 oil to put in the rear main. I asked her what weight? Any special brand name? She errantly told me no special brand name just 1040TV oil. My Mechanic told me that it takes. Kawasaki Brake and gear oil. The viscosity on the 1040 oil and the mechanic recommendation of brake and gear oil are way different. Again, I would never take another piece of equipment to the dealership for repair there are other minor issues but these two major issues are totally out of line for a professional dealership charging the prices that they want to charge.

This is showing extended bolt threads coming out bottom of front axle clamp as designed from factory.

Service personnel were nice. I was passing though town and they mounted and balanced 2 tires on my ducati. I just got home hand washed my Ducati multistrada and found the black real wheel gouged from lack of care. There are plastic covers to protect from this kind of damage. Then i just found one of the Allen pinch bolts for the front axle broken off. And they let us ride this bike without a word said. Sorry guys, you might try working on things where safety isn't a HUGH factor. VERY disappointing as an enthusiast of our sport. Rick

After shopping several Honda dealerships we found that Newgate had the best pricing, the sales staff were respectful and did not pressure for the sales.

I told them about the chip, I told them about the missing air filter; no surprises. But I still drove an hour and a half out there, wasting my entire afternoon, only for them to keep me waiting another two hours while they 'inspected' the bike. The salesperson was just weird, awkward, unprofessional, and clearly had no clue what he was talking about. After all that time, they suddenly flipped and said I'd have to pay $1,000 extra for an air filter and air box that cost like eighty bucks total; parts that take literally ten minutes to replace. What a joke. Then they told me my bike looked 'rough,' which is insane considering I sent them detailed photos beforehand. So what, they couldn't tell until I drove all the way out there? Really? And if that wasn't enough, after they messed around with it, the bike wouldn't start right; it took around 20 kicks more, when normally it starts in one or two. I could literally hear. them redlining my bike for a long time, inside of the shop. It felt like they didn't even know how to handle it properly. But here's the worst part: the salesperson should've known right away that their dumb pricing system claimed my bike was worth less than the KX85. That's basic. That should've been the first thing they checked before confidently saying the trade would happen. Instead, they wasted my time, gas, and energy just to hit me with a bait-and-switch. Completely unprofessional, totally disrespectful of people's time, and a garbage way to run a business. I will never set foot in that place again

I was upfront about everything and never tried to hide my intentions. I even planned to come back the next day to finish the paperwork once financing was squared away. But as soon as I said I wouldn't be signing that night without the confirmed rate, the tone shifted. I was pressured in front of the entire team, questioned on whether I had talked to other dealers, and even had a sarcastic offer of a $500 check if the rate wasn't what they insisted it would be--right in front of everyone. It stopped feeling like a professional transaction and started feeling like an ego contest. After I left, I received multiple texts that became increasingly guilt-trippy and unprofessional--accusing me of backing out, being dishonest, and placing blame over a "40-cent monthly difference." The reality is, I walked because of how I was treated, not the rate or the money. Everyone has the right to pause and confirm financing on a major purchase. If a dealership can't respect that, it says everything. I ended up finding a better experience elsewhere--no pressure, no theatrics, just transparency and respect.

I reached out about a GSX‑8R listed on Marketplace and was instructed by the listing to contact…read moreBlake directly for pricing and financing. From the very beginning, I asked clear, reasonable questions and stated multiple times that I wanted everything in writing before a phone call. Instead of answers, my messages were repeatedly read and reacted to, but completely ignored for days at a time. The only thing I received were pictures -- not a single one of my actual questions was answered. I followed up multiple times because I was genuinely interested and had funds ready to buy a new bike. Each time, I could see my messages were read, sometimes "hearted," yet no response came. That is not a communication issue -- that is choosing not to respond. Eventually, Blake explained that he was on vacation in Mexico and claimed he passed my information to his sales manager, Broc, to handle the sale. Despite that, I still was not contacted for days. No text, no voicemail, no email. I was called once while I was at work, but no voicemail was left, so I couldn't even confirm who the call was from. Communication still did not improve. The only reason Broc eventually reached out at all was because I contacted a different YoungPowersports location myself. Only then did anyone seem to realize I was a serious buyer. That shows a complete lack of internal follow‑through and accountability. What makes this even more frustrating is that I am younger than both Blake and Broc, yet I communicated more professionally than either of them. I was respectful, clear, patient, and persistent -- and still ignored. I literally just wanted to buy a new bike. I had the money ready. This should have been an easy sale. Blake eventually apologized and admitted the service was poor, but an apology doesn't undo days of being ignored, wasted time, or a lost sale. If this is how YoungPowersports treats someone actively trying to give them money, I would be very concerned about how they handle customers after the sale. This experience shows poor communication, poor management oversight, and a lack of professionalism from both Blake and Broc. Serious buyers should be aware that even with money in hand, you may be ignored, reacted to instead of answered, and left to chase down basic information yourself.
