a bowl of soup and a plate of dumplings
    Anna S.

I'm glad that there is an authentic Chinese food place in Moscow, ID. The food is definitely authentic, home-style cooking: the noodles are made from scratch and the dumplings/steamed buns folded in a very similar way to how I've made them growing up. I'm visiting the Moscow, ID area coming from cities/suburbs with a large Chinese-American diaspora - something that Moscow does not have. So overall, if you want to try Chinese food, this is not a bad place to do so. That said, this food is very average and no where near the best Chinese places you'd get. I found the soup noodles very under-seasoned and bland - Chinese food is usually packed with flavor and this broth really lacked the type of flavor I'd expect. There was also no chili oil provided (only hot sauce you'd get at hte grocery store) so I couldn't really add that much heat to a bland sauce. Even outside of spiceness, I found I needed to add some soy sauce (which I normally don't do) to have a bit of flavor/seasoning. I ordered the seafood noodles and the seafood itself was great and plentiful. I do like that they don't skimp on the meat. If I came back again, I would not order any of the noodle dishes. The place serves everything in take out containers FYI. Overall, it's nice to have a Chinese place in the area but the food is only average.

We absolutely love quality Asian food - this place knocks it out of the park and our family agreed that this was hands down the best noodle dish we've ever had (and we've had more than we'd ever confess to our cardiologist). The owner was hand pulling the noodle behind the counter, made incredible fresh potstickers, and the time to wait was minimal (we were expecting longer than the 7 or so minutes our order took based on reviews). Don't walk - RUN, to this hidden gem. Your tummy will thank you!

Everything is excellent. The food was less spicy the next day and made delicious leftovers. Super yummy!

I would have never guessed you could find authentic mainland Chinese food in Moscow, ID. They literally make their noodles from scratch when you order the dish! Incredible! That's why it takes a LONG time to get your food so don't come here expecting the traditional Chinese food speed of 10 min with a stir-fry on the wok. These ladies are serious about their noodles and buns, etc. We ordered the beef noodles, wide-style, and the wonton soup with the extra $4.00 shrimp. So, honest truth, the noodles were a killer! You could just tell the nice chewiness of the noodles were made from scratch. They topped it with stir-fried beef with sliced onions and carrots. The sauce was a little sweet and savory. I would definitely order this again and again. As for the wontons, well, for me, it was disappointing only because I have had traditionally HK style wontons and know how difficult is it to make without the skin ripping to pieces. So when I tried the wonton soup, which was in a small bowl, with tiny pieces of shrimp, I was not surprised that most of the wonton skin fell to the bottom of the bowl. The broth was good though. Overall, I wouldn't get it again but I won't dock them any stars since it's good for most people who may not be familiar with traditional wontons. Without a doubt when I'm in town, I'll be back to try more dishes. I saw the older Yelp pics and wished they still had the salted ducks and stewed pork and rice with the egg.

Incredible. This was the best Asian meal for me since my younger daughter and I were at the Chinese Cultural Center in Phoenix, years ago. They serve Chinese food. Hear me out on that statement. There is no gringo sweet and sour whatever, or any culturally dumbed-down menu items that we all--frankly--have grown up with in this hemisphere. And yet...it was all so beautifully simple. Hand pulled noodle dish w/minced pork; hand made bao; hand made dumplings. Simple, simple, simple. All made even more incredibly baffling by how far inland we were. Seriously, I closed my eyes and could picture myself in the International District in Seattle. That good. Be advised, though. We waited almost 45 mins for what you see in my pics. Your patience will be very rewarded. And dining al fresco on a beautiful day made it all even more....incredible.

Wonderful! surprisingly delicious! If you want fast food this is not the place but if you want real Chinese food made from scratch you've found it. There is great attention to detail and the combination of flavors are perfect. Definitely get a noodle dish, you will be delighted.

The restaurant is nice and quiet which is so important to me because i love to run my mouth when im eating out. I got the vegetarian option, which I was grateful for because most of the times hot pot places aren't too accommodating for non meat eaters. Unfortunately my food was lacking a little in flavor. Could it have been that I got the veggie version and that sometimes flops in the flavor department? Or could it have been that I didn't select a spice level high enough? I'm not sure, but I'm willing to give it a second try's

In my Taiwanese hot pot I got a great variety of meat, fish and vegetables, much more than I expected for a great price. Service was timely, waitress was helpful, and it was a nice interior. My biggest critique is the fact that both hot pots I tried (veggie and taiwan) were not spicy in the slightest, like at all, when we got the maximum spice level. The waitress did tell us this would be the case and its clearly because of the white palates here but I was still disappointed by the fact that the hot pots didn't have the signature sichuan spice of malatangs. The numbing spiciness of chinese/taiwanese hot pot is something that sets apart this cuisine for me so that makes me sad. It satisfies my craving for now but what I really want from spicy hot pot is to see completely neon red broth.

I'm from California, so some things in Washington and Idaho are new to me. Like for instance, our server handing us water bottles instead of cups of water. Turns out I guess Moscow is known for having issues with water. Our miso soup had no additives. No tofu, or seaweed. Just broth. Our sushi chef also forgot one of my rolls, and forgot to give my aunt her yakisoba, so we had to ask for them. There was only one other table of 2 seated while we were dining, so I can't even blame a busy dining room as the reason why the staff was flustered. On the plus side, our server did bring my baby cousin a tiny serving of miso soup, so my aunt didn't "have" to share hers, and brought a spoon for the baby, so that was a nice touch. All in all, this tourist definitely will not be eating here again.

Great service. I'd come again for sure.
