I can't believe I have not written a review on this amazing place with it's amazing people!!…read more This is an super late review but it actually is also happening at a great time in life. I have a Filipino Street Dogs named Rex who we got a in January of 2022. As a first time dog owner in Canada, I knew I would like for Rex to have the proper training and also would like for him to have a place to go to for sleep overs and play dates. Thankfully I found Parkers Pet Care as it is close to our place. I inquired about puppy school and day care with Parker's and they were very prompt and professional yet personable in their responses. Rex came in for a trial day to see how he would react or adjust to a new environment. At 3 months old and only having him for 1 month, he was very timid and scared of every new surroundings. Yet Parkers took him in for a trial day. Unfortunately he failed his trial day. But the owner Andrew was great and gave Rex a second chance. A second chance that he needed. Andrew took Rex with him and went on with his daily business meetings with rex beside him. Come pick up time and Andrew told us that Rex did great and that Rex has been welcomed into the Parker Pet Care Family. Rex then needed puppy training. Miss Landis who leads the puppy school at Parkers has been nothing but spectacular with training Rex. This is not like any other dog training classes where the owner has to come in for training as well. It really is a "school" format, drop off your furry child and pick him/her up when school is done and then do the homework with them. How convenient and amazing is that!? Miss Landis along with her crew of wonderful people have done wonders with Mr. Rex or Sexy Rexy and helped us bring out the playful and jolly spirit inside of Rex. He has done puppy school and intermediate school there. Both great experience. Also would like to thank Ms. Jade who also has been a part of Rex's training. The wonderful ladies working the front end. All lovely and beautiful and always so welcoming to both animals and hoomans. I wish I could name them all but trust me when I say every person in Parkers is awesome. They show Rex soooo much love that at one point, Rex has gone from needing encouragement to be taken to the back, to Rex being so comfortable with them that he leads them to the back! Oh, and also the awesome staff working the background, those I've never met or dealt with directly but ensures Rex has a jolly ol time with them, thank you very much. The pictures we get during his stay there says he is loving his time there. We also really love and appreciate the staff going the extra mile with their themed events/pictures. Also love the new renovations in terms of play areas! Sadly we have to move outside of Ontario that we won't get to take Rex to his favourite play place. During his last stay, the staff really showed him Soo much love (see his IG post/photo). But rest assured Rex will be back!

This was Liam's third stay at the North York location, and it will be his last…read more On his first stay, I dropped off a healthy, clean dog and received an email the next day saying he had developed dried eye discharge, which staff had cleaned. I gave the benefit of the doubt. On his second stay, the same eye issue occurred again and was initially dismissed as dust. When I picked him up, his bark was strained and barely audible. I was told he had been barking while watching other dogs. After a few days of rest at home, his voice returned -- but it raised concerns about supervision and the environment. During his third stay, I was contacted and told he was limping while I was out of the country. Concerned, I arranged for my veterinary assistant to examine him the following morning. She confirmed there was nothing wrong with his back legs. He has always had a distinctive hop in his gait, which is not a new development. In addition, I have observed frequent staff turnover and a lack of organization. When I picked him up (after returning from Europe 14 days earlier), three staff members were sitting in the lobby on their phones. His belongings were returned in a disorganized manner, one coat was initially missing, and the bottom of his treat bag was damp. I also received a message stating that another dog was mounting him but that he "sets his boundaries well." As a paying client, I expect consistent supervision, cleanliness, and professionalism -- not reassurance that my small dog can manage situations himself. Repeated issues that only occur while he is in their care, combined with the lack of accountability and organization I have observed, have made it clear that this facility is not suited for my dog. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location.

Jeff is an amazing trainer who really loves dogs and having my dogs spend time at Pack of Paws is the best treat I have ever given them. (Molly not only comes back visibly happier with a very calm satified energy, Jeff takes his time explaning training methods and gives tips and pointers on what I can do on my own time Molly) So far only one of my dogs have spent time there and the change I saw in her was immediate (positive changes). She always comes back super content, a little tired (from the exercise and playing) and ready to nap and cuddle. I am going to start sending my other dog to the day care so she can enjoy the benefits of working with Jeff and his pack. I very much recommend this if you need training or if you simply want a good place for your pooch to hang out during the day when you're at work (or even if you simply want your pup to play with other dogs and go for an amazing group walk with Jeff on his rollerblades) This is the most satisfied I've ever been with ANY service I have come across in all my life. update: both my dogs have now been going to pack of paws for a month now and they are so well behaved and so happy. my finicky little one is a lot more respectful and actually comes when we call her. She also had fear of stairs which is now gone. my bigger dog who loves to jump on people and is super high energy is so much more well adjusted and calm :)

So happy with my experience at The Groom Room! They are booking a couple weeks out but you can ask…read moreif they have any last minute cancellations if you need something ASAP. To book each time, fill out their form on their website and someone will email you. Their staff are so kind and welcoming. You can tell they really love working with animals. I had a session with Michelle who did an amazing job with my bichon frise. My dog's round hair cut came out perfectly and we didn't have to do any touchups at home ourselves (my family has a very keen eye for my dog's haircut). My dog has a lot of allergies so I told them not to give her any treats. You are able to bring your own treats for them to give your dog which I'll do next time. They do the intake and payment outside and I love the report card they give you at the end. Sometimes grooming is like a black hole and you wonder how it went so I thought the report card is an adorable and nice touch. I paid around $110-120 before tip which included an add on for hypoallergenic shampoo. I thought this was really reasonable especially since they take care of your dog for around 5 hours so it's essentially grooming and daycare together.

Decent grooming place. It's quite pricey ($90) but I guess it's because of the area? I don't know…read more The groomer seemed nice and making an appointment was easy. The cut was pretty good. The place itself seemed a bit run down. They had about 10 dogs there in the same room/area where they groom them and more dogs in the back which is also the reception area. The hair was flying around and overall it was very chaotic. I guess I expected more after reading such good good reviews

I've adopted 2 pets from Toronto Animal Services North Region…read more First was Riley, an 8 year old Lhaso Apso who was found wandering the streets. From his condition, it was evident he was homeless for many weeks and unfortunately, showed signs of being abused. It took a few months for Riley to build his trust with humans again, but for the 6 years we had him, he brought untold happiness to our home. Recently, I've adopted another dog...Finnegan, a 1 year old Shih-Tzu/Pomeranian mix. Finn was turned in to animal services as his owners could no longer care for him. Like Riley before him, he has personality with a capital "P"....and has, in a months time, become an old friend. When thinking of adopting a pet, why not look at an animal shelter or humane society? They have numerous animals looking for what they call "forever homes'. Some animals come with little or no background, so they are assessed and information is provided based on professional observations. Some animals are turned in by their owners, for whatever reason, and some background information is available. Some animals are rescues from a life that is unfitting anything. Besides dogs and cats, they have other animals as well, rabbits, guinea pigs...the list goes on and on. The people that I have been fortunate enough to deal with at Toronto Animal Services North have been stellar. They truly love animals and are careful to ensure that pets available for adoption are placed with individuals who can provide proper care for them. Sorry if I can't recall names, but everyone there was pleasant, knowledgable and obviously loved their jobs. They made the adoption process so much more enjoyable and they seem thrilled when one of their animals finds a new home. The cost is minimal and there are companions waiting to be found here. Please, before visiting a pet store or breeder, give a pet in a shelter a chance. You won't be sorry

The only reason I'm not giving them a 1 star rating is that they might be good at the actual…read morespaying and neutering, but I never found out! Calling them for the last 2 weeks, no one ever answers the phone, literally, not once. I'm talking calling 20-30 times per day, 2-3 calls at a time. Then their answering machine....the message is literally 3 minutes long. THREE MINUTES for what should be: "Leave a message after the tone" !!! So leaving an actual message for callback is very frustrating, as the message says so much information it kills your entire train of thought. Among other info, the message stated that they will call you back within 24 hours. It's been a week, no callback again. When we did get through to them months ago, we asked for spaying of 2 of our cats. The receptionist was very rude and we felt like she was just trying to get us off the phone so she could go back to playing Solitaire on her computer. She told us the fax number where to send all of our info and that it set up through that. Ok, so I faxed all of our information about both our cats. We did not receive any call back or anything, so after 2+ weeks passed, I got frustrated and called them again. The same (rude) receptionist picked up and said that they did receive the faxes and booked the cats for spaying. One was due to be spayed the next day, and the other in a week! Needless to say I was very upset, since they first off, booked both my cats on different dates, even though I requested they both be done on the same day. More importantly, I was upset at the fact that no one called us to tell us about the booking dates in the first place! Needless to say I cancelled. So yea, price wise this place maybe cheap, but they have absolutely NO customer service what-so-ever. Worst receptionist I've ever encountered with any business!
