TERRIBLE customer service. Freight sits there for a week before being forwarded to destination terminal for delivery. Called and no one answers the phone or returns messages. Call YRC corporate and even THEY couldn't get ahold of anyone. In this day and age of technology why is that? Tired of big companies charging extra for "expedited" and "gauranteed" by such and such date, not delivering then blaming Covid AND NOT willing to refund the extra charge. #EXTORTION And I am NOT just referring to one incident. Never use YRC! We shipped 5 pallets with them. They picked up from our warehouse on 10-14-2020 and the load is still on a trailer in Bloomington as of 10-26-2020. AVOID!!! AVOID!!! AVOID!!! The absolute worst possible example of a company period. Never received a phone call to set up a shipping time, although they claimed they called multiple times. I verified the correct phone number with them. Nope, you NEVER called. I had to call them, they never called me. I told them it was being delivered to a business that closed at 5pm, they said okay. Come to find out they attempted 2 deliveries after 5pm, for some reason still thinking it was a residence. Finally, 3 phone calls later, I had to come down to the physical location and pick it up myself. So, I write this 1 star review (not that they even deserve that 1 star) sitting here in the will-call area (go through the fire fighter entrance gate, yes that one), being told that it's going to take 2 HOURS for them to go pull my package off their dock. My...blood...is...boiling. Good grief, no wonder people resort to violence. This company will drive you to it if you lack the self control. I'm *barely* there. NEVER use yrc. NEVER EVER. YRC is a subordinate company to Yellow Freight. When shipping from the east coast to California, they use rail. It ends up in Bloomington CA, 6 miles from my desk. While their brokers will show a 5 day delivery for the premium dollars you spend, you can count on up to 2 to 3 weeks to finally receive your material. The excuse is always the same day after day. Their online tracking is never updated with actual stats on the shipment. Picking up at the yard is not an option considering it's 9,000 lbs and 8 = 48x48x48 pallets. Plus they will charge you an extra fee to finish the job you hired them to do. Our company has now banned any Yellow freight family of companies from carrying our freight going forward. read more

I give zero if I had my way. I ordered 2 couches from overstock.com on Mar 1st, promised delivery was Mar 9th. Recieved verification and told Delivery would be 11th thru 22nd. Upon receiving first email from shipper I changed phone number to my son's cell since he was going to be here. I still got texts from Overstock and shipping company . No voice messages to my cell EVER More texts from Overstock saying delivery on 11th, THEN 12th, then 14th , then 22, then back to 12th. So today I called said where are they?? Well we can't deliver until 17th. Lazy , lying ass shipping company. I even offered to drive over n puck them up! The other orders came UPS 2DAYS AFTER I ORDERED THEM. SCREW THIS COMPANY THEY DID SAME TO ME AT ARIZONA HOUSE . HELD UP N DICKED US AROUBD FOR 4 MONTGS TO GET MY 2-SPLIT AC SYSTEMS . HELD THEM IN WAREHOUSE. LIED MULTIPLE TIMES. These people are extortionists. Their website claims on time, dependable service but with the caveat that service interruptions will not be reimbursed. Contradictory? I have been communicating with them for a week about a shipment that has been en route for 15 Days. Every person I speak to gives me a different answer with no solution. This carrier is awful. Our packaged was picked up from our supplier a day late. Held up for weather delays. Then when we called the following Friday at 4pm looking for our package they informed us the driver was 'out of hours' and it would be delivered the next business day. When called the next business day at 2pm we were told our packages were on a broken down truck, in the shop and would not be delivered until the next day. Not ONCE did anyone call or update the packaged status and when told this was unacceptable they said there was nothing they could do. I am livid! I've tried calling our direct hub and EVERY extension goes to a voicemail. Not acceptable business practices. read more

These people do not deliver shipments. They arrive at their Bloomington facility and it just sits there for weeks. Call them? Wait times on the phone are always an hour no matter when you call, and they always tell you the same thing that it will delivered soon but it isn't. It is pathetic. This is the worst company ever! We were supposed to take delivery today and we received numerous emails confirm the delivery! We call at 4:05 to see if they are running late and are told that all of the drivers are out and we will not get delivery today and to call back tomorrow. We ask to speak to a supervisor and it is now 4:35 and are told that we will not speak with supervisor and Gail is talking to the dispatcher. We spoke to Anna and she transferred us to a supervisor! Absolutely horrid customer service. It has taken nearly two weeks to get a shipment delivered from Sacramento, CA to Riverside, CA. Finally, they have an available day and need someone available between 9am to 5pm which I accommodated! They never even showed up! When you call their customer service they said I should be grateful that I could be at home all day to do laundry, dishes and more!!! You cannot make this garbage up!!! read more

Wish I could have given 0 stars The most incompetent company I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. How difficult should it be to pay for a machinery shipment and have it delivered in a reasonable amount of time....(Forget their tracking information, it just isn't accurate) and undamaged? Having spent hours chatting with their 'live chat' trying to get my shipment delivered (I even agreed to drive the 60+ miles to their depot to pick up the shipment) We ship and receive several times a week, and will never use YRC for anything, I will also insist the my vendors do not use them, and if they do I will change suppliers YRC were on the brink of bankruptcy for a few years, I hope that they finally topple over the edge in to it sooner rather than later, the sooner companies like this go out of business the better for the end user. With an abundance of freight companies out there, why anybody would choose YRC is beyond me. People knock UPS,and Fedex, but they are streets ahead of these cowboys......Do yourself a favor and find somebody else, find a company who values your business. I ended up driving up to their depot (60 miles away) and picking the shipment up myself, this in itself was a problem for the incompetent dispatcher who had to get help from his supervisor before allowing me to get it............How do these chumps get and more interestingly keep a job? read more

I have received phone calls from the number associated with this company. The VM they leave say something regarding "we have work for you." I am on the Do Not Call list and I have not done business with this company in the past 18 months, meaning that their calls to me are illegal. After reading the reviews, I suspect that this company is now trying underhanded, dubious, and illegal means of recruiting drivers. YRC freight is a major joke. We ordered tile from Home Depot, the tile company is Merola Tile of New Jersey and they use YRC Freight as the carrier. This has been going on now for a month. If it's a residential delivery - your a second class customer - they are supposed to call you and schedule a delivery day and time - they did not do that with us we had to call them to take care of this problem and they are nothing but excuses. The tile is supposed to be delivered tomorrow between 9AM & 5PM - so tomorrow we sit here all day waiting? We'll see - updates to follow. read more

I am waiting for a recliner I purchased through Sears. I made this purchase over two weeks ago with a guaranteed delivery date of March 23!! I emailed customer service, I received a response stating the recliner will be delivered March 29th. It is now March 30 and no response!! I went on the YRC website and I am now tracking my package through YRC. The website emailed me and informed me the recliner is in Bloomington California- (what the heck is it doing in Bloomingdale CA) and that was all the information I received!!!! No delivery date--no nothing!!! I AM EXTREMELY UPSET THAT I MUST WASTE MY TIME DEALING WITH THIS SITUATION!!! (A note to SEARS: I am a long time customer and IF I decide to do business with you again, do not use this shipping company!!
