I got to know several of the caregivers personally as we cared for my father together: I especially treasured my father's time with Yvonne, Rihyana, Sebastien, and Kaye. All four of them were outstanding: deeply empathetic, and highly skilled. I also felt very comfortable leaving my father alone with Home Instead, as they were trustworthy, and even kept my father's apartment clean. I had a few concerns along the way, and the Home Instead administrators were responsive, and made all the changes I requested. Thank you for making a difficult time in our family's life a little less difficult and a little more joyful. Home Instead was everything I was hoping for in hospice caregiving.

Angels. These people are angels. If you read through the…read moreother reviews, I could not agree more. It's all been said, so I'll keep it short. I literally was at the end of my rope. I couldn't pick up my Mom when she suddenly couldn't walk anymore. She was on Kaiser Hospice with terminal bone cancer (wow, also incredible people!) and they recommended Roxana. Victor was wonderful on the phone. Sensing I couldn't make another night, he managed to have a nurse at the house by 9:00 p.m. "Angel" Nurse Blanca and Roxana walked in that night and jumped into action, literally. Firing off instructions between the two, they immediately cleaned my Mom and got her comfortably into bed, fixed the room, etc. On a later day, I went to the store when they were putting in a catheter because they knew I didn't need to hear it. They know so much about taking care of the caregiver! When I got back, the entire living room was organized, clean, medicine logs, every single medicine organized. I couldn't believe how wonderful they were. Blanca literally never left my Mom's side. She called her "Princess" and stood for hours fanning Mom with a calendar b/c she was hot. She had to sleep over b/c she lived far away; she's a wonderful person. We didn't speak the same language (my fault) but it didn't matter at all. Universal sign language worked just fine. There's apps that translate the spoken word. They also worked with Kaiser Hospice which helped immensely. They were knowledgeable about Mom's meds and condition. Roxana was also amazing; dropping by. Explaining everything to me. Taking time to talk to me often. Just overseeing everything. This 'short' review isn't so short. I have a million other things I could describe about Nurse Blanca's amazing help but I'll stop. Unfortunately, it was only for five days. Mom passed and Blanca made sure we had our time alone with no one in the room. Just what is needed but you don't know these things at the time. Their experience is worth every penny. I don't know what I would've done without them. Angels.

Their social workers would assume and only listen to my mom's last caregiver (evil minded) instead of really understand what's going on meaning they're destroying a family relationship instead of helping. I've the best relationship with my mom especially after my dad passed away because she's the only parent I've got. Additionally, one of their staff is very rude (back then) when I was just dropping off the last sponsorship for the walkathon that I've collected. NOTE: That lady has the nerve to say "only ten dollars" when it was the last sponsorship I collected. It looks like they're not professional enough to provide service. I told myself that I would never help their organization again nor my friends. They really need to train their staff to have better judgment and behavior. ***If there were zero rating then that's what I would give. This is one of the bad experiences I would never forget.***

After years being responsible for providing caregiving and establishing services for my mother and…read morenow my sister, who requires 24 hour care, I highly recommend CrossRoads for home care services. My sister was in an assisted nursing care facility for 6 months, and the thought of her continuing to reside in a similar environment was heartbreaking. While there, the numerous and almost monthly visits to the ER due to UTIs, inadequate doctor and care oversite, lack of consistent and timely drug and therapy services was truly unacceptable for her health. My sister is now living with my family in our home, and CrossRoads has allowed us to find an alternative path to her care along with using other support teams. From CrossRoads, we received scheduled physical, occupational and nursing services. Their exceptional services have allowed my sister to remain in a home environment and us to build a secure loving environment for her long-term care. I have used other home care services, and would consistently request for CrossRoads services. Her medical needs are addressed by a caring, effective, reliable, proactive and incredible staff at CrossRoads. I could not have asked for a better team to help with this unprecedented emotional and physical challenge my family has undertaken. Our physical therapist Jason, engages, motivates and physically prepares my sister for mobility and flexibility and encourages her to maintain and maximize her existing mobility. My sister enjoys their conversations. He is responsive, consistent and timely. We could not have asked for a better partner in providing the physical and emotional support my sister and my family require. He is simply the best and anyone would be lucky to have him on their team. I worked with Shanel, nurse and case manager, for both my mother's and sister's home care. She is incredibly responsive and experienced in addressing the medical needs that arise. She is proactive in recommending solutions and next steps, all of which provides assurance that as medical needs arise, they will be addressed immediately. Shanel de-escalates the stress and uncertainty surrounding medical situations. Shanel provides the confidence that home care is a viable and very workable situation in partnering with my sister's medical team. It's very obvious that Shanel enjoys her work and patients, and truly focuses on the customers' needs. When my sister arrived at our home, Sabrina, Occupational Therapist, immediately identified tools, equipment and recommendations that provided additional comfort to my sister and to our family and support caregivers in mitigating our physical demands. She was incredibly efficient and facilitated accommodating our needs immediately with her experience and resources. I feel our sister received the best care from Sabrina and CrossRoads in tailoring our home as effectively as possible in maximizing my sister's care. Equally important as the effective direct skills of the CrossRoads staff, is the intangible support they provide my sister and to us. We don't feel alone in caregiving, many times a heartbreaking process. We feel there is an incredible team available to support the care of my sister. My sister is engaged and enjoys interacting with the entire staff providing for good moments.

Our physical therapist, Ms Noel, seemed to have a special understanding of my husband's situation that helped reduce his pain whenever she visited. My experience with their service over three months: - Missed Follow-Ups: My primary advocate missed five consecutive scheduled follow-up dates. - Contradictory Information: Advocates gave conflicting reports in writing regarding whether an official hospital audit was ever formally submitted. - Case Closed Unresolved: Included Health closed my case on June 26, 2026, leaving four out of five core questions about my disputed provider charges completely unanswered. - Automated Deflection: When escalated, they relied on canned responses about internal "training opportunities" rather than resolving the billing issue. Later responses to public feedback used copy-pasted form letters calling months of administrative chat dialogues a "patient visit" and claiming they were actively working with me, despite zero contact for nearly a month now. - They behave more like an automated ticket-routing service than an advocate. It was communicated enough to stop the in-home care services, so it could have been communicated to your sales team in hospice. It's not logical, so I'm left to assume it was just your business development tactic. Plus, the new organization we switched to (By the Bay Health with UCSF) called and notified you, as well as I told the nurse case manager, that's 2 very concrete confirmations that we were switching to another organization, so there's no reason you wouldn't have known. I also failed to mention that it took a week before an LVN or any of the providers came to see my mother after her hospital stay. I also had to call daily to find out when providers were going to come see her, as there was no communication and no sense of urgency to help her. The only reason they started to send people was because I kept calling. Also, the nurse case manager never even came to see my mother. She called to schedule a visit to my mother 2 weeks after her release from the hospital -- only after she heard we were going to switch to another organization and transition to hospice care. It was so unprofessional of her to call and try to do that after our new organization had notified you all that we were ending in-home care services and didn't want your hospice services either. You develop a bad reputation this way and people actively tell others not to use your services with this kind of service and these practices. I assure you that I and others who gave you poor reviews will spread that word.
