Took my cars here for years - was satisfactory until the two gentlemen with people skills who didn't rip you off left (Nick and Colton). Now, it's just a bunch of grumpy old men, talking down to people and seemingly ripping customers off. Brought a car in for a tire issue, said it was a bad valve, replaced it. Still leaked, said it was rust inside the rim and it was resolved. Leaked for over a year after that and just paid $50 for a 5 star reviewed shop to tell me the valve was installed improperly and it was a miracle it held air at all. I've been taking my family's vehicles here since I moved to the area over a year ago. I've always gotten prompt service and fair prices. They back up their work and honor their guarantee. When a coolant leak wouldn't go away on my truck after the first repair, they quickly got it back in and did what was necessary to fix it. Mind you, this was through no fault of theirs, but due to the wrong seal being supplied with the new part by the manufacturer. They've proven to me that customer satisfaction and the safety of their customers is their priority. I'd recommend them to anyone needed any kind of automotive service. read more

Where to begin? First time bringing it in for an oil change they noticed the wheel bearings need to be replaced. So I go ahead and do the left one, but was a little tight on cash and asked if it was alright to wait on the right one. He said it would be ok for a few months but it really needed done. Absolutely without a doubt. And he said it would fix the violent vibrations I've been having in my car. Bring it in later with the sole intention of replacing my right bearing and woah and behold my bearing is fine, its actually my sway bars and ball joints. Apparently the ball joints were falling apart. Which means I need an alignment too. I went with it because i don't know a whole lot about cars. I go and talk with a mechanic friend I have, who replaced my ball joints a little under a year ago. There's no way the joints deteriorated that fast. And the vibration isn't fixed! I go to talk to Ford and my mechanic friend and they basically tell me Youngstedts screwed me over. They had one of their techs drive my car for ten minutes and he is almost positive it's the rotors that are bad. Sooooo I go to talk to Youngstedts again and tell them what Ford found. After some b.s. excuses from him and blaming it on his tech, he offers to replace the rotors for free, under the condition we purchase the parts from NAPA. Basically I get to spend 50 bucks putting subpar parts into my car, only(I'm sure) to inevitably find another "problem" with my car. I found Nicks attitude really condescending and was not happy with the service at all. I'll be going to Ford from now on. read more

This place seems to pick and choose which customers they care about. I brought my car in for new tires for a Saturday morning appointment, like my friend recently did a few weeks back and got great, fast service. His car was finished as we were walking back from lunch. When I came in for my appointment, the two men at the front desk ignored my standing there for about 3 minutes. When finally acknowledged, they confirmed my morning appointment and asked when I would like it finished by. I said the sooner the better, as I was just going to go grab something to eat with my friend who was with me, like his prior appointment, expecting it to be done by the time we were finished eating. We took a stroll after our meal before returning to the business at about 11:30 or so, two and a half hours later after arrival. My car was still in the same spot I had parked it when I arrived that morning. We waited in the lobby for another half hour. As we were waiting a woman with a noon appointment walked in for brake work and tires and a mechanic took her car back right away. Another 20 minutes passed and we walked out so another friend could pick us up because I was tired of sitting in the lobby, waiting. My friend drove me back at 4:30pm and my car was STILL not finished - but it was actually in the shop at this time at least. I wasn't back in my car until 4:55pm, five minutes before the place closed. I don't understand why my 9am appointment was not finished until end of day, despite being promised not only with a morning appointment but also word from the man at the front desk. A 9am appointment and "Sooner the better" does not mean right before the shop closes. Morning appointments just have obvious priority over later appointments... I wrote the manager about my experience, as he was not working at the time, and he ignored me. Never coming here again. read more

Called with a flat 4h before I had to be 3h away, ahhh. They asked for patience and they'd check it out. After about 45m wait, went to the counter to see what the prognosis was, and it was already fixed! I was impressed when my vehicle had been whisked away before I'd even finished registration, but never suspected they'd get it all done with a bustling garage and 3 folks waiting as well. Blown away, my little urgency became theirs too and that was the best part of the worst timing. read more

Super professional friendly and helpful customer service. The reviews below this are way outdated, and Management may not be aware of options to contest and remove unnecessary reviews from people who were having a bad day, extremely impatient, or unaware of the fact that just because someone is in front of a computer doesn't mean they're not busy at work helping other customer (present or not). That said- Juan was a lifesaver and went out of his way to help me resolve an unreasonable request not related to Youngstedts normal business operations. Thanks again Juan! read more

I had my rear brakes and rotors replaced. There was an issue that developed with a squeak/grinding noise about 10 months later. They fixed the problem and volunteered to fix it free as it was under warranty. It was nice to not have to go in and make a case for it being covered under warranty, they did it on their own. They also got me in and out within 1 hour. read more

Went here for an oil change and they lost my oil cap. I went here a couple times and none of the experiences were pleasant. Prepare for them to upsell you everything. read more

I used to take my car to the Youngstedts Chanhassen location but always found it a challenge to get an appointment with them on short notice. At the Waconia location, I have always been able to get my car serviced within a day or so. I like the fact that the Waconia store is right next door to a Caribou Coffee, so I usually walk over there while my car is getting the oil changed. They have always done me right and I will continue to frequent them in the future. read more

I gave one star because I couldn't give zero. I came here a little over a year ago, and my experience was horrible. I only came back yesterday because I needed a quick oil change and a tire leak repaired. I thought... What could go wrong? Boy was this a bad decision. They changed my oil and then worked on my tire. They blew it up and tried to tell me it was my fault. I never ran it low, and they admitted that it didn't look like it was run on low. I told him he owed me a tire, and he raised his voice at me. He snapped, "I'm not buying you a tire.". He then told me prices of the tires they had. I went to Ford and bought a tire. He later showed me a long nail and said it was in my tire. He told me it may have rubbed the sidewall. The nail was about the size of a 12 penny nail, and the sidewall blew out at least six or seven inches from the puncture in the tire. This place is shady, and I will never go back! read more
