Actually we are making her the GP for the entire family. I had previously gone to the NRV Clinic and will never go there again. Dr Call had bloodwork done and now I need to see specialists because the clinic was supposed to monitor my bloodwork because of the medication I'm on and they never did. Dr found out what was wrong and explained it to me in simple everyday language. The staff there are very friendly, professional and take the time to talk to you and me you feel like you are the most important person there.

My dissatisfaction stems from the fact that during my check-up I was asked if I had any concerns, at which point I mentioned some mild issues I had been having and the doctor simply confirmed that the steps I had already been taking or was planning to take were appropriate. I was then surprised to find that this interaction led to me being charged an extra $153 because speaking about an issue reclassified my visit from a check-up (covered by my insurance) to a level 3 office visit (not covered by my insurance). In my opinion, a doctor should not ask a question which if answered will incur an extra cost without warning the patient. When I brought this up to the staff, I was told most people have better insurance than I do and that is why they do not warn patients that answering the question could incur unexpected costs, which I did not feel was a satisfactory answer.

I can say the injury was not only the source of intense pain for me but also taught me to be patient as well as serving up a healthy dose of humility! The therapists that worked with me provided not only the health and physical support I needed but also counselled/advised me with long term exercises that will assist me for the years to come. I regained 80% of mobility and most of my strength back in my dominant shoulder/arm when the initial assessment was hopeful for a 50% return in mobility. I will forever be grateful for the therapists who helped me recover and am now able to lead a life with very few limitations! My experience with Ortho Virginia was very positive.

After not hearing from them in a week I called and asked the status of my injection. I was told Humana had not authorized the shot. Boldly I asked them the reference number on the order and called up Humana to see why the shot had not been approved. I talked to a Humana pharmacist and was told they do not require prior authorization for my injection. I called Ortho back and the surgical med nurse told me share would check to see if it was there. Then called me back. Waited all day. Abby never called me back. Before closing called back, Destiny patched me to Abby. Abby said she never called me back b/c she couldn't find out if the injection was actually there. This time she promised me she'd call me back. It's been 11 days since my initial appointment. My knee, guess, still hurts, and I can't even find out if my injection has been ordered. I asked them once why they couldn't keep the injections in stock. Durolane. I was told it was an expensive injection and the shelf life was very short . I looked that up and found out the shelf life is 2 years. Don't tell me they have 6 doctors who see up to 50 patients a day, and they can't find another patient to give a Durolane injection to. Within a 2 year period. You call over there and an A I Bot takes over. I've been put on hold for over 30 minutes 3 times. Bottom line it's going on almost two weeks and they can't tell me anything. I was patched through to the fourth person once, and still didnt get answers. If you talked to for example Lori, and then request Lori again, you get put on hold and then you will wait 30 minutes, if you then opt to leave Lori a message, you get an answering machine saying that your return call would come in 24 to 48 hours. So already you are pushed out another 1 or 2 days. I completely see why they receive an average of 2 stars but I can't go that high. My experience has been one star.

When your out of town and your kid is sick you get desperate. After looking at urgent cares and…read morefinding none I looked at local pediatric offices not expecting an appointment late in the day. I was thrilled to locate one to my hotel and an office reviewed so highly. I called the office and spoke to the receptionist who was extremely professional and caring to my out of town situation. Although short handed with the doctors nurse practitioner off they squeezed my son in within 15 minutes. Upon arrival our insurance was accepted and forms completed. The office staff was exceptional and wonderfully efficient and had us inside with the nurse in 10 minutes. The nurse swabbed for influenza which was suspected. Doctor Barry came in within 10 minutes and had a warm bedside manner. He took his time with my 13 year old son and treated him like his own patient. A complete exam was administered as he waited on the results. He discussed with my son why he was in town, which was a swim meet. The results came up over his iPad and were positive for influenza A. A prescription was written for Tamiflu since he only became symptomatic today. He discussed the medicine and the typical time of recovery. He also discussed his weekend swimming schedule limitations. Dr. Barry also prescribed me Tamiflu as preventive since we are in closed quarters at the hotel. I cannot recommend Dr. Barry enough. If he treats an out of towner this well can you imagine being his patient. A big 5 STARS and thank you!
