We booked day-of coordination with them about 6 months in advance, and in my original meeting with Stefanie she was very helpful and gave lots of ideas and suggestions we ended up using. I LOVE Stefanie!! She was my day of coordinator for my wedding in January of this year. She MADE my wedding. Cara was amazing!!! She eased my nerves the week of my wedding. Although not everything went as planned, it was still a great day! We had to go with a rain plan two days before my wedding which was totally a bummer. I am so grateful I had a hard working wedding planner there my wedding day. Cara is a very good listener and made sure she did everything possible to make the wedding run as smoothly as possible. The only downsides have been that I did loose a few of my things at the end of the night even though I provided an item list. I met with several different companies and I just couldn't quite find the perfect coordinator. But then, I met Stephanie and Cara! They both were so personable and fun. I knew at our first meeting I had to work with them. I just had a baby and I was MOH in my best friends wedding (the month before our wedding) needless to say, I was extremely tired. My husband and I just wanted a fun and relaxing weekend to celebrate our marriage. I didn't want to be bothered with all of the details that really go into a wedding. Most of my answers to wedding questions were "I don't care". I thought I was making it easy on everyone but our wedding party said it made it more difficult. Haha. Stefanie and YWYW are AH-MAZING!! They're the calm in the middle of the wedding planning storm! I live in houston and was planning my wedding in austin. i had booked my photographer and my venue. my venue was super cute, but did not come with anything except for a couple of chairs and tables. after wasting a lot of time on the internet trying to find and figure out all the other pieces i needed, i decided to hire a wedding planner. my mom found Your Wedding Your Way on yelp and i spoke with stefanie on the phone and immediately got along with her. One of the first things we did was set up an overall budget and then split that up between the various aspects of the wedding. During this process, she was very honest and let us know up front based on her experience with different vendors whether or not we would be able to find something in that particular budget and had suggestions on what we could cut back on if we did certain things ourselves to make the budget work. This budget conscious approach was great in keeping the wedding costs from skyrocketing out of control! We communicated often and I received updates from her weekly regarding what she had done and what decisions had to be made. Anytime I had a question, she was very patient and answered me promptly and made sure I understood before moving on. My mom had a lot of differing opinions about what we should do for the wedding and when she could tell I was stressing out, I especially appreciated Stefanie being a great mediator, acknolwedging my mom's input while reminding her about the budget and what I had voiced that I wanted to do. Stefanie suggested different vendors and we met with them. She was very encouraging and made sure I understood that if I was not completely satisfied with their impression, that was totally okay and we could look for more vendors. There was no limit to how many vendors we could look at, as long as in the end, I was not settling for a vendor I was not 100% sure about. On the day of, there were some logistical problems with our outside tables due to the strength of the wind and she was very calm when she told me and suggested a solution and cleared it with me before moving ahead with it. I was glad she didn't just present the problem without advice on how to solve it! We had 4 planners there to coordinate everything and they all had really cool CIA-style earpieces! Everything went SO SMOOTHLY and EVERYONE including myself and the groom had such a great time because we did not have to worry about pointing vendors in the right direction or cueing the DJ to play the processional or other details! I have had so many compliments on how fun and perfect the wedding was and I know it would not have been possible without Stefanie and Your Wedding Your Way! I worked with Stef and the YWYW gang last March, and I have to say it was one of the best experiences of my life. From the moment I met with Stef and had our walk through a month prior to the event, I felt like a huge weight was lifted from my shoulders. I literally could not have pieced together all of the puzzle pieces I had been working on for 7 months without her. Honestly, my wedding would have been sad had I not had Stefanie looking after the small details. In addition, I could not have asked for a better person to work with the day of. Stefanie was my Day-of-Coordinator. She was made to do this job. She has the absolute perfect personality and mind to be a wedding planner. I know I am sometimes impossible to please and expect way too much out of people...Hiring a coordinator was a bit scary for me. I was so afraid of "letting go" of the planning and trusting anyone else to execute the plans for my wedding day. Now that the wedding day has come and gone, I know that I made the best decision. I cannot imagine anyone else that would have done a better job that Stefanie...IN THIS WORLD!. She was calm, funny, sweet, and thoughtful throughout all of our discussions and meetings. Then came the wedding day... She was IN CHARGE like no other. She ran that ship and the entire day was seamless. If anything actually started to go wrong, I never noticed it. She and Kristin were incredible at making every single moment go not only as good as I wanted, but way better. There is no way I (or my parents..or my groom) would have been able to relax and enjoy the day without their help. If you think you can have family and friends help out with the things a planner would on the day of your wedding- you're crazy. Sure, they might help, but they probably have no experience and then they'll be angry they didn't get to drink as much and dance as much as they could have. I had the pleasure of attending by daughters wedding that was coordinated by Cara. I did not hire her as this was chosen by another family member. I had concerns way in advance about the parking at this venue and to things not being communicated by the coordinator my son missed the wedding due to trying to park cars as a courtesy since that had not been addressed like I asked. Also, my husband which is the brides step father was told to walk behind me in the procession down the isle. It was the most uncomfortable thing ever and I was asked by several guests why in the world was it done that way... Well because Cara said so! Don't get me wrong the wedding was beautiful and everything else turned out wonderful but when you have 2 family members feel out of place due to the coordinator not doing their job you cannot feel comfortable recommending them. read more

Stef and Lindsay were the best decision I made for my wedding. Their spreadsheets of every last detail made me drool during our consultation and they were always available to jump in and calm my wedding nerves. My first venue closed and Stef calmly walked me through all my options and even took the initiative to help me get my deposit back when we changed venues. It was so great to show up on the day of my wedding and not have to worry about a damn thing. All the decor was put out and people were all in the right spaces at the right times. There was a snafu with the catering where I was given food I was allergic to and Lindsay checked in to see what changes needed to be made to our timeline and what that meant for the rest of the evening. I would definitely recommend booking the late leave package because all our stuff magically (aka Lindsay) ended up in our car and we just got to drive off into the night. When I said we were working with YWYW, every single one of my vendors breathed a sigh of relief and said "You're in good hands." We worked with your wedding your way to plan our October wedding. My fiancé and I live in Washington, D.C. but planned our wedding in Austin at a friend's house. Stephanie was great about giving us advice that I really depended on being so far away and also not really into weddings as some brides are. We were pretty laid back but keen on certain aspects like having a photo booth and welcome drinks. They found us a slow motion photo booth that was so much fun and wonderful bartenders who were really flexible for us. In general, they did a great job about pushing hard for the things that were important to us and keeping us on track for the details that were less important but still needed attention. I would definitely recommend them, especially if you consider yourself to be a bride or groom who wants to plans great party that reflects you and your partner but feel overwhelmed by the craziness that tends to accompany all things wedding. read more

I hired Cara to coordinate the day of my wedding and at first I was hesitant about spending more money on my wedding. But I cannot express how much it was worth spending every penny! From the first day they took over the planning literally all of the stress that came with planning my own wedding was gone. Cara was beyond organized and on top of things and thought of details about my wedding day that I didn't even think of (and I am super creative and detail oriented!). I cannot tell you how many people came up to me the weekend of my wedding and talked about how amazing Cara and her staff were- yes that's right! Even my friends and family noticed how on top of things she was! Not to mention her hilarious and fun personality. She had my fiancee and I laughing the whole planning process and even the day of. I hired Stefanie from Your Wedding Your way for the day of coordination which really she starts working with you 1 month before and I am so glad I did! I am a OCD planner and like things a certain way but I knew that on the wedding day I couldn't do everything. Stefanie was a life saver! We talked about the wedding the month before so she was up to date on everything and talked to all my vendors for me it was great! All the little details and things I hadn't thought of Stefanie made sure to go over. For our rehearsal it was short and to the point which was awesome. Then came the wedding day and I was so nervous and I forgot about everything but I knew I was in good hands with Stefanie. She was there to make sure things like the corsages and boutonnieres were put on straight, that the cheesecake arrived on time, that my candles were turned on, that my dessert table was refilled, cut my cakes, passed out my dancing props, made sure that all the vendors were doing what they were supposed to. I was just so overwhelmed and so was my family but Stefanie was always there to save the day and keep things flowing. Little things that came up Stefanie was there to help smooth it over and help me keep my head straight. She was there when I needed her but not hovering over me at all which I loved. I seriously don't know how a bride handles a wedding without a professional coordinator because it's seriously a lot to handle and you don't truly know until you have been through one. When my daughter said she wanted a formal wedding with all the bells and whistles, I knew we need to hire a wedding planner to help us. Drum roll....after many interviews with Austin wedding planners, we found YWYW and Stefanie! My daughter's wedding was in May and it couldn't have gone any smoother. We hired YWYW for the last month of planning to help with all the loose ends. Stefanie had great suggestions to help with our planning--she's very organized and detailed in every way. She had experience with the venue we were using and the caterers. Everything was running smoothly. Then 3 days before the wedding, Stefanie had to put another wedding coordinator with us due to a serious medical issue. I was a little worried thinking no one could be as good as Stefanie, but I was wrong. Cara came in, took over the reigns and we all bonded immediately--she is fantastic! This is the most organized group of people I've been around in a long time and my daughter's wedding was completely stress free for all of us.
