This one month project has drawn out into four months. After interviewing seven contractors, I chose this company when my contractor, Aron, claimed to have experience with steam showers. Now, at four months in, Aron is claiming my work is complete even though the steam shower fails to work. Aron claimed the problem was related to programming the steam generator. I hired a contractor referred by the steam company to review the work and discovered that it was a total botch job. The team simply decided not to install a major component because it did not fit the space they created for it. They installed my digital remote above the steamhead ensuring that when it does eventually work, it will be destroyed right away. The circuit breaker was not updated to allow for the necessary amps to power the device. My shower now needs to be torn back apart to make these repairs and they are refusing to work with the team that actually knows how to install a steam shower. On top of it, they worked very messy and permanently damanged my hardwood floors. Supervisors do not show up to the project so it will drag on forever. There is damage throughout the unit. They are learning how to install a steam shower by practicing on my home. I was lied to repeatedly throughout the process. Sadly, I believe this has no other outlet besides a law suit. I met with Elly Azulay, project Manager on Sunday to get the estimated quote on my bathroom and laundry room remodeling. I was upset to find this sales person very aggressive and pushy during the 45 min meeting and conversation. He doesn't want to leave my house unless he wants to confirm the job. I found it very uncomfortable when he kept asking ny personal questions and unrelated questions about my remodeling. In the end, he told me that I am wasting his time to come out and do the measurement on Sunday if I cannot make up my mind to use his company. It is my first time to meet with Elly and found him so offensive and unprofessional. With that said, I won't recommend this company thru an online Home Advisor inquiry. Had a small bathroom remodel done and it was fantastic do decided to have new woodgrain vinyl flooring installed and some new carpeting and Elly Azulay was our manager again and once again a fantastic job. Estimate was three full days and they were done in two! Looks great and the clean up was perfect. We have been doing the upgrades to get our home ready to sell, but it looks so good now, if it wasn't for health issues we wouldn't sell. Thanks Elly for a great job and making it so easy. We needed to change the back yard for the new place we got In Woodland Hills . The project included light , electricity and landscaping. Their guys made sure to be on time and finished last week ( it was very hot in the valley ) A real professional company. They kept us in the loop were informative regards changing in the schedule and asked us many times how we like the results . They came twice to fix small damage to our satisfaction. read more

I contacted this contractor to do an estimate on my bathroom remodel/conversion. We scheduled it for Sunday at 10 AM. I maneuvered other contractors as to not interfere with Prime Home Improvement's sales pitch. So we were good to go. During the week, I received a call about it and through conversation, they found out I actually have a LOT of projects planned (yards, painting, patio, etc.). So they asked, "Can we move it to Sunday at 3 PM (after my last contractor appt.) so we can quote EVERYTHING for you." I said sure. Hey, worse case scenario, I have another quote to look at. Best case scenario, I have a one stop shop to do everything for me. Well, Sunday afternoon strolls around; literally a few hours before the appt., I am called and told that the estimator they wanted to bring out to price everything isn't available like they thought. So they want to reschedule for another day. Of course I'm not happy. I could have enjoyed the afternoon or scheduled other contractors instead of sitting around the house waiting for them. I said they can reschedule for next saturday. She requested Sunday. I declined because I already have plans/appts. that day. So now she needs to check if anyone is available and will get back to me. Looked forward to meeting them but this is a huge downer for me. If we do sit with them and things improve, I will update this review. But, right now, they are lucky to have 1 star. read more

Unless you have LOTS of time and are VERY flexible to THEIR schedule, I do NOT recommend calling this business. I first contacted them on 5/28 and had an appointment for Tuesday, June 1st, for a bathroom repair. 1. 1st appointment MISSED. Rescheduled for 6/8. I had to cancel due to family emergency & rescheduled for 6/11. 2. Got a call that morning that the estimator wouldn't be able to make it cuz he was held up on another job. 3. Rescheduled for after I returned from vacation. Scheduled for June 29. Got a call from company canceling yet again! 4. Rescheduled for another time that I don't have on my calender and the company called AGAIN to cancel, citing same issues with estimator! I told them we'd try one more time and if they canceled again, we'd move on. 5. Received a TEXT message, not even the courtesy of a phone call, tonight canceling. I replied we were moving on since our business didn't seem to be a priority to them! read more

I have dealt with other contractors before, but prime Home Improvement are my permanent contractors, for any future home remodeling projects I might have. Gil came along to give us a price for a new roof. First red flag was that both my wife and I had to be present. The second was when he poked his head into the attic to verify the integrity of the plywood. "Yep," he said, "it looks good" despite the fact that from where he was he could only see a fraction of it. Gil was very pleasant and we felt he was a really nice guy to work with. He showed us roofing samples, quoted a price for adding a layer of shingles and also a price for stripping the roof. After about 40 minutes or so, after presenting the quotes he asked us what our plans were. I told him that we'd need to get other estimates since it was a lot of money we were talking about. He insisted on asking again: "What are your plans?" I said again that we would be getting other estimates. He then insisted on setting up a 2nd appointment to finalise things. I asked what was the point of setting up a follow-up appointment until we had more estimates. At that point, Gil stood up, gathered his papers together and curtly told us that he couldn't do business with us--and promptly left. I did get an estimate from another company that turned out to be just over half of the Prime Home Improvement quote, so I saved several thousand dollars by doing so and got a really nice roof with additional vents (that PHI didn't suggest). Maybe I just got the wrong sales guy. A very nice lady from the company has since contacted me and apologised for what happened, insisting that that is not the way they do business (but I WAS offered a $200 gift card to remove my review--which I obviously declined). I had a leak in my bedroom due to the heavy rain this week. They came in day after I called and explained everything that was causing the leaking . They were able to repair the parts that were damaged and didn't need to replace the whole roof . I highly recommend them. read more

We bought a 1941 home and did a full interior rehab including moving walls around to dramatically reshape rooms, added a bathroom, new floors, full kitchen reno, etc. Gil and his crews are punctual, detailed, precise, creative and helpful. Gil helped us firm up our vision, achieve our objectives, and manage cost. The delivery of the work was excellent. Estimated time was 75 days (for a full gut!). We finished in 90 and that included some extra time to do additional work (like replacing ancient heat ducts while the ceiling was open). The work they have done on my kitchen was done faster than what I expected... the job really surprised me because they made it so easy and simple to understand what's going on. 5 different people worked on my kitchen. I communicated with them via the phone, they always returned my calls the same day. I love how efficiently they explained the process. When I contacted Prime, not only were they available to come by in the evening when my husband could be there with me, but they sent their specialist/designer Jenni to help us with ideas. I am a very visual person. Jenni was so amazing and helpful. She gave us such great ideas on the layout of our master bath and created a design that me and my husband can both agree upon. my husband got his tile shower, and I Finally get my bubble baths. I recommend asking for Jenni if you ever need someone to think outside the box. I am writing a second review to praise Joseph, who was in charge of my renovation, because there was a discrepancy with my yelp account and the first reviews validity was questioned and was removed. I would be devastated if Joseph was penalized and not given the credit due because of my clerical errors in updating my account. Joseph took this novice renovator through every step with amazing knowledge and true patience. He brought in a team that was organized, on time, hard working and concerned with leaving my house as clean and usable as possible every night. He was available throughout the entire process and clearly was the factor in this being a smooth, dare I say enjoyable renovation. Hired PHI in Oct 2016 to pour a new section to my driveway and to build a planter wall (this what PHI called it) fix a retainer wall crack, out come both walls were crooked, driveway concrete was not level PHI did a terrible job and the owner wanted us to pay them more $$ to fix their mistake!
