We hired Factor Roofing to replace the roof on our house and detached garage. Our roof was in terrible shape, and had quite a lot of damage to the wood under-layer. Factor Roofing replaced all of the damaged wood, and installed a beautiful new roof. I really appreciated their timely replies, efficient work, and helpful suggestions. I used Factor roofing for my house out in Whittier, CA after the recent, record-breaking storms in the Los Angeles area. Although we did have hiccups with scheduling and pricing at the beginning, the roof looks great so far and I know I have high expectations for all businesses I work with. Based on my experience, other contractors seem scammy, fail to volunteer information unless you specifically ask, and only give the bare minimum. Factor Roof stands out in being completely transparent at the outsight! I'm confident in trusting them. I would have to say having a leak is never pleasant during rain. Another one is searching for a contractor to come out and assess the situation in the rain. These are two things I faced during the last rainstorm we had in LA. I called around and finally landed at Factor Roofing and this is where things started to get better. I would have to say from the initial call, on-site assessment, estimate, Fix, and follow-up were 5-star. 1. Initial Call - They were cordial, kind, and actually listened to the described situation. It's just happy to know that someone is listening; which helps during a tense and unexpected roofing situation. 2. On-Site - They were able to come on the same day which was great! Even better is that they were able to provide a temporary fix right on the spot. 3. Estimate - I was able to get a complete and honest breakdown of the issue with photos, descriptions in a simple explanation. The estimate accounted included all of that and it was really fair price for the quality of service so far into the initial experience. What even more great is that I did not feel any pressure at all to use them after the estimate was given. 4. The mean was efficient, communicative, clean, and was true to their estimate to time to complete. I even got photos of the roof: before, during, and after the work was done. 5. I used this company for a extremely small repair... two shingles, turned out to be about 15 minutes of labor. The price was outrageous, but they were the only ones who provided a quote in a timely manner, and with rain on the way, I used them. The repair itself was fine. I can't tell where the missing shingles were. My advice is to get multiple quotes. This company will take advantage of you if given the opportunity. read more

The company came from Yelp app recommendation when I created a project on Yelp to fix my leaking roof. The owner, Vald, is very responsive. His team arrived next day to identify the problem, improperly installed valley. The prompt response and a reasonable quote compare to other companies from Yelp get them the job. Great value! Beat out 3 other roofers on Yelp. Only took one excellent roofer, Sergio, to strip off the old roofing (approx 25' X 13') including a section of the top plywood layer with three large holes (which was where the ceiling was leaking), obtain additional OSB board, cut it to fit snugly and nailed it into place. Then Sergio, (again by himself!) brought up all the roofing materials, cut and nailed all the new flashing, cut and nailed the large sheets of rubber pad sealant and then (again all by himself) rolled out and torched-down 4 rolls of cap sheet and finally nailed in two rows of shingles!!!!. All this in only one day and in 90F degree plus heat!!! (Fortunately, he took well deserved cool-down water and food brakes-had me worried he might get heat stroke!) Sergio told me he really likes his job and he has good bosses. The only suggestion is is that I would have been told in advance that a large trailer was being put in my drive way and that someone else would pick it up approximately 1.5 hours after Sergio had finished and left. read more
