Well I need to get something off my chest. We frequently order food from this restaurant, and without question, the food is excellent. What's starting to bother us is the attitude of the front person when we come to pick up our order. I don't expect her to do cartwheels when I walk in but gosh maybe a smile or thank you for the order even or have a nice day would be nice. after all being friendly isn't that hard. read more

I feel it's the best Chinese restaurant in the area of of Washington Township (Morris), Hackettstown, Port Murray, Mansfield, Washington Boro (Warren). It's a bit further for me to travel but worth it Good size portions, a quart is really a quart vs other places where a quart container when measured is less or the menu has not been updated. And they fill it to the brim. Tried various dishes over time like Chow Fun, Lo mein, chicken Hunan, chicken garlic, chicken szechuan, Mongolian beef, curry chicken, boneless rib. Best fast food Chinese place I've ever eaten at and that's saying a lot because Chinese food is a staple for NJ residents. Their wonton soup is fantastic because it's more of a chicken broth than a beef broth. Lady behind the counter is pretty cool and greets with a smile. It seems like a small family run place with the wife working the counter and the husband doing the cooking. But the wife definitely helps cook too. I see their kid(s) playing on their iPad every now and then while parents make a living. I respect their tight family comradeship. Anyways. I've eaten inside many times in the summer. They always bring the food to you, and the food is great. Wintertime is a different story. They keep the heat set low, probably because it's really hot where they are cooking but for me. It's too cold to eat inside especially when people are coming in and out to pick up and the door is opening and closing so often. I'm sure rent is super high like everywhere else in the corrupt dump democrat commie state so it's more about the cost then anything. In summation, I hope they never go out of business. We will lose a gem Chinese restaurant if they do. I'd recommend this place to everyone who lives around the area and to anyone passing through that might be looking for some chow. The Mcdumples in front blocks the view of the old A&P and the Chinese place, but it's there so stop in. read more

I order the mixed veggies with white rice, a pint of Wonton soup and couple of egg rolls. Long story short, the food was bland. The veggies were coarsely chopped and the mushrooms were quartered. They were wokedd in a oyster sauce. The soup was flavorful but the wontons were "Al Dente" weird texture for Asian cusine. Egg rolls also bland. read more

When we moved out this way 3 years ago we were happy to find a Chinese restaurant not too far from the house. And even better, the food has been consistently delicious. Even my son who lives in Long Island always comments on how good their food is. Thanks! read more

Average Chinese takeout. It's nothing special but since it's close by and not bad I continue to order from here.

Three points that cost this restaurant 3 stars: 1. When my boyfriend placed the order for delivery, the man who took the order was extremely curt and impatient. 2. When the delivery person got here, he explained that our 2 Dr. Pepper cans hadn't been added to the total and asked if my boyfriend could "add the cost to the tip." In my opinion, if you forget to add it after we had it on our order, the business should just cover the lost costs. 3. My chicken chow mein - see photo attached to this review. Only thing I ate from my entree was the fried rice. Even my boyfriend tasted it - it was borderline inedible. Is it just me, or is this not chow mein? And no, the noodles were not hiding at the bottom of the container. Other than that, the food came hot and quickly. And the fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, fried dumplings and egg rolls are on point. Just wish I would've been able to actually eat my chow mein. read more

Best Chinese food in the area. The food is consistently well prepared and the staff are extremely friendly. Their hot and sour soup is very spicy just the way that I like it. All of the food that I have ordered from here has been delicious and it has been ready promptly. As another reviewer has stated they do not deliver which is the only bad part of this take-out restaurant which I can say. Maybe they will offer delivery in the future... As a lifelong Chinese food enthusiast, I always look for the following: a great menu, fresh tasting, flavorful, non-greasy cuisine, and great customer service. This restaurant hits all 3! The staff is knowledgable, helpful, and so nice to deal with, the food is always tasty, fresh, and highly memorable, and I simply cannot go anywhere else. I have a love/hate relationship with this place. The food is absolutely amazing when it's fresh. However, I ordered lunch the other day, and the meat in the steam dumplings were greyish-white and tasteless. Usually it's brown and flavorful. You could also tell that the sweet and sour chicken was re-fried. Small pieces and extremely brown and crispy. I usually am in love with their egg rolls too and they just tasted off. The inconsistency makes me hesitant to order from there and when I do I'm always hoping it's one of their good nights. read more

This place looks extremely dirty. What's up with the filthy bathroom doors? Food is nothing to rave about. They also have a potential cockroach problem. How do I know? Look closely at all the excessive caulking that was done where the floor and walls meet throughout the entire perimeter. read more

Ordered delivery this past weekend and I would say it was just okay. We got chicken wings, General Tsaos combo platter and the spare ribs platter. I agree that this is the best Chinese food in the area. The sauces have flavor (they actually use fresh garlic and ginger!), vegetables are fresh and not overcooked, chicken always plentiful, all white meat, and tender, and most importantly, the food is not overly greasy. The food is consistently good, and the owners are super nice. If leftovers are appealing the next day, they did a good job. It is worth the 15 minute (each way) drive; versus saving time going to the other Chinese options in the area. NOTE: I understand what one reviewer was unhappy with---deep fried cashew chicken. I just got Kung Pao chicken that was deep fried; most other places just saute the chicken in the wok w/out breading and frying. That was disappointing. In the past I have had steamed veggies and chicken with brown sauce on the side, soup, dumplings, egg rolls, mu shu pork, chow mein; all very good.
