DJ was very responsive and gave great ideas on how to get my vision and budget to come together. She provided a gorgeous rainbow balloon arch & she also filled my own store-bought Mylar & latex balloons which she attached to ribbons and weights into lovely bouquets for the party. She provided home delivery and disassembly/ pickup of her arch structure supplies the next day- I didn't have to do anything- so convenient! The arch was a showstopper at our event and a memorable focal point for kids dancing/playing underneath and taking pictures in front of. I highly recommend Celebrations Unlimited to everyone!

We used Celebrations for wedding planning in October 2015. At first meeting some months prior to the event all seemed congenial. This was a same sex wedding and DJ seemed OK with that and touted experience with the same. She frequently asks about your "vision." Although this seems more appropriate for a bride and a groom, we told he what we wanted. She assured us that changes happen along the way and that she is flexible and would work with us. This was not the case. The event was quite successful. Except for having the chairs in the correct place, coordinating the actual day of the event, cake and flowers , we can give no credit to Celebrations Unlimited for this success. Working with them was most unpleasant and just got worse as we got closer to the date. We found that she accepts little responsibility for errors and not accommodating for special requests. Unfortunately, from correspondence to correspondence you never know which DJ you're going to get. Our "VISION" was to have a wedding planner that would provide the service in a seamless way and reduce stress. This is not what we got. They are unresponsive to phone calls and emails and simply created more stress. We requested a bill on three occasions and received it one week before the wedding. The cost for chairs, water, flowers, cake and planning the day of the wedding was $6500.00. We had just over 100 people and arranged the photographer, reception and rehearsal dinner ourselves. All in all, the wedding was a huge success. My recommendation is to interview more than one planner, Celebrations Unlimited could be one of them. Establish your costs up front. Ask for references! If it is a different wedding, like two brides or grooms, make sure the planner has experience with this. Buyer beware and know what you are doing! Unfortunately we did not.

My wife and I were married…read morein June of 2011, and our wedding day would have been vastly different in terms of quality, consistency and beauty had it not been for Jonathan and Jessie. We approached our wedding day as something that would more or less "fall into place," but as the day grew closer, we began to realize the necessity and immense helpfulness of J Warner Events. I could write quite a bit, but here are a few things that stood out to my wife and I about them: 1) They value creativity and space, while remaining vocal and leading. Both in word and deed, Jon and Jessie upheld the important balance of our preferences and dreams for the wedding, while still challenging and guiding us into efficient solutions and execution. They are averse to dominating or controlling the wedding event, and seek to orient themselves around the couple's goals. They listened patiently to our ideas, sometimes even sacrificing their own opinions. They visibly shared our excitement about the highlights of the day. But at the same time, they were quick to suggest alternative ways of the details of our day. They were quick to step up and take over details that we were too busy or too forgetful to remember. Their firm direction was essential to making the day come together so perfectly. 2) They add delightful, unanticipated personal touches. Jon and Jessie both personally created or oversaw little decorations and details that we did not expect. Some of these details ended up really making the day. Jon worked to get a large, custom-painted wooden sign with our name on it up at the front of the property, something we didn't expect. 3) They are encouraging to be around. Weddings are an extremely stressful time. Jon and Jessie bring the tension and stress down by their cheerful, cooperative presence. As a couple, they are perfect together, complimenting each other and their ideas. Working together, they offered us endless kind words and hope for the day. This made all the difference -- having a team of coordinators that are constantly upbeat, humble and cheerful is a rare thing. They are genuine to the core, and this will put any wedding event and those involved at ease. In addition, I attended a wedding a month later in Petaluma, CA that they coordinated as well, as was just as impressed! I would highly recommend this dynamic duo. They were such a blessing and encouragement to us. You are doing yourself and your wedding day a favor in choosing them. Thank Jon and Jessie!

    I booked SoCoBay Balloons for my son's first birthday party after seeing Shannon's beautiful work…read moreon Instagram. As a wedding coordinator, I work in the service industry and fully understand how event days can unfold. This is a professional and honest review based on my experience. To start, Shannon was great with communication. She was quick to respond, sent the invoice in a timely manner, and her pricing was fair. I appreciated her professionalism during the booking process. However, the day of the party didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped. Shannon arrived about 20 minutes late, which was stressful as we were in the final stages of setup. The balloon arch she installed looked okay, but it was much more basic than the detailed and creative installations I had seen on her social media--which was a major reason I booked her. I'm glad I provided a bright colorful banner to dress it up as the arch didn't include the fruit balloon accents we had discussed and confirmed via Instagram DMs. I had also let her know in advance that I'd be supplying tassels for helium balloons, which were a part of the overall vision. Unfortunately, she used retail-store helium tanks that weren't strong enough to hold up the balloons with the tassels. I've used professional-grade helium in the past and didn't have this issue, so it was disappointing that I couldn't use a key part of the decor I had spent time preparing. Additionally, I asked if she had a few extra balloons to add to our welcome sign. She said she might. I said let's focus on the arch and if there's time, we can add that. She then left the room, so I assumed she was working on it--but she never returned or followed up. She didn't check in with me before leaving or confirm if everything looked okay, which felt unprofessional and left me with unanswered questions. While Shannon was responsive and easy to work with leading up to the event, the final execution didn't meet the expectations I had based on her portfolio or our planning conversations. I do think she has talent, but unfortunately, this experience fell flat for me on an important day.

We found Brooke by searching for wedding planners that had worked with our venue (Timber Cove Resort) before. Having worked there before, it was a huge plus that she already knew the coordinators and had cultivated relationships with trusted vendors who were familiar with the property. This insider knowledge made our planning process very smooth. We decided to go with the partial planning package, which fit our needs well. Early in the planning process, we'd spend time researching vendors on our own as well as ask Brooke for her recommendations, then reach out to the vendors on both of our lists. We found ourselves choosing her suggestions almost every time. Her industry experience and keen eye for quality vendors became obvious very quickly, yet she never made us feel pressured to go with any particular choice. She simply provided excellent options and let us make the decisions. Throughout the entire process, Brooke was incredibly mindful of our budget. In our very first meeting, she showed us a detailed budget from a previous wedding she did at our venue and walked us through each line item, pointing out areas where we might want to allocate more or less based on our priorities. This level of transparency and attention to detail immediately gave us confidence in her approach. Her communication style was exactly what we needed. We often sent her emails late at night, and Brooke would consistently respond first thing the next morning with clear, comprehensive answers. There was not a single time that she didn't address a concern in one of our emails, even when we sent her massive lists. She was also always proactive about letting us know when she'd be on vacation well in advance, allowing us to plan our questions and timeline accordingly. Brooke's flexibility was another standout quality. While our contract only covered the wedding day itself, we had planned a Welcome Dinner the night before and a Farewell Brunch the day after that we intended to handle ourselves. Unlike other planners we'd heard about from our friends who strictly limit their involvement to contracted days (which is understandable), Brooke was incredibly supportive when questions came up about these additional events. She went above and beyond by helping us order linens from the rental company and create layouts for these extra events. Not to say that future clients should expect this kind of support for non-contracted events by any means, but we were grateful for her willingness to lend a helping hand with the extra details that made our entire wedding weekend cohesive and stress-free. When our wedding day arrived, everything ran flawlessly! Even when we had a last-minute request to move our toasts indoors due to wind and chilly weather, Brooke handled it seamlessly without missing a beat. We can't imagine having planned our wedding without Brooke. Her expertise, professionalism, and genuine care for our vision made what could have been an overwhelming process both enjoyable and successful. We truly couldn't think of anything negative when she asked for our feedback after the wedding. We absolutely recommend her without reservation!

She truly pulled out all the stops to create the most magical, heavenly day of my life! My husband and I were in awe and so impressed by her, especially since we are pretty detail oriented ourselves. Brooke is even more so, and genuinely cared that our wedding day was perfectly executed from start to finish. She is prompt when responding to emails and texts and is always on time. In addition, her extensive industry experience is obvious and came in handy time and time again as we navigated the complicated wedding planning process. It is important to note that she is also very kind, understanding, and hard working, so I never once felt uncomfortable asking her questions or for tasks to be done. Brooke knew how much I cared about the look and feel of our wedding being just right, and she completely blew me out of the water - so much so that I cried for the first time before walking down the aisle when she gave me a sneak peak of the reception hall. And on my wedding night, Brooke provided all of my bridesmaids flip flops and even went back to our hotel to grab the flats I left behind so that we could dance the night away!
