They refuse to apply that deposit towards some casual photo shoots to be rendered on the same day and time the wedding would have been so I could at least salvage some of the monies spent. I met Holly and her husband Bruce before hiring them - they left a great first impression, they are full of energy, professional & great people. Holly photographed our engagement photos in an unconventional way. My now husband was coming home from a 6 month deployment on a submarine & I wanted to have a photographer there and have those as our engagement pictures since we had gotten engaged right before he left on deployment. He came home from his last deployment in May 2017. Holly was very accommodating with our situation and not knowing a lot of details ahead of time due to operational security. The photos turned out beautiful, and we even got shots with my husbands family that was visiting from out of town. The turnaround time for our pictures was phenomenal, I was in awe of how fast Holly returned the photos to us, she had the photos to us NINE DAYS after the wedding! I've heard of some people having to wait months, I'm very impressed with the turnaround time and the quality of Holly's photography! Holly was familiar with our venue and our getting ready location, the Coronado Community Center and the Glorietta Bay Inn. We were running a bit behind on the wedding day - Holly ensured that we were still able to get in all of the pictures and navigated Coronado like a pro! I remember for my wedding she made sure that I got all of the pictures and different poses I wanted (plus some really cool ideas I didnt even think of!) and recently for our maternity shoot I printed out a bunch of pics off of Pinterest of different maternity poses I liked and she made sure to get them ALL before we were done. We had a very short engagement, so plans were being made and solidified up to the very end. She showed up to the house on time, and was very patient with us as we got our act together. In fact, she used the wait time to get some cute candid shots and some nice pictures of the boys. We did the photos before the ceremony. Because we didn't get our act together fast enough, we ended up without enough time to drive to my preferred photography location. I started to panic a little, doubting that a nearby park would be sufficient. Julie handled the situation like a pro! She made a tiny, somewhat run-down park look like a sprawling ranch in the country. I appreciated so much how she was able to make lemonade out of lemons and find the best backgrounds and angles. Besides her talent and abilities, she is wonderful to deal with. Julie is a naturally positive, upbeat person, and that is reflected in how she works.
