Hearty portions, delicious food, and great prices! Cute Marilyn Monroe themed decor and friendly staff. New favorite diner. Must try the fresh fried custom donuts and the frittata!

Went to the Youngstown Grille for the second time during a trip to Latrobe. Had a late breakfast with family which was awesome! I had the corned beef hash which was very tasty and sized just right. My mother-in-law got the pancake which was HUGE (see pic). It's definitely something to be shared. My wife and sister-in-law got the breakfast sandwich which they were very happy with. Also, we all had a fried donut that was made-to-order. Walked out very satisfied, very full, and all for a reasonable price! We'll be back for sure.

I felt I should update a 3 year old review of Youngstown Grille. Of course, like other restaurants, they have had to cut back on their menu due to the COVID-19 restrictions. It's still great food with generous servings, along with friendly service.

We planned to have breakfast at the Ligonier Farmer's market but lo and behold, it was rainy and our go-to breakfast stop wasn't there this week. So based on some great Yelp reviews, we ended up here. The place is really small and we had to wait, but it was worth it. Talk about turning lemons into lemonade, I ended up having one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. They basically put a bacon omelet between a bagel. It was simply superb. Good thing I shared it with my wife because I may not have been able to finish it and I definitely wouldn't have had room for the donuts. Their donuts are made to order, meaning they are fresh and warm when you get them. They aren't your typical donut. My best description is that they taste like a funnel cake in the shape of a ball, cut in half with filling placed in between. We got one with an Oreo inside, one with Nutella, one with a reeses and one with cream cheese. I'm not going to knock them for the donuts because I can see how many people would find them to be delicious. But for me, they were too heavy and greasy and didn't really taste like donuts. To each his own I guess. Next time I'll pass on the donuts and maybe try a cinnamon roll pancake, which looked incredible.

This place is absolutely amazing and the food was delicious. Worth the money and everything was fairly priced in these days and age. I would like to highly recommend this place as you will not be disappointed at all.

This is our new go to place for local breakfast. The five dollar special is a real deal with two eggs, meat, great home fries, and toast. Get the sausage because it's not your every day store-bought type. The pancakes are ridiculously big and look amazing although I am not a pancake eater. My niece got the cinnamon roll pancake and absolutely loved it. You may have to wait for a table because this place is popular and not very big but it is worth it.

We had a meeting at 12pm near here and we live in Pittsburgh so it took an hour to get to this area. When our meeting was done we were hungry so we found this place on yelp. I was still in a coffee and breakfast mode so I looked over their breakfast menu. I saw it said $2.50 for a pancake. I saw other types of pancakes to choose from. We ordered coffee which was really good and I ordered two pancakes and a side of eggs. The waitress asked me if I knew how big their pancakes were and I said no. She said they are big so one would be enough for me. I took her word for it and ordered one. Our food came out about five minutes later and she was right! This pancake was huge. I had no idea. It was bigger than the plate it was on. I cut into it and started eating it. Not only was it huge but it taste really good. One of the best pancakes I've ever had. Since it was so big I really didn't think it would be this good and I was wrong. I could only eat half of it and then I ate my scrambled eggs. A lot of food for a small price you can't beat. We live an hour away from here so we won't be back often but when we are in town I'm definitely coming back here. Oh yea I ate the other half of my pancake the next day and it was just as good heated up.

5:50 breakfast is fantastic and well worth the price. Use to be 5 bucks but Joe made everything more expensive so you know.

Omelette and biscuit with gravy were really good. Service on par with the food. Can't ask for much more.

My update isn't as much about the food, but the level of customer service. I regularly volunteer at…read morethe farmer's market, so I see many of the same people on a weekly basis. Like life, you encounter people of every description and quality. I posted my first review about this vendor at the market last year. During this new season, I was stopped as I was going past by the same woman I had encountered during my 1st visit. If you'd think her attitude had changed, I can assure you that it had not. She immediately attacked me about the review I had left. At no time did she offer to make anything right. Once again, she bragged about how great her products are and that she sells thousands. In addition, she made a concerted effort to make me feel guilty about my review. She asked how I felt about leaving a poor review of a family business. Well, I can assure you that I feel just fine. I believe my reviews are honest and assess my opinions of the products and level of service. She yelled at me that I should have brought the jars back. At that point, I didn't remember if I did or didn't return the bad product. I stated that I thought I had, but she yelled at me that I never returned them. At no time did she ask me any questions or offer any solutions. I was in the business of customer service for many years. I have never fixed the blame. I always strived to fix the problem. She may well do very well at her stand, but there is always room for improvement. From her attitude, everything is perfect in her own world and pleasing customers is the furthest thing from her mind. I have never once seen her stand jammed with an overabundance of customers, as I have seen at many other stands. I don't see it as a product issue, since there are people willing to pay a price for small jars of relishes and jams. I see this as an attitude issue. The woman is not friendly and I don't get a good feeling dealing with her. I don't believe that being combative solves any issues.

I had purchased three of their popular items, apple bourbon maple jam, raw fermented ginger beet kraut, and pickled red beets. These items have been outstanding. The jam as described has real apple chunks in it and when spread on bread it tastes like an apple pie. Made with quality ingredients including the maple syrup from Paul's family farm it is worth the investment. The kraut is red pink due to the beets but you can taste the pickle in it. It makes a great side dish and will keep in the fridge for some time. My understanding is that it is one of their more popular items. With the markets winding down for the season you can still shop for their products on their website or you can purchase their products at East End food coop or Shenot's farm and market in Wexford. It is my hope to visit their Latrobe brick and mortal location when I'm in the area to stock up on more of their "farm to jar" as they call it products. Even if you are looking for pickles you won't be disappointed.

The banana peppers were delicious. We also enjoyed the pizza. It was a thin crust style, which is OK but I was surprised at how light colored the crust was. If I didn't know they had a wood fired pizza oven, I would have said they baked the pizza in a 350 degree toaster oven. Just no color. We ate a little later that night, so I'm wondering if they let the fire in their oven burn down as they were getting ready to close about an hour later. Understandable I guess. Now the negative - we received only 2 banana peppers but the cost was $16. $8 per pepper! Way overpriced. The pizza was on the expensive side too. One other thing - we sat outside on their nice patio. Believe me, I am a music lover and love just about any music. I really appreciate restaurants when they have live musicians. But this night, there was a musician attempting to sing and play guitar that really detracted from the evening. I don't want to disparage the guy, but let's just say I don't think he should be playing for people.
