But not here, she used a prescription pain cream I had absolutely no pain. She put in the cream then i thought i had to wait 30 minutes or so but nope she got right to it In 15 minutes i was done ! That alone says so much about her work. Crystal is probably one of the most knowledgeable brow artists I've ever worked with. She was so patient and really took her time mapping out my brows. I loved that she actually cared about my opinion and didn't mind critiques or adjustments. She had me look at the mapping, and if I felt like a line needed to move up or over, she would take the time to look at it and redraw it. Honestly, though, the lines she mapped out already looked 100!! Her studio is also so clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. I love the modern vibe, the music, and how seriously she takes cleanliness and COVID-19 safety. You can really tell she cares about creating a comfortable and professional environment for her clients. And let me tell you...I am PICKY when it comes to my brows. Meaning I wanted them to look like hair, not necessarily filled like make up. However, I have always been very self conscious about my eyebrows since I was a teenager. To the point I would spend the longest with my brows drawing each stroke of hair when doing my make up. I am so happy that I came to see Katelyn. I came upon her Instagram and saw her work through her posts. Not only is Katelyn an artist, she also provides so much information regarding the work she does. I honestly could not find a single post where I didn't like her work. So I decided to put any hesitation aside and go see her. She suggested we do nano because of how natural I wanted my brows to look. Katelyn took time mapping with me, listening to what I liked and disliked. She made sure that I was happy, but also reassured me and answered any questions I had before we took the next step. Her hands are light as a feather. I personally felt like it was not painful at all (but I have had tattoos before). I could've done the whole thing without any numbing. Her facility is small and clean but seriously almost like a med lab - everything is lined, and tossed away after using on the customer. On your first appointment, she measures and pencils in her recommendations, but will always ask for your input, and until both of you agree on the shape - she will not start the process until agreement. The first time I went, I was in a lot of pain - not because she wasn't gentle or no numbing creme, but for some reason, I'm super sensitive and have a lot of nerve endings on my brows. However, the results were so worth it. OMG. I love them. I took care of them - but at least I know I have a follow up. She has a day to day recovery and expectations for your brows. She gets it and understands getting permanent make up. The second/follow up time, she tried a new numbing cream. A slight drawback, it was 30 minutes to set in. So when she went in, it was like how "most" people describe it, similar to tweezing/threading. I was super comfortable this time around and didn't think I was dying. Highly recommended. I eventually had them laser removed, though not completely. On top of that, my left eyebrow naturally sits higher than my right, so I wasn't sure how everything would turn out or what color would suit me best.
