Poor communication. Does not return calls or texts unless I continue calling numerous times. They told me to deal with the insurance company for the part that Kevin thought was needed. His office lady said I could get it faster if I ordered it. My complaints were numerous but Kevin could not fix my range. My insurance company gave me another appliance repair company. I only had to call them once. They knew immediately what was wrong, ordered the Part themselves and fixed my range. For the first time... my new range is quiet. Kevin called me upset that my warranty had run out. He knew I had the extended insurance. I'm very unhappy with Kevin's appliance repair. I cannot recommend this repair company. read more

Fantastic service and very fair pricing I used Kevin's Appliance Service when my washer wouldn't drain. It was 9 months past the warranty. Kevin's showed up quickly and diagnosed a bad board. When they installed the new board, it turned out that both boards were bad. They did the complete repair and stuck to their original quote. I was SO grateful and impressed. They were referred to me by Decker & Sons and I couldn't be more pleased. read more

My service call to Kevin's went out exactly two weeks ago today. Kevin came out to look at our dishwasher (newer model, simply would not turn on), told my husband he had to order a few parts, and never called back. Three business days later, my husband called for an update. The secretary told him that it would be one-two more days. Three days later, I call. The secretary tells me it will be at least 3 days-week and that she had told my husband that yesterday. Wrong. When I correct her, she gets extremely rude and tells me she then "has no idea when he can fix it." My husband calls back today. The secretary says they do not have the parts and suggests he cancel his order. Wow. Now I know that having a broken dishwasher is not the end of the world, but when you pay a professional $74 to simply look at the machine, you expect some sort of update (and manners). read more

The customer service provided by Sharon, who appears to run the front desk and schedule appointments is awful. It sounds like the other individual who reviewed this company prior had a similarly poor customer service experience with her. I called on Monday to schedule an appointment for someone to come out of my rental house to look at the fridge. I wasn't sure what was wrong with it but it needed some service done. I wanted to know some available times they had for the next Wednesday so I could coordinate with my tenant to be there at the house to let someone in. She did not provide any available times, she would not make a formal appointment for service, and told me to call back when I knew when the tenant would be home and then schedule then. She wasn't exactly pleasant during that call but I chalked it up calling at the end of the day and she had a long day. We ended up solving the issue on our own so I did not need a service call and thus I did not call back. So when Sharon called Wednesday telling me a service person was on their way, I was surprised! I told her that she was the one who refused to make a formal appointment and that we actually solved the issue on our own and did not need a service call. She rudely said "I wish you would've told me that before" and abruptly hung up. I called back immediately and the call went to her voice mail where I said I wasn't sure how we got disconnected that but that no formal appointment was created and was not needed". I'm shocked that a business just lets a call just go through to voice mail like that. I know she was there_ I just spoke to her! This place may do wonderful work but I won't know because I won't call again out of dread for having to work with this women in scheduling something. read more

I have used Kevin's for all of my appliance repair for 21 years, and I recommend them whenever I am asked. I was originally referred by a neighbor who had used them all her life too. One time Kevin came and made fixes to my dishwasher, refrigerator, AND dryer in one visit, all on the same $75. I hit the jackpot that day. One time they told me by my description over the phone that my washer could not be saved, and recommended that I save the money for the service call. Kevin has made a variety of practical suggestions to prolong the life of my machines, or prevent problems. I have never felt taken advantage of in any way. I just called today about my 22 year old dryer. They told me right away that this could be saved, and they'll be here tomorrow. I think I have almost always had an appointment the next day. I am surprised to see any negative reviews of this company at all. I have been extremely thankful to have a good appliance repair person whenever I have needed one. read more

I had great service from Kevin's, so I thought I'd help out their reviews a bit. I was able to get an appointment about five days from when I called, and they were very responsive to letting me know when he was coming and giving me a call when he left so I could make sure my dog was restrained properly. He was able to fix my washing machine in about thirty minutes total, and it was a relief he had a credit card reader with him. A month later, my washer is still working, so that's a good sign! I wouldn't call the price cheap, but it was about what I'd expect for a repair on a washer. All in all, I would definitely recommend Kevin's. read more

I thought I would use a small hometown business so when I called KAS, I was happy they could come right out the next day with a reasonable verbal quote of $45 house call and $20/ 30 mins of labor. The man came to my house the next day and small talked quite a bit about my home renovations before getting started on my oven. While working on the oven he basically told me I needed a new one and that if I were to get this one fixed it would cost more than the price of new...I appreciated his honest opinion and then was blown away when he told me my total was $85. I immediately explained how I was not quoted that high and had I known they were going to pull my leg, I would have called Sears or somewhere else. After he left I called Sharon and no answer so I explained my frustration via voicemail. She called me back about 30-60 mins later and pretty much was rude and lied by saying she corrected me the day before when I repeated the rates back to her (which I never did) she told me if I went to someone else that they wouldn't know what they're doing and tried making herself sound like she runs a pristine business. I said that they way her customer service skills are that I'm surprised she gets any business. She tried to say that I should have been charged more since the man was at my house longer and I laughed because he was talking to me about my renovations for a long time so shame on that company to even try to charge for "leisure" I was still explaining myself to her and he HUNG up on me..what the heck. What company does that?! I called her right back and she IGNORED my call. So I explained that I will be leaving this review and to make sure no one uses this company. She called me back an hour or so later stating that "oh I thought our conversation was over...etc etc & that if I have anymore questions to call back" listen lady, I have no desire to call your phone number back ever unless you want to refund me my money. Wow, too bad you don't use the "customers always right" motto...up charging me an extra $20 ...really could have saved yourself another poor review. read more

Kevin's Appliance repair is a top-notch operation, and Kevin is quite expert in his profession. I have nothing but positive experiences with the firm! We have the New Zealand dishwasher drawers, and they can be a bit finicky. Kevin knows his brands, his models and has all the knowledge necessary to get repairs done right the first time. Communication is excellent, and Kevin is at the appointment on time and is quite efficient. He's bright, energetic, efficient and gets the job done right. He even leaves the work area cleaner than when he started! His price is more than fair: He's not "cheap," but having had experiences with the lower-priced "corporate" service companies, I can say that I have saved money using Kevin because he gets the job done right on the first visit.
