Absolutely gorgeous handmade pieces, handcrafted from people in Guatemala. Much of the proceeds go to help neuter and spade dogs and cats there. My dad and sister go to key west ALOT and always visit this spot. My sister has so much things from them. I went for the first time today and just fell in love with the craftsmanship of the unique pieces and the aura of the shop. The service was so quick and the woman at the counter was so sweet. Honestly, during my stay, I felt a bit of place. Lots of stares and awkward interactions but not here! She was so welcoming and obviously passionate about the store she was working / running. I got a handmade silver cat ring and a handmade beaded bracelet (I paid 38, so yes a bit pricey, but I love handcrafted things). I'm also attaching photos of items that caught my eye! read more

Great customer service! Had a few bracelets and so the lady that we did on it was super nice. They have lovely jewelry in there.

The lady working the register was rude, entitled, and made comments about other customers (who were simply shopping) about how revealing their clothes were (this shop is literally on the marina where people are coming in with their swimsuits). Also, the cashier charged $10 more than the listed price and added her own tip before we had a chance to press 20%. She tipped herself quite generously too. read more

SUCH a fun and colorful store. A nice change from the seaside colors,which i also love. their beaded bracelets and anklets were a hit with me and would've purchased the hand painted panama hat, but we didn't go back in that areas the next day. so much to look at. great souvenirs and that area by the Historic Seaport is so much nice than the Mallory Square and Duval area. loads of great restaurants like the Conce Republic. A must see and shop store! We have bought there while in St Augustine earlier in the year and were happy to find the same store here in KW. They have fine hand painted items from Mexico as well as hand painted hats for women hand made bags and purses and many Dia de los muertos Halloween decorations. Went here this week to look around to find a bracelet since it seemed a cute store from the outside. Ultimately found what I wanted at a reasonable price, however it was annoying that as I walked into the store with my young son (who immediately started to want to sit on one of the stools for sale) the lady started to yell at him not to do so. I was about to tell him not to touch the merchandise (was already telling him), but he's six and a little stool was just his size. He was not out of control by any means. I loved this store! The beaded jewelry and small woven bags are very well made. I like that it is a fair trade shop. Of course I would be happier if the people who made these were paid more, but there is a lot that I do not know about their lives. I was treated politely and kindly. Everything is fair trade" After asking her what she means by fair trade she looked confused by my question and assured me that the people making the items are paid a living wage of $3 an hour. The sales women is rude but I'm happy with my over priced purchase. I'm glad $3 of my $35 purchase will go to pay a 'living wage'. read more

It's been here for 30 years in the historic seaport. There's public parking and it's across from conch republic. Lots of great Mayan jewelry and handmade backpacks.lots of items in a small store but it's worth the visit. read more

Very Beautiful collections of handmade ornaments and handicraft items were there made by Central Americans. Loved watching it .. bought few things too .. for my wife who wanted this hand painted pottery of a dolphin hanging wall ornament. I feel the prices are higher than the craftsmanship or what the native are actually making as a salary . I don't support the exploitation of the workers but compare to their country and what the artist really makes in comparison its more than what normal individuals make . So i will send 40 US dollars o an ornament if 3 US dollars puts food on the table for a family of three. Reducing prices would help to improve more customers though, then the quantity of the sales will improve the items sold at the higher price. read more

Today is March, 28. At 8pm, I and my friend walked into the store. This store is a crime. They hang ceramic animals on the door. As soon as my friend lightly touched the gecko, it fell off and was broken. How could ceramic be hung loosely on the door? It is a trick, it was designed to have customers break these ceramics and make them pay for these overpriced animals. Right after my friend dropped it, the sales lady told him you had to pay for it, $38. The way she reacted quickly mean that she knew it was gonna happen without any surprise. The lady was so rude and ripped off my friend. You should stay away from this store otherwise experience in this store will ruin your perfect evening/ vacation. read more

This place was amazing! I've been wanting a handmade backpack from Guatemala for so long & I was so surprised to find this shop on my last day here in the Ley West. Unfortunately when I got home I found a huge rip on my back pack I bought & I emailed Donna & she sent me a brand new one & I live all the way in California! Many other reviews don't do it Justice. I was beside myself about how I was treated in this store. The building is probably 100 square feet and has multiple cameras, yet the woman stares at you suspiciously the entire time you're in the store. I was here with my nieces and was only there to pay. At one point I received a facetime on my iPhone and pulled it out to check who it was. At that point the woman rudely interrupted me from across the store and told me no photos. Just for pulling out my phone?? I've received better customer appreciation in TSA lines and DMV's. The store is nice and interesting but management doesn't deserve to earn a penny from anyone. This store is a fabulous little hole-in-the-wall! It is located very near Sloppy Joe's. It sells fair trade beaded jewelry, bags, and trinkets from Guatemala and Mayan cultures. When I stopped in, they had wonderful beaded earrings for $15, rings for $4, a leopard print cuff for $20. Their prices were very reasonable and the shop owner was a hoot. After I bought a few things my friends went back the next day to make purchases of their own! read more

I went into this cute little shop to purchase some souvenirs and gifts for family members. I was having a hard time deciding which gift to purchase for my mother and wanted to send a few pics so she could pick out her gift. A pudgy little lady rudely told me no pictures. Unable to have my mother pick out her gift I left immediately. If you're in customer service yoU understand there is a right and a wrong way to talk to customers. I purchased a gorgeous overnight bag here 6 years ago and LOVED it. Came back for a clutch and headband. In my more recent trip here (2015) I stopped in twice. The first time the gentleman was very kind and thanked me for my review of the overnight bag. I didn't buy anything but came back tonight. The lady working tonight is exceptionally rude. She said twice that it was the end of her work day so I'm wondering if she's aware of her rude behavior. I purchased my items but was really put off by her. read more

The proprietress of this shop has a seriously un-Key West attitude! I walked in with my partner prior to a sunset cruise, we had some time to kill. Immediately, she told us that everything in the shop was hand made by genuine Mayans [define "genuine" please~?]. I saw a plain clock on the wall and jokingly said "Does that include the clock right there?" while smiling at her. "That's not for sale" She said. Then she added "That wasn't necessary..." I'll tell you what ma'am; Apparently in YOUR shop logic isn't necessary. Nor is humor, apparently. And finally, I decided your shop [with Chinese made goods....] wasn't necessary and as such I walked OUT. Do not shop there, she doesn't belong in Key West, which is a state of mind, not a location. read more

If I could give her a zero stars I would. This woman in the store was just plain obnoxious. At first she was friendly and offered us all kinds of information and history on how the bags were made etc while my friend and I were looking at her overly priced back pack type bags. They were beautiful and I liked them but just too much money. So we wandered over to her other bags that were neatly hung off the wall. She came back over and helped us shorties take the two bags down to check for size. Well once on her shoulder, it hung down to my friends knees As my friend was trying to decide if it was a good purchase or not, I casually mentioned that I bet she hates it when the big cruise ships come in and ... I didn't get the chance to say thaT the store would fill up and be super busy... she flipped out and became super defensive about how she liked everyone and then flipped again and went on to say that there were too many tourists on the island and that 80,000 were too many.... YIKES!!!! Well after her rant, we handed back her bag. We could hear her hufffing and puffing with disgust at us for living. We got outa there really fast. It sure gave us a bad taste in our mouths... her bad temper sure does not belong in public....if you want to lighten your pocket book quickly and take her abuse, go and see for yourself... who knows she might like you if you have deep pockets. I am from Binghamton, N.Y. I have been lucky enough to have visited Key West twice. The first visit, I found Yours and Mayan. It was suddenly my favorite store. They have the most amazing silver jewelry !!! When I found I was going back to Key West, Yours and Mayan was a must go to for me. I have found both visits the most amazing silver bracelets (one a gift for my older sister, she loves it) and earrings. Affordable and beautiful, my kind of store ! My Mother also found a beautiful beaded hummingbird key chain that she loves. We will absolutely be stopping again if we ever get back to Key West !!! read more
