We ended up leaving after 2 months of our baby being born and went to another truly concierge-style pediatrician. The issues we had here was that 90% of our encounters were with a Nurse Practioner. Maybe I just got unlucky and never had an md available. The final straw was probably when my baby had his 2 month vaccine, ran a fever the same night, and the NP picked up the after hours call. She made us really nervous that something was extremely wrong even though it was just the vaccine. I mean after hours is for emergency. What if it was something worse- couldn't a doctor at least be on call? They also bill you for everything. I mean everything. Just sending an email with a photo of my baby's red bump, and then they ask to jump on a call for a few minutes just to tell me it's baby acne and then they bill $300-$400. Why not just respond via email. The same thing with asking basic questions like he's spitting up, constipated. Need to jump on a call and then get billed $300-$400. Money is not an issue for us but overtime it just seemed so ridiculous and prevented me from even wanting to email or call in. They also seem to love probiotics here. My baby had dry skin and the nurse told us to use probiotics to resolve it? He's spitting up, she told us to use probiotics. He's constipated. The solution was to use probiotics. My baby also developed a flat head. They sent us to physical therapy and to get advised for a helmet right away. At my new practice, the MD wanted to take a look at him first and then sent a referral to UCSF to get consultation with their cranio team. Anyway. I just felt like it's really cookie cutter here. Didn't feel like they cared about my baby at all. It's more like they provide good service. Yes someone will always respond to your email right away and answer your call. But just expect an NP or to be billed for every conversation you have with them.

When it was your issue with your doctor's license to begin with? Yeah... I highly recommend you look into something else, this was suppose to be awesome and easy, and when I first came it actually was, but this issue i just described is about the 4th time this has happened, at this point im going some place else, they're no hurry to find a solution and even when they do come up with a "solution" its no real solution!!!!

After a 6 week stay in the NICU, and a G-Tube placement, we started feeding therapy with Teresa through the Golden Gate Regional Center. During our time in the hospital and just after, we met with a number of feeding therapists that were next to no help with us. It was frustrating and sad, especially as new mom. When I met Teresa, I told her upfront that I was having a hard time and that I needed someone that could really help us get to a place where we could wean off our feeding tube. Nearly a year later, my daughter has been tube-free for almost five months, and has been mostly oral for about nine months. So much of our progress has been because of the help I got from Teresa. She has amazing patience, and really listens to what you're saying and offers useful and constructive ways to help. Nothing about it is forced, and along the way, there's also a gentleness in her approach to moving to the next steps. Of all our early intervention providers, Teresa is the one person I really wanted to meet with on a weekly basis because I knew there'd be constructive and helpful takeaways from our meetings. We recently had to relocate out of the state, and I am incredibly sad that I couldn't bring Teresa with us. While a few staff seem compassionate and want to provide care, the overall atmosphere feels inconsistent and dismissive of legitimate concerns. Families should look very closely at how care plans are followed, how staff respond to resident limitations, and how complaints are actually handled. Proceed with caution at this facility.
