What a letdown. Purchased a Groupon for my stepmom for Mother's Day. I was excited to see decent reviews and Pam is right around the corner from my parents. They're busy people since they run their own business. The summer is their peak season so my stepmom wasn't able to use the gift certificate until months after. Long story short, from my initial interaction with Pam, she was very rude and curt. No warmth or empathy in her tone whatsoever. I asked her if she could provide a specific manicure--my stepmom prefers a gel nail built/sculpted on top of her real nail and Pam was incredibly short when I called to ask. She answered the phone as though I had woken her and then proceeded to cut me off and acted like I was such an inconveniece. Unfortunately I had already purchased the certificate out of excitement, hoping that I had found a new nail tech for my stepmom so it was too late to back out. My stepmom agreed with my assessment of the "business" and Pam after she had used the certificate. read more

Pam is AMAZING! I love it when I get me nails done with pam! I always get complements on my nails and I get ask "where do you get your nails done?" Sometimes I don't want to tell people because I want Pam to be my little secret! Pam knows her stuff and she uses the TOP OF THE LINE products! Pam has OVER 100 different colors and she even makes her own colors, and she is CND certified! Which means she has been trained in the proper technique to apply shellac! and Pam is just amazing, she is the BEST nail technician!! Go to pam for all you nail needs! P.S. How kind of Your Nail Gal Pam to respond to my review. However, she got a few things about me wrong that I'd like to correct. I am not a professional nail client. I'm a regular woman who gets monthly pedicures from an absolutely charming, competent and polite technician. She has never made faces at me, cursed at me, or indicated that I might break her equipment. She also works in a small space, however it is arranged so she and her clients are comfortable. Yes, I once wrote a series of articles for Nails Magazine, however, only one was about working with obese clients. I also wrote about hand treatments including plastic surgery, massage, clients with disabilities, luxury pedicure options, language barriers, and did salon reviews. When I was still able to work, I wrote on a number of subjects, including beauty, automotive, and more. I enjoyed my research and learned a lot. I never came to Pam with gels on my toes, nor did I ever ask her to remove gels that she didn't apply in the first place. She had a policy in place about gels and removals, and I respected that. Pam is certainly entitled to set up her salon space however she wishes...it IS her business. However, the pedicure throne is in a fixed position, and I fit on that, so her claim of being a contortionist is strange. She accused me of exceeding her chair's weight limit. Hmmm. I never mentioned my weight to her, nor did I weigh myself in her salon. Yes, I am fat. That's not easy to hide. And yes, bench style seating is awesome. However, I use pedicure thrones every month with no problem. If she was so concerned about her equipment, she could have asked me not to use it and suggested an alternative. Yes, I waited to write this review. I made notes after each visit, hoping to figure out what I could do to unleash this super tech that so many were swooning about. I dare say none of the beauty pros I work with now would consider me an undesirable client. True, my diabetes and severe arthritis might make me a challenge, but with open dialogue and common courtesy on both sides of the chair, issues are easily resolved. If Pam makes you happy and makes your nails gorgeous, then good for you. We all have choices. But if your experiences were more like mine, don't feel bad or embarrassed or think you did something wrong. There are plenty of nail techs out there who welcome clients who are differently abled. The tech I use now provides incredible, relaxing massage that makes me drool. Pam just made me sad and humiliated. read more

It was probably about a year ago that Pam did my nails. I had no idea she had a Yelp page, or I would have submitted a review earlier. She made me feel pretty bad about the state of my nails. I was there to get pretty nails and she just kept putting me down about the fact that my nails were so short. The nail job was fine, it wast just a very uncomfortable experience. I found Pam almost a year ago after searching for a professional who could provide quality services for my nails. She is the best! I was pleased that she provided me with the education that I needed to get my nails healthy and consider alternative options to acrylic without compromising length. Pam is an amazing artist and she is just fun to watch her create at each appointment. I love that I can send her a design picture before my appointment and she is always prepped to make my nails look the same! I get so many compliments on my nails but most of all I enjoy them and the services provided by Pam. She is a stellar professional! Dear Reviewers, I noticed a review hasn't been done here for a while since about 2015. I had recently had the pleasure of visiting this nail spa, due to a Groupon deal that was worth 45$ and only costed me 22$ for one shellac manicure. Before starting just note my nails were about 1/4 damage a little less than half of damage on them, it was due to just me not taking care of my nails and I tend to pick at the skin around my fingers and cuticle area. I'm not very good with nail terminology or how the proper way to treat them all I knew is my nails weren't in perfect condition. And Ms. Pam let me know that right away. I liked how honest she was and even told me how I couldn't get french on my nails since they were short. Which is true. I didn't feel like she was being mean or trying to talk down to me it was nice to hear how my nails are, and she really wanted the nails to look very beautiful. She assisted me in picking out good colors and I kept seeing all the nice nails she made on these fake nails so many designs all were very beautiful. I picked out a nice design color on the wall. It was black with topaz glitter. During my visit it was really warm and cozy in her spa, it's inside a beauty mall with all these other services. She also explained the difference between regular gel polish and this one called CND which is made for nails that are brittle and broken, like it's suppose to be easier on the nail not so harsh. It seems to be doing well so far and had this on for about a couple days. She did mention how since my nails are short that I might not have a good application of the shellac also because my skin touches my nail very tightly. She was warning me ahead in case I notice it doesn't last as long as normal shellac manicures. Before when I had gel manicures at any other place they use this polish called Gelish which is pretty popular you see it a lot in all these places, Pam was telling me those aren't normally suppose to be used on natural nails only acyrlic type nails. I had such a wonderful mani-pedi with Pam yesterday. She was very friendly and professional. She gave me the best pedicure I've ever had. When she did my shellac nails, she applied the product very carefully and made sure she got it on the tip and under the nail. She very carefully removed any from my cuticle. She advised me on how to take care of my nails, and even gave me a small bottle of an oil to use. I already have my next appointment booked. The room is compact but Pam has plenty of room to do her work. I have found my nail specialist from now on. read more

I have been a client of Pam's for several years now and won't go to anyone else. What I like - no, LOVE - about her is how gentle she is with my nails. She does NOT use a dremel tool to file my natural nails down like so many places do, and she doesn't hurt me! My nails are so thin, I have never understood why they need a machine to rough up a thin layer of my fragile nails (I mean REALLY - are your nails so tough that they need a machine?) She thinks about the products she uses and chooses products that will help natural nails be as strong and healthy as possible even when she's putting artificial nails on top of them. My experience has been that sometimes this choice may come at the expense of the rock hard durability of other products but I am also quite hard on my nails (I wash dishes, I use them to scrape things off the counter.....) so, yes, I have to go back for repairs more often than at the other places, but I'm OK w/ that - It's a trade off for gentler products and a gentle manicurist who does a fabulous job. read more

I've been in the area for about a year now and was frequenting a "strip mall" nail salon and was fed up with having to have my nails redone every week just to look presentable. The end product was good however the overall experience was not pleasant. I've NEVER been charged extra for having my old gel removed. What else can I say that hasn't already been said about the lovely Pam? She is FABULOUS! I am a relatively new customer (about 3 months) and I've had fantastic experiences each time. She does the most incredible nail art I've ever seen! I literally text her and say, "Pam, can you do so and so nail art?" and within minutes I get this reply: "Absolutely!" I texted the business to see if appointments were available for the following day. She said she had one opening, so I purchased a groupon and then confirmed that I would be there at that time. She then texted me and said that I had not dealt honestly with her and accused me of purchasing a groupon AFTER making the appointment; in other words, trying to cheat her. In reality, I had to check for openings because I'm only in town for one day. After I confirmed that a time was available, I purchased the groupon then texted her and told her I would be there at the time she said was available. I had a fantastic experience with Pam. I had a wonderful shellac manicure and pedicure a couple of days ago and it still looks great today! She sent me home with a bottle of solar oil which I have been faithfully using twice a day. My nails and cuticles already look better. It was really nice to have someone focus just on me and take their time. Her prices are higher (not by much) than your typical crowded (and sometimes dirty) nail salon, but it was worth it. Purchased a Groupon and have tried 3 times to make an appointment. Finally got an appointment time and told her I would like to schedule an appointment for a manicure and that I had a Groupon. She then proceeded to say in a very rude tone "uhhhh, a manicure is not the same thing as a shellac manicure". I asked her what the difference was and instead of educating me she treated me like I was an idiot. I ended up hanging up on her because I could not believe how rude she was and I did not want to give her my business. I could not imagine having to sit there having my nails done by this lady. ((and I'm very picky)) She was kind and greeted me with refreshments and a sweet voice! Even the atmosphere in her salon will let you get the pampering feel we all want.! I bought a deal through Yelp last summer and my experience mirrored that if Pamela's in her review. While I must admit my nails looked great, I have never felt so uncomfortable getting my nails done. I too asked about a shellac pedi (which I had requested when I made the appt.) and she asked like I was putting her out. She insisted it was a waste of money even after I stated I was going on vacation and planned to be very active outdoors. Guess what? Yup chipped nails after 3 days. She also yelled at me and threw my leg down when I involuntarily tensed up while being massaged. Excuse me for having reflexes. After following my long time nail tech from salon to salon, I too found Pam on Yelp. I have NEVER experienced such time and perfection in getting a manicure. I am on medication that destroy's the nails, yet Pam patiently attends to them and I always walk out with ten perfect fingers! The selection of polishes and fun adornments surpasses anything I have ever experienced before! If perhaps there is one down side, it's choosing a polish from the hundreds she has to select from. To the other comments, I wear shellac exclusively and in the past have had to pay extra for removal of product when seeing a tech for the first time. I HAVE NEVER IN ALL MY LIFE BEEN TREATED WITH SUCH DISRESPECT. A girl friend and I where running late to an appointment I had schedule with Pam via a voucher I was gifted bought on the living social network. I am terrible with directions (ill be the first to admit) but the reaction that followed was unacceptable. I work so much and never have the opportunity to treat myself to I what i thought would be a pleasurable experience turned out to be a nightmare for not only me, but for the girlfriend I brought along to check it out for herself. This big mean woman hunched over her pasta salad raising her voice about how I was late and why I didn't call or have a phone. Then proceeded to yell and call my friend out about why she had not called while standing and becoming more irate. It was very strange of the woman while we were doing our best to remain calm. Not hesitating to mention that we would be writing about this experience and that we don't have to waste any more of either one of our time. She proceeded to follow us practically to the door of the boutique until she met with another shop owner and loudly starting "gossiping" like a school child. So clearly she didn't have much else going on to turn us away. Not only did she lose my business, but that of my friends as well as everyone we come in contact with when it comes to services like this, or lack there of. Regardless, my boyfriend ended up writing a very strongly worded letter to the company that sold the voucher with a full refund and a promise that that particular voucher will be pulled. Now I come to see this new 50 for 75 or whatever and I remembered that I wanted to warn others about this mad woman. As soon as I entered, she made sure to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. she took time to ask me history about my nails, and educated me on the effects of different products I have used.
