Got four tires yesterday during the first big snow of the year. They were able to get me in at noon without an appointment and promised to get it done before they closed at 6. Clearly I wasn't the only one who had the idea to buy new tires because the lot was full! Sure enough, they called me at 5:30 to tell me their work was done. Between waiting for a cab and traffic, I didn't arrive until a few after 6 but they stayed open to make sure everyone could pick up their keys and pay. I called around to a few places for an estimate before I stopped here and these guys beat the others by a few hundred dollars, but they don't seem to skimp on quality or service. I purchased 4 new tires from Samaritan in April, I waited in the store because I didn't have another option. Their service was amazingly quick and I was out of there in no time. The price was what they quoted, there was no pressure filled upsell. Today (August 11) I Went back to the store because I had a persistent slow leak. I found Samaritan Tire through their high ratings on Tire Rack. I bought my winter tires mounted on rims through Tire Rack and had them shipped to Samaritan. Apparently Tire Rack accidentally put studs on a couple of tires, so before I even got to Samaritan, Samaritan called Tire Rack and told them those are illegal in this state. So that helped me skip a trip out there only to find out they were the wrong tires. Since then, I've had Samaritan swap out my tires at the beginning and end of the season. Because they are pre-mounted on rims, it's $25. Not bad. They have a dog that sometimes roams the waiting room saying high to everyone. Very sweet and all the guys that work there are nice. The waiting room isn't super exciting. A TV, some magazines and chairs. Usually takes about an hour. Don't reserve online. Do it by phone. I tried reserving the time online and they emailed back a few days later and said I didn't have an appointment and they weren't free until the weekend. When I called, they got me in that day. Most auto places that have online booking, don't really have online booking, so they could improve on that. Either have a working system or none at all. read more

For several years I have been going to Samaritan. I left a review after the first time I went, impressed with their great service, efficiency and low cost. Well, after all this time they are still great! All I can say is that I wouldn't have made it home to visit my family for Thanksgiving without Samaritan. I brought my car in this year, just before the storm and on the same day they changed my tires. As usual, the whole lot was full and a line inside. I watched a gentleman who worked there helping a lady pick out new tires and politely confirming that she could wait and they would put them on that same day. She was a little pushy, but he was very calm, smiled and said "we will do our absolute best". When I got to the counter I noticed the mountains of work orders for other people. (This is normal since anyone who goes here comes back). The same gentleman calmly and quickly checked me in and said my car would be ready to go by 4pm. Astounding based on the amount of work in front of them! At 3pm I got a call, my car was done 1 hour early. Samaritan really is the absolute best! read more

I've had the tires mentioned in my original review for several years now and am as impressed with Samaritan as the day they did the work. The tires are awesome and I should probably write a review about them somewhere, but this review is about Samaritan. I've only had one additional experience with Samaritan since the original install, which was due to a tire fill issue. My family and I had road tripped to Wyoming and after the drive there I checked my tire pressure and noticed I was a few PSI low all the way around (clearly should have checked BEFORE the drive to WY, but that's beside the point). I knew Samaritan used nitrogen to fill my tires originally but I couldn't find any business in this Wyoming town that could top mine off with nitrogen, so I had to choose: top off with regular air (which a lot of people argue is not materially different than nitrogen anyway) or drive around WY for two weeks and then back to MN with slightly low pressure. Found a service station around the corner, but before I went to have my tires aired up I called Samaritan to ask what it would cost me to have them drained and refilled with nitrogen when I returned to MN. The price he quoted me was actually shocking: FREE! Said just swing by the shop at my convenience and they purge my tires completely and refill with nitrogen. Most shops charge $5-10 per tire for nitrogen fill and given the size of my tires I was expecting up to $15 per tire. Anyway, so that's what I did. Had the local WY service shop top off my tires and then swung by Samaritan a week or so after we got back to MN. They did exactly what they said they'd do for the exact price they said they would do it. Just one more example of a truly customer-oriented business. My strong recommendation for Samaritan continues. Edit: Apologies, as I somehow found this draft saved but unpublished. I just got a set of tires at Samaritan earlier this week, on the recommendation of a long-time Hopkins resident. I sent them an email from their website, and received an answer the following morning. They gave me a few options, complete with pricing. I told them I'd drop by after work, and they said they'd have it done in an hour. They have a good-sized waiting room with plenty of magazines and a flat screen TV. To my surprise, they actually finished the job in about 20 minutes. I was also surprised when I went up to pay, they applied a $40 coupon/discount on the job which I didn't even bring in (nor did they even mention it). It felt good to bring my business to a local family company. They treated me great and did excellent work. My tires are working very well on the snowy roads. Give these guys a shot, you won't be disappointed. read more

I have been using Samaritan Tire for many years now. Recently, I purchase a set of custom wheels for one of my cars and had chosen a rather hard to find tire to pair with them. Not only did they have the tires in stock (which no one else in the five county area did), but I was able to get them done right away. I dropped the car and the wheels (still in their boxes) off Friday night and picked it up on Saturday. They were very careful with the wheels, not a single scratch on them! I had not known it at the time but I needed lug nuts and a set was located without me having to do anything but approve the price! I also was not aware that there were decals for the center caps and the staff at Samaritan did a great job installing them for me. They bagged my old wheels and tires for me to carry home because I intend to sell them. I have another vehicle with both summer and winter tires and wheels. Samaritan stores your off season set for you so you don't have to take up precious garage space with such a large item! I believe the price is very reasonable for the amount of time they must store the tires. At each season change I just make an appointment and show up, they swap out the tires, store the others and I am outta there in a very reasonable amount of time. Last time I was in there, it actually took them less time then the dealer took changing my oil. Love this place and they are always my Go To when it comes to wheels and tires! read more

Freezing cold morning and all 4 of my tires were showing low pressure. I went to the Minnetonka Samaritan as it was on my way to work. I haven't been to this shop before, but went in and asked if they could help me out. Sure enough, the tires all needed about 8 pounds of pressure. They filled them up and sent me safely on my way. I asked how much I owned, and they said nothing, just have a nice day. Well, when your day starts with someone so kind how can you not have a nice day? I will go back there someday when I need new tires because of the way they helped me out and how kind they were. Thank you Samaritan! read more

I will never buy tires anywhere else!! I first found out about Samaritan from a friend who has a problem with blowing out his tires. Every time he has needed them fixed or replaced, Samaritan has helped him at minimal or no cost. When I needed to buy a new set of tires last year before winter I went to Samaritan. Their prices were comparable to what I'd found online but their customer service is unmatched. This spring I had a tire damaged irreparably and found out that I hadn't purchased a road warranty. Instead of charging me the cost of a new tire, the store owner gave me one for the cost of the road warranty, saving me almost $100. Customer service like this is hard to find! It is elating when a business owner realizes that maintaining a high level of customer service is essential when competing with big-box stores. Try finding service like this at discount tires! My wife needed new rear tires this spring and found two used tires in excellent condition. We were charged a total of $50 for both with installation. read more

We were on vacation, van packed and heading out of town. We were about an hour from home when the van let us know that a body shop we used a few weeks before had not tightened down the lug-nuts after putting the front wheels back on our van. The front passenger side had sheared off three wheel studs and there wasn't much left of the two remaining ones that were holding the wheel on. Using the exit in front of us put us close to Samaritan Tire Company. We drove there at about 5 MPH. They were busy, but got us right in. They were very friendly and had a very comfy waiting area. The new wheel studs were uncommon, but were delivered from nearby, and Chris installed them right away. We are very happy with their work. A few weeks later I called and spoke with Chris, the technician that worked on our van about the possible damage that may have been caused by driving on loose lug nuts. I wanted to know what I should look for, such as cracks in the rim, or a problem with wheel bearings. He was very helpful and didn't mind answering all my questions. In the end I learned that he had already inspected anything that could have been damaged. We will definitely be returning to them for my tires and mechanical work they offer. read more

Never a scratch mounting custom wheels, straight advice, and employees that I recognize year after year. No steady stream of high school tire monkeys always being trained. Best flat tire I ever had. I pulled in with a fast leak in my tire. I had stopped at several gas station on my commute home to keep the tire full. The guy behind the counter was great. Quoted me a price in 5 mins. Had the paperwork done in 6 mins. I was out the door thirty minutes later and the price was exactly as quoted. Awesome!!! read more
