Service was excellent. I was searching for an ENT specialist to fix my eardrums. My insurance app…read morefound this location being flexible and easy to get appointments. First time here, I didn't have any issues. The doctor gave me a medication. It kind of fixed the problem but I think the symptoms went away on its own. Other than a shocking side effects that almost sent me to the emergency room, I was back to normal. My second time here was to get an allergy test before they can formulate the serum for my allergy shot. Ok. This seems pretty simple. I followed the instructions to prepare my test. I didn't have to wait. The staff poked me a few times (about 82 times) and generated a report. Then, the doctor came in to explain the results and the next step. There were two options, daily drop under the tongue or weekly shots. I thought it was bothersome and expensive for daily dose, nearly $400 for 3 months. He said weekly shots are about the same price. Treatments would last 3 years or longer. I told him I can't do it now because I have some major events I need to attend. He said it would take time to formulate the serum anyway. I was happy that test was done with no side effects. But I am in pain for my wallet. Upon check out, I almost fall to the floor. They charged over $600, including copay for the test. I didn't get any warning. Ugh. I'm so upset and not going back again. I can't afford to get the shots, not even one drop. Tomorrow is the first, the rent needs to be paid. Update: a day later, I called my insurance company and asked them if this provider sent in my procedure for approval. The response was shocking. Nope. So, I removed another star.

From the very beginning, he was professional, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to understand my history and symptoms, and he offered a surgical solution that honestly changed everything. Since the procedure, I haven't had a single migraine. It's hard to put into words what a relief that is. I've regained control over my life, and I no longer live in constant fear of the next attack. Dr. Smith gave me my quality of life back, and I couldn't be more thankful. If you're struggling with migraines and haven't found relief, I highly recommend seeing him. It was the best decision I've ever made.

I'll start with the disappointing medical care I received since that is what most people will be…read moreinterested in, but the biggest reason I would advise you to stay away is the utter lack of competence of the office manager and how she continuously violated Dr. Smith's contract with Cigna insurance which I will explain later. Here are the issues with my medical care: - I asked point blank what the risks were and was told "just a nose bleed." Turns out after the fact I was told that I had a higher risk of headaches as a result of the surgery and would need another surgery to remove that risk (this would be a third surgery). Also, days after the surgery my nose bled so bad that I had to be rushed to the ER where I blacked out due to loss of blood. I had a second surgery that day as a result and missed an extra week of work. - My medical issue was partially fixed but not fully fixed. I needed a procedure from another doctor to get it resolved. - Recovery from the surgeries was brutal. Much worse than they prepped me for. Here are the issues with the office manager. This stemmed from an issue where she required me to pay ~$1,700 before scheduling the surgery and then refusing to refund the money after Cigna said I did not owe it. She avoided paying me back for 18 months despite me reaching out to the office on a weekly basis. - She cannot effectively delegate work to others and she herself is never available. She is the only one in the office I could talk to about this and I must have called the office no fewer than 75 times and only reached her about 7 times. She ignored my emails for months and the few times she did respond, she often starts her email off with "I didn't have time to read your email but here is some information" - Refusal to go through proper billing and insurance protocols. A lead analyst with the Cigna Senior Leadership Escalations group told me that her actions violated Dr. Smith's contract with Cigna. At first I thought she was a combination of overworked and incompetent. I still think that's true, but after about a year of dealing with this issue and speaking with more than a half dozen Cigna agents, I realized she just wanted to take my money without going through Cigna as she was required to. Every Cigna agent told me that Smith Sinus could not legally keep my money, yet she did. If she wanted to bill me more and keep the money, she needed to do that through Cigna and she avoided it for so long, they told her it was too late. Only once I filed a legal complaint through Cigna did she finally issue me a partial refund (I'm still waiting for a full refund that Cigna said I'm owed). - She said she would call Cigna to get it straightened out but didn't until I would ask 10+ times by phone or email. Even after speaking with Cigna she did nothing and I had to go through this process 3 or 4 times and sit on the phone while she spoke to Cigna. Still no action taken on her part to refund my money. - I filed a BBB complaint which Smith Sinus ignored- I had to file a legal complaint with Cigna against Smith Sinus. Cigna says these issues are resolved within 30 days but it took them closer to 90 before Smith Sinus gave me a partial refund due to how slow the office manager is. - Office manager said after a month of asking for it that she uploaded support for the short payment to my patient portal. I logged in and nothing had been uploaded. Upon follow up, she decided to ignore me. She refuses to provide any explanation for short paying me. - I have only spoken to this office manager and everyone at Smith Sinus with a respectful tone and respectful words but throughout this entire ordeal, no one has apologized to me. Smith Sinus is clearly in the wrong which they admitted to when they refunded me $1,200. No one seems to care about all the hassle they have given me. They do not seem to care about their patients and will do whatever they can to take your money even if illegally.

When I first visited Dr. K and his team in their Houston office, I immediately knew they were going to be a superstar team. Everyone in the office is kind, knowledgeable, and professional and they are just flat out great people! Dr. K first saw me back in March, and suggested that we start treating my severe allergies prior to tackling my deviated septum and other nose issues. I went through the allergy testing and learned I was allergic to EVERYTHING! haha but the team formulated my perfect blend of allergy drops and then I began feeling better and better as time went on. Sublingual Immunotherapy has clearly helped reduce my allergy symptoms to near zero and I feel GREAT now. Secondly, after getting my allergies in check, Dr. K felt that it was time to fix my nose issues. This required a turbinate reduction, balloon sinuplasty, and correction of my severely deviated septum. I decided to go under general anesthesia to complete the whole procedure and I can safely say, that it was 100% effective. I cannot remember the last time I breathed so freely. The surgery was definitely one of the best decisions of my life, and I sleep so much better at night with no snoring and fewer sleep disturbances at night (my partner loves this haha). I had heard horror stories about how the post op phase post nasal surgery could be extremely uncomfortable, yet that's the best part about Dr. K's recommendations. THERE WAS NO NASAL PACKING! I can honestly say that there was extremely minimal discomfort post surgery, and that I felt right back to normal in about 5 days. To be honest, only on days 3-4 post surgery did I feel any fatigue/minor discomfort. But the best part was the feeling of being able to breathe because there was no nasal packing. Overall, my experience with Dr. K and the Texas Sinus, Allergy, Snoring and Sleep Institute has been the BEST. I can safely say that they have been able to change my life for the best, and I would highly recommend their services to anyone in the Houston/Woodlands area!

Dr Patel didn't even know what was going on. As soon as she did, she fixed it. She was so kind. it's the customer service disconnect. That customer service wall... the answering service... i absolutely hate how disconnected people have become from the service they are receiving. Losing Main Street was the worst thing that could happen to customer service. HORRIFIC TREATMENT. 52 years old- Tonsillectomy A tonsillectomy is brutal at my age. The pain medication they prescribed was not in stock for two days during days 5 and 6 post-op, arguably the beginning of the most painful days. I broke into tears with the answering service because the staff never answers and did not respond back to me, as soon as I started crying, they hung up on me. Imagine cutting out parts of a person and hanging up on them because they are crying in pain. So here I am, day 2 in agony with a prescription that the pharmacy can't fulfill cuz they're out of stock and can't transfer because it's level 2. Absolutely uncaring, heartless people.
