Being a new face, they always put you with the most inexperienced nail technician. In this instance, this was the case with me. The lady doing my nails did not know how to shape the nails. She even told me she did not know how to shape the nails the way I wanted them. The acrylic, was put on my nails so thin that I might as well had gotten a manicure. I had to go to another salon so that they could fix my nails. I will never go back to this location it was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. read more

I have been going to Annie for almost 10 years (since her days at a Bethesda salon)! She is absolutely amazing and the best!!! So awesome that I had to support her new business and now drive from Bethesda every 2 weeks (roundtrip about 1 hr) to get my nails done with perfection! The neighborhood is great and there is a 24-hr Dunkin' Donuts right next door!!! Also, make sure you make an appointment prior to going. Just came from doing my eyebrows from here and I am very upset, if you come to get your eyebrows done here make sure only Annie Or Tracy do your eyebrows and not that other Chinese lady. I had grown out my eyebrows for 2 months since they tend to grow out un evenly and they were extremely bushy and i literally left that place with almost NO EYEBROWS! Unacceptable!! The only reason why I've giving 1 more than 1 star is because Tracy fixed and finished my nails. I went to get a fill in and pedicure. When I sat on the pedicure chair, I had to ask 4 times for the water to be hotter. While the tech was doing my pedicure, he phone rang...she answered t with the gloves she was wearing and then proceeded touch my feet. I asked if she could either remove her gloves or not answer her phone. She didn't respond, but when her phone rang again, she removed the gloves. My toe nail polish looks terrible, and I didn't notice until I got home because the lighting wasn't the best. She then started my fill in. I told her that I didn't want the acrylic to be thick, she said ok. As I watched, she applied the acrylic very thick as tho I was getting a full set. I asked her why and she said ok. I began to wonder what was rally going on. I asked her why she was applying the acrylic so think again and she called an Asian lady over. I explained the issue and the Asian lady said the tech doesn't speak English and you have to say "don't do her nail thick" in a certain kind of way so she understands. The Asian lady proceeded to say "she doesn't like her nails thick" although I had said the same thing. I asked if she doesn't speak English, how can I let her know how I like my nails? She had no answer but told me that once she finishes my nails, I'd like them. The tech continued to do my nails and I told the Asian lady to tell her that I want my nails the same length and the same shape...not much to ask, right?! When I continued to express my dislike the tech jumped up and walked off, signaling for the Audi an lady to fix my nails. I wondered why she had an attitude when she didn't even speak English. Nevertheless, the Asian lady started to do my nails. I told her that I wanted my nails the same length and the same shape. She told me I was complaining and that she's never had anyone complain about their nails the way I had been complaining. She said she was not a machine and she's not perfect, also that my nails would not be 100% the way I want them. I asked her if they would still charge me 100% of the cost. She said yes. I continued to tell her that my nails were different lengths and shapes. She told me (with an attitude) that if I wasn't satisfied that I would only have to oh for my pedicure and that she didn't want to talk about it anymore. I got up and requested that someone else do my nails. I couldn't walk out of the shop with my nails half done and misshapen...I had a date later that evening. Finally, I met Tracy. She made sure to ask me what I wanted and how I liked my nails (not unlikely at a nail shop). And she did a great job. If I EVER go back, I will only see Tracy. Second time coming here. And only come for the $25 mani/pedi. For the regular job, get Tracy or Annie (?) they do decent work. However it's all lackluster. Haven't had such a bad massage and scrub. I think they assume that due to the cheap price they can skimp on that part of the service. For my second visit I never even got lotion on my legs during the pedicure. The shop itself had children there of a guest which I guess isn't there issue but should be controlled. Really hate that my time of relaxation is interrupted by screaming children. So I called to get an eyelash appointment with Tracy and I learn that she doesn't set appointments and to arrive from 11-11:30am. When I get here at 10:45 she is not here yet however she does have a client waiting for her. So as I am aware of that I ask another technician to do my eyebrows and nails. As I am waiting in the back to get my eyebrows done I hear two little Hispanic girls come in and they want an acrylic full set and the same lady who is about to start on my eyebrows and says she going to do my nails tell them "I will do for you now!" I'm in the chair like how can u do my nails and there's big mistake. So she instantly does the two little girls nails and hand me over to someone else. At this time Tracy comes in and disregards her first client to put tips on one of the Hispanic girls Nails. I'm like WTF is this such bad customer service. Are they that pressed for a $$$. So 15-20 min later she starts on her first client that was waiting before I came. Now that I'm done with getting my gel manicure, Tracy tells me that I have to wait an additional 20 min. I let her have it. I told her that it is ridiculous that two little Hispanic girls can get precedent over your clients that are already her and your wasting my time. I am 5 months pregnant and I have my ten year old with me. DO NOT COME HERE. TRACY DOES NOT SET APPOINTMENTS AND THEY TOSS YOU AROUND LIKE A RAGDOLL!!! read more

This was the worst salon I've ever been to in ALL of my life. I've been getting gel sets for YEARS and NEVER experienced this. A week ago I got a fill, pedicure, and eyebrow wax. My eyebrows were too thin after I asked for a clean up. Then hours after leaving the shop, two toe nail polishes peeled off. The next day I lost ANOTHER one. The day after that I lost a nail. Completely lifted off. I came back the next day to get the nails fixed. Not even two days later , peels off again. Everyone knows when you get GEL on you toes. It last almost a month and you have to use a tool to get the polish off. So at this point I'm livid. I call and complain they said to come in and I told them I would be there in 10 minutes. With everything that has happened I expected them to be more eager to resolve this issue and offer great customer service. Well of course that didn't happen. After looking at my already lifting nails for 5 seconds. She told me to wait in th waiting area and continued to take two more clients. I wrote all of this while sitting in the waiting rooms.
