Mr. Appliance of Grand Rapids has provided very good service. I certainly recommend this company to…read moreeveryone that needs service.

Working with them was great -- until it wasn't. My Samsung washer stopped draining. I knew it was…read morethe drain pump, so I called around to see who could come soonest and Mr Appliance was here the next morning. He was professional, so nice, confirmed what I knew already and said they'd get the part ordered. I paid $200 for that visit to tell me what I already knew. Fast forward a few days and the part is in and ready to install. Again, so professional and informative. I had the utmost confidence in him. All fixed--$298 more. At this point I could have bought a new machine, but the service was fast and professional. After he left, I started a load of towels. I went up to switch laundry and the floor had about 1/8" of water. My laundry room is on the 2nd floor. Most of it went down the floor drain, but that got overwhelmed. I went to the basement for the shop vac and the water had made its way all the way down and leaked into the storage room around the pipes. There was so much water everywhere. I tipped the washer back to see underneath at what could have happened. I could see it clear as day and I'm not a licensed washing machine repair person. He didn't connect the clamp to the drain pump after installing!!!! So during the final spin cycle, the tube came loose and all the water in the rinse cycle ended up all over my house. I had clean up, had to call servpro for water in the walls and have the carpets outside the laundry room cleaned. I needed to replace the laundry room rug as well. When I contacted them and told them what happened they offered to come fix it. I told them I already fixed it....and it wasn't a "fix", it was improper installation. This is where things went south. I had paid for water clean up, lost 2 hours of my work day and had to throw away a rug. I paid $498 for a fix that cost me hundreds more because it was done incorrectly. I only asked for $250 in reimbursement, which I didn't think was a lot considering I could have asked them to file an insurance claim and pay for water clean up and rugs. The person had the nerve to say the best they can offer is $100 because they have costs involved. We went back and forth a few times and they are lucky my husband is a nicer person than I am because I was ready to just dispute the credit card charge and provide the pictures and videos to prove the job was not done. We ended up on a $179 refund. My husband was happy to have it done. I am still upset about how it all went down and insulted that they could offer was $100 after we paid their fee and the clean up after they messed it up. This was their exact response to me after asking for $250 back "I think that would be a little too much. I know you had to pay some cost for cleaning but we also offered to return to fix it." I honestly did not want them to be out the part cost, so I asked for the breakdown of the invoice. I would pay for the part, they pay for the service. They don't offer receipt breakdowns of parts and service. The exact response: "We don't breakdown the parts and labor as we charge just one fee for all. Sorry we still need to cover some cost on our end as well. We can do $179.95." Their fee is expensive, but their response time was amazing. Finishing the project correctly and the follow up conversation when it went wrong gives them ZERO stars. They are a business and should be insured for these types of mishaps. Water clean up is no joke. I do not recommend them.
