I have enrolled 3 Grandchildren at different times at Youth Music I have only one word WONDERFUL opportunity and the best staff.

Not sure how or why parents are so enamored by this place, sure its not that expensive but my kid has gone here for like 4 full term classes and has not improved at all. This does not seem like real lessons but just some feel good money pit where parents and staff couldnt care less about the kids actually learning to play and read music. Ive seen no improvement in my kids instrument or talent, hes actually gotten worse being here than where he was before. This will be his last term at this place, im seriously unsure how or why so many parents are duped into continuing paying for their children to go here, it is a waste of time and money. Im sorry but this place is a total joke, if you are considering it, pay the extra money for private lessons from someone else. read more

So many teachers, so it seems easy to accommodate any schedule. The prices are fair (much more fair than the Bay Area prices my family and I are used to). The facility is huge! The first time coming here, it felt like a super fun maze like museum. The music art all over the walls are beautiful!! Because there are so many teachers, you can also find many, many different teachers teaching many, many different instruments. Don't like your teacher, (I can't imagine that) but you can switch to another one until you find the right one. However, the people who coordinate the classes will ask you questions about your child in order to pair them with the best possible teacher. Beautiful facility, awesome flexibility with time and teachers, and close to good restaurants if you like to dine out after. :) read more

I've sent my kid there for a couple of the summer camps and group lessons during the school year. I'm quite happy with it - he learns a lot and loves being there. +1 As a single dad, I really appreciate the sliding scale YMP offers. The new building is coming along well, too! read more

As a supporter of the Youth Music Project, I have seen students flourish while learning music. Students are encouraged to explore what music means to them alongside caring and highly skilled instructors. Every instructor goes through a strict background check before becoming a teacher at YMP. As a parent myself, this puts me more at ease knowing my child is under good supervision. Students learn rock, pop and country music styles, playing either guitar, piano or drums. Attending the performances was awesome! The kids performed songs from Ozzy's "Crazy Train" to One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful". The kids seemed so proud of what they had accomplished and seemed excited to talk to their adoring fans after their show. I would recommend this program to any student who is interested in music and performing. read more

My son is loving his keyboard lessons here. The space is artistically inspiring, the class sizes are small and the teachers seem to be happy here. Note that parking is difficult so it's best to arrive early! read more

My kids have been doing music here for over a year, My son even attended a week of summer camp with no problems that have been told to me. Until today the assistant director called me and told me that my son couldn't attend next week and could possibly be kicked out for lifting up his shirt and touching his Tummy, I asked the person who was with my son and she said all he was doing is touching his tummy. My son is in the process of being diagnosed with Autism and they are Judging him on his first out burst at this place. All he was doing is paying outside the door of another lesson witch normally doesn't happen and lifting his shirt. I'm waiting on the director to call me back and will update if anything changes but I feel as though they are discriminating against my son. read more

Youth Music Project is a great program! They are really turning that space into something cool - They have added dance classes and a performance hall. I'm looking forward to when the restaurant gets going. read more

Finally affordable music lessons in my area! I have always wanted to have my kids in music but couldn't justify the monthly costs. I feel like Youth Music Project is priced very fairly and word on the street is they discount for those who qualify. The staff is patient and knowledgeable and my seven year old loves that she is learning to play Taylor Swift. My seven year old daughter is going on her third session of piano and has learned so much it blows my mind! My ten year old son is starting piano next session! They have an affordable rent to own instrument program so we have had a keyboard at home since the beginning and soon with my installment each session, it will be ours. It doesn't get easier.
