I gave Your Way Moving a chance to earn my business and they exceeded my expectations. All the other moving companies I contacted only send out two men per truck, so that is the norm. Your Way Moving sends out two men and a truck, so I can't say anything is wrong with that, as it is the normal standard moving company practices. I had originally scheduled a moving date and I had to change it. I had no problems rescheduling for the next date with no cancellation or change fees. Your Way Moving even gave me two times a morning and evening time to accommodate me. I was able to get the moving date for the following day, the very next day which I thought was awesome as I know they were booked full and made it there business to assist me as much as possible. I had and original date to move and Peter expalined that he didnt have the truck I needed to move me and because of that it was his fault it was changed and he offered me a huge discount for the inconvenience. I mean for the price that I got this move and I went over 4 hours easily at least for our move he gave me a real great value deal. I have no complaints and I am sure he would have moved me on the date requested but I can't resist a discount. The value of this move was outstanding. I am so happy with my choice of moving companies. The movers did not damage any furniture, they had everything they needed to move me. The movers even went beyond what they should have probably done to make sure that we got moved safely as it was a bigger move than they expected. The movers even hauled some stuff away for us that we didn't want. I have no complaints about Your Way Moving. I will let you know that they moved us in a U-Haul truck and I'm sure this is to save on insurance and costs which they pass on to me. The movers worked continuously they didn't take a bunch of breaks, as a matter of fact I had to tell them to have some water and rest a bit. The movers never tried to milk the clock. The movers were even entertaining, they had us laughing with comedy and jokes great attitudes and you can tell they enjoy their work. Those two guys that came out, did an outstanding job. I can't remember their names, but man they were awesome two great young men, I mean they were in their thirties or so but these guys were wonderful, cheerful and had a great attitude. I talked to Peter Smith over there at Your Way Moving and he was awesome and had a great personality with a great attitude, and a very respectful person with great customer service skills. Even he went above and beyond to complete the job abd get us moved, told me I coukd move anytime of the day or night 24/7 I have nothing bad ever to say about Your Way Moving and when I move again I will be using them. read more

We hired Your Way Moving through a broker -- Allegiance Moving & Storage, so we really didn't have a choice on who our movers would be. They were a complete disaster! They didnt bring a large enough truck to accomodate all of our stuff, even though I spoke to someone at dispatch to tell them we had more stuff than originally planned and they said they were sending a full size truck so it would be no problem. They sent a box truck and we ended up having to rent an additiona Uhaul ourselves. They also told us that they would be driving our stuff directly from our house in IL to our new house in CO and it would take 2 days. My husband left to meet them in CO and they were 2 days late, causing him to miss Thanksgiving. When we asked what happened they said they took another job along the way. Upon arrival, they did not reassemble any furniture or put labelled boxes in the rooms they were supposed to be in. They left everything in the garage and basement, unassembled. My husband and I now have to move and assemble everything for our house, even though we PAID them to do it. And almost all of our furniture has scratches, dents and damage. This moving company was contracted by another moving company that we hired. We were assured by the original moving company that two trucks would be sent to carry our things. Not only did this contracted company refuse to send two trucks on the same day, but they blew us off time and again as we tried to work with them over the course of several days to get another truck even though they were going to charge us an additional $6,000-$10,000 on top of what we already paid them which was thousands more than the original estimate. We were also told by the original company that a credit card would be accepted. The morning they arrived, they refused a card or personal check and would only begin working after we gave them cash or a certified check. We were also forced to hastily sign a document that was barely legible, but we were at their mercy as we had to vacate the home. The individuals actually packing our things did a fine job and were very friendly. My only complaint was that several of the boxes were labeled either phonetically or in what I imagine was either Croatian or Serbian. Some of them were Bosnian, so English was not their first language. I could make out the misspelled words and I certainly do not harbor any ill will towards them. It's just that this made it incredibly difficult to determine where the boxes needed to go once they were unloaded. I sincerely appreciated their work and made sure to thank them, bought them lunch and provided them with a all the bottled water they wanted throughout the day. The person we dealt with over the phone, however, was extremely unpleasant. He cursed at us, was incredibly rude, and unprofessional when we inquired about the delays and cancellations and why no one had contacted us. When we decided that we could no longer wait for the second truck, this same individual harassed us, but we had no choice. We no longer owned the home and were only able to stay a few extra days by the graces of the new owners. We eventually had to put the remaining items in storage at our expense and make a nearly 1600 mile round trip to drive there and back to our new home in an attempt to load the remaining items on a U-Haul we had to pay for which was an additional $1300. I'm not sure if this company genuinely thought they could fit everything from a 4700 sq ft house into one truck or if they deliberately attempted to sabotage us in order to extort more money. Hired this company to move my furniture from one house to another house on 6/4/16, the movers scratched up my walls and doors, left dirt and fingerprint marks on the walls and put a dent in the bottom of my refrigerator that WAS NOT THERE when I left my old house that morning. I called and spoke to Peter the manager and he said that his guys would be out on Thurs, 6/9 at 2pm to do repairs and no one showed up. I've filed a complaint with the BBB of MO/IL on this company. Also, the workers he hired did nothing but complain the entire time that they were moving stuff into the new house. We paid this company $600 for very poor and unprofessional services. PLEASE RUN NOW _ NIGHTMARE. They're scammers. The lead man was great, but his helper had no clue how to move. The last piece of furniture to move was my Duncan Phyfe mahogany china cabinet. Unbeknownst to me, they'd removed my Dallas movers' protective packing and shrink wrap. The cabinet is tall and wide. They tried one way. It didn't fit and banged into the door jam. Big chunks of wood are missing at the bottom right. They took it out to try again, and the glass door swung open. CRASH. Glass shattered everywhere. The lead man took a photo and sent it to PETER SMITH, the manager, who assured me the co. was bonded, insured and "would take care of it." I waited 3-4 weeks as Smith blamed the insurance company for not sending an adjuster. He then said co. would pay for it. He asked me to find a furniture repairman who could fix my china hutch. I can't finish unpacking until it's repaired. I got three bids checking with Smith every time. Once he had the cost and preferred vendor, he asked me to schedule the repairman, and his company would pay by credit card. Most self-employed folks don't take credit cards. I told him I doubted it, but checked back with her. She didn't. Smith then said I'd have to drive to one of their locations to pick up the money. This is a new town for me and an inappropriate request since the company damaged my furniture. I'm self-employed and have spent 10 hours already. Smith set time to come by last THUR. He NO SHOWED and DIDN'T CALL. When I call from my cell, it goes to straight voicemail. (As does my BFF who recommended him) I called him on my land line. He answered and hung up. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!! Your Way Moving is a horrible. They moved my elderly mother on 10/8/16 and damaged her freezer when they dropped it not once, but twice. It no longer works. When I called and spoke to Peter Smith, he assured me that they would turn the claim into their insurance company and that I would hear from them shortly. When I didn't hear from anyone, I called him again and now he's screening my calls and despite leaving 5-6 messages for him, he won't call me back. I'm appalled that they would do this to an 88 year old woman who is in poor health and living on a limited fixed income. I have filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau hoping for resolution. Plus, they tried to bill me $410 more than quoted at the end of the move. I pushed back and told them I was only going to pay the $840 we agreed upon; not the $1,250 they were trying to get.
