Went here recently for a gel extension filling. I'll be honest, this is all new to me, I'm normally just a straight forward gel polish girl! But a very kind woman knew just what to do. I also wanted a design and she did a great job! Wasn't as fancy as the inspo image but I'm still so happy with how it turned out. The place was clean, simple, spacious, calm. Will definitely be returning!

The ladies who work there are nice but they keep cutting too much of my cuticle. I would bleed a little the first 2 times, but this time I bled a lot and my thumb now has to look like the photo attached. Only got $10 off.

I've been here a few times, and I gotta say your experience will heavily depend on who does your nails. Yesterday, I went in around opening and got a regular pedicure + gel manicure. I've done this combo of services at this spot in the past, and typically they weren't spectacular but they weren't horrible as so many places in BK tend to lean if you aren't friends with someone at the salon. Yesterday, the woman doing my nails made four of my cuticles bleed after I told her not to use the cuticle clipper. It still stings when I wash my hands under warm or hot water, and I think yesterday will be my last trip to this particular salon. It's different when you tell someone not to do something because you know your body, and they ignore you/ think they know better than you. The only person who knows better than I do about my body is my eyebrow lady, and still, she is all about consent. I tipped her because I've been a service worker and don't believe in economically punishing people when a service was, in fact, rendered. Maybe this review is more, "I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed" vibes cause I thought I found a gem at this spot and then I walked out with a bloody and crooked French mani. Like damn, I deadass told you not to put those clippers to my skin my guy! Not to mention the disparity between what she thought, and what I think is square-shaped. L-OH-L

You should request the most experienced technician, as not everyone is proficient in filing or applying nail polish. I'm unsure how I ended up with such a thick coat that transformed my nails into something resembling grandma's. After growing my nails for eight weeks, I simply wanted a square look, yet they're uneven in length and far from being straight. I don't even know what I needed to say during the session to fix the issues at hand.. plus the store markets having 20% discount on Monday-Friday 10-4 and this discount doesn't even apply to your nail polish choice (i.e. when you pay 10$ extra for the chrome look) wish I knew about this detail before choosing an added service.

I've been going here for a few months and I have had nothing but great things to say. However last time I can in, my manicurist forgot to soak my nails (I was getting a regular manicure). I only noticed after she was painfully pulling, tugging and digging at my cuticles with her tool. When I asked the manicurist why she didn't soak my nails, she told me the salon doesn't do this anymore. I was very polite and figured maybe this was just a new COVID procedure. Soon after, as I was drying, I saw that same manicurist soaking another customers nails during her manicure. I was really disappointed with my treatment and hope I don't have to stop visiting this salon due to inconsistent treatment.

I needed to get my nails done before going on vacation and went to Yelp to find the nail salon with the best reviews near me --this was the one! I walked in without an appointment and the ladies working there were very accommodating. I only had to wait 20 - 30 mins even though they appeared to be very busy for a weekday. I would definitely recommend making an appointment if you decide to go here as I feel like I got lucky they were able to take me as a walk in. I asked for color gel French nails and showed my nail technician a representative picture to guide here. She was able to replicate the picture almost exactly and even helped me pick out a new color for the tip when the first color I picked was too light to show up. My only complaint with this salon is that the gel seemed to peel/chip fairly early (after 1.5 weeks). I usually get powder to avoid this issue so I'm willing to give them another shot with a powder manicure and hopefully that will last longer. Prices were also fair for the area. I will definitely try this salon out again; however, just keep in mind the gel might not last super long. I'd recommend powder instead!

This place is insanely overpriced for what you get. I got a gel pedicure and it started chipping immediately and you can see through the one coat they put on. The nail technician barely did anything except paint my nails (which she did a real shit job at). Edit: See pic to see how nail polish peeled off in one piece after less than a week. Either this place swindled me and it wasn't gel or they applied it incorrectly. This was a $45 pedicure.

Used to love this neighbor hood nail spa since I moved to Bushwick, went to do a meni-pedi as usual but seems like today they are busy, and some customers waiting even they have an appointment. My technician did the worse job ever today! I came out with bleeding for the both part. Hope you guys gonna make it better.

Update: First round here a month ago didn't go well (purple nails) , but after leaving my initial review the shop owner reached out to me offering to fix them. By that time I had already had them removed so when I went in for the fix I ended up getting a whole new set at a discount ("natural" nails) The verdict: Much, much better than the first time! My techs were nice and the shop is cute and clean. Thank you very much for offering to fix my nails- greatly appreciated.

Disappointed. Last time I went they rushed me to leave and my pedicure wasn't even dry so it was ruined when I got home. I gave them another chance but this time, they gave me an attitude because I didn't have cash to tip, they changed their policy and now they only want cash for tips. The manicure was badly done I have polish all over my skin around my fingers and skin not cut. Looks like I did it myself. I won't be back.

    French tips

My new go to salon in Bushwick. My nails are natural so I usually just go for a regular manicure which is $15. My nail tech did my nails the exact shade I wanted. I'm very picky when it comes to nail salons but this is a great one. Service is great, everybody is super friendly. Try this salon if you haven't!

The workers are very nice. At first I thought I had finally found a good salon in the area but I was mistaken. 5 of my nails broke after 1 week and when I expressed how disappointed I was they did not care at all and said there was nothing they could do. I got one final manicure to give them a chance to make it right and this is what they gave me.This gel "French"manicure cost me $55 plus $15 tip making for $70 wasted. That was after finally agreeing to put the fake nail extensions on free of charge. Disappointing experiences and I love to support local small business.

This isn't to say don't go here but I wasn't too satisfied with how quickly my nails came/broke off. I went there and 3 days later two of my nails broke. One of them broke with me picking up my purse. I would say just be wary. Because $120 just to have your nails less than a week is pretty steep.

Sure - ok maybe just a website issue... so I emailed them and have not heard back for a week+. But then, on top of that... 2. I canceled before my billing date (a day or two before), and for some reason, it's locking me into this membership until THE END OF SEPTEMBER - TWO months from now. I will obviously be disputing this with my credit card company, but it's pretty sus to me that it takes a month to "process by cancellation request." I've checked my confirmation email and there is nothing about a membership cancellation notice. There is also a "processing fee" of $15 to get your membership set up, which I accepted when I bought the membership. Anyways, my advice is to use the services at Uni Wax, but be very careful about what you're signing up for because they are employing some pretty sketchy practices.

She asked intrusive questions and argued with my friend, while my friend was spread eagle and vulnerable on the table getting waxed. This is another example of terrible, uneducated white Europeans and Americans that just think they can say whatever they've been reading their whole lives, with zero consequence.
