Knowing I was anxious, he modified the standard report cards to include videos with voiceovers explaining her progress and the reasoning behind each exercise. After three weeks, she's still her fun, wacky self, but now she listens, follows commands, and stays calm around other dogs. My only regret is not coming to Richard sooner. I have had 4 dog trainers before him and absolutely…read moreno one was able to create the positive change I have seen in my dog. My dog was dog aggressive, could never take her to a dog park, taking her on a walk or anywhere where we could possibly encounter another dog was a nightmare. She was stubborn and would listen to me maybe 50% of the time on a good day. Everyone told me to use positive methods, take her near a dog park and give her treats every time she looks at a dog. None of that worked. I was told she was reactive and I just needed to accept that. But my dog was so reactive and fearful she was not enjoying life. On the first day with Richard, I saw an immediate change, she was able to walk by a dog and not even bark or lunge or make a sound. It was crazy! Richard was right... coming into this my dog didn't trust me and let me tell you his methods not only improved my dog's life but improved my relationship with my dog. By the third day of training my dog was in the dog park, playing and running around with other dogs and you could see how happy she was, it was like a weight of fear was lifted off her shoulders, I could not believe it. Now I go to dog parks two to three times a week. At first, I was skeptical about e-collar training, but seeing how quick and effective it was and how knowledgeable Richard was with this I definitely grew more comfortable with it and am convinced there truly is no other way, but the most important thing here is Richard.
