The use of traditional elements, paper-cut window designs, red Spring Festival couplets, old-style newspaper wall coverings, and exposed brick adds a strong sense of nostalgia. It feels immersive and intentional, almost like stepping into a countryside home in Dongbei rather than a typical restaurant. The décor isn't fancy, but it's rich in cultural detail and warmth, perfectly matching the hearty, comforting style of Northeast Chinese cuisine. The space is unique and perfect for taking photos. The food here is very generous. We ordered the 4-person set with two side pots. Tomato Braised Beef Brisket and Chicken Stewed with Mushrooms and the portions were huge. Both pots arrived steaming hot and filled to the brim, clearly meant for sharing. The braised beef was rich and hearty, while the chicken pot was comforting and full of flavor, making it perfect for group dining or cold weather meals. Combined with the rustic, traditional décor, it really feels like authentic Northeast Chinese comfort food. The food and atmosphere were excellent, though the service was a bit lacking. Prices are reasonable for the generous portion sizes and the unique restaurant décor.

One waitress and owner himself serving at dinner time on Sunday. The quality of food is consistent and worth the price. The usual dish I order everytime is pork belly that hangs on a cute wooden stack. There's a new menu item this time that we came around, which is the seafood mixed plate. It comes in three different sizes. We ordered the medium size that came with so much food, all of us felt like we came out of dinner from a seafood all you can eat experience.

The use of peppercorn is spared, the emphasis are more on sour and spicy... sugar seldom used in the cooking process... so don't expect any sweet and sour item on the menu. The waitress here speak Mandarin and really helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. Shredded Potato Salad ($5.99) - Potato crispy and fresh... but lacking the spicy kick as compare to other places I been to Shaanxi Cold Steamed Noodle ($2.99) - The Noodle are the thicker and wider versions - again not spicy enough... and this is supposed to be a 2 chili dish - the dried tofu puffs has a really interesting texture... which I enjoyed Beef Noodles with Lanzhou Style Soup ($5.99) - The soup based is clear broth but has good flavours... - noodles though not hand pulled which is $1 extra has this nice, chewy texture and without that doughy taste.. - Beef is more like the preserved type... dried and chewy not the melt in the mouth tender - good value for the money! The portion is huge!! Note, the waitress recommended some of the Soup Filled Buns which is their specialities, might have to try those out... They are reasonable priced $4/6 but for 2 of us... if we ate 3 of those buns, we cannot eat anything else! No Lunch Specials but they are have 10% off Grand Opening discount!

The dark interior decor here set the mood of being in an ancient village. Each table & bench stall was filled when we visited for dinner with a youthful Asian crowd. Despite the wait, this was a good sign for an authentic group meal. We ordered a four dishes including a soup, two intensely spicy dishes and a sweet & sour pork which went down well with big bowls of rice. Their Szechuan boiled beef with bean sprouts ($27.99) came in a huge bowl of spicy aromatic red chili oil that helped enhance flavours of the poached beef strips. Shredded eel with green peppers ($29.99) was stir-fried in loads of chilli & peppercorns along with extremely hot long green peppers. Eel was nicely deboned but it's not a dish everyone can handle. To balance the meal, the large bowl of tomato egg drop soup ($13.99) was a simple yet nice reset between bites of the heavier dishes. Sweet & sour crispy pork strips ($23.99) had a pleasant crunch and the familiar tang that we all liked. This place is worth the hype. The portions were generous and fair for the menu prices and ordering multiple dishes to share was ideal. Service was prompt and frequently came to refill our water pitcher with a new one as we doused our spice-tingled tongues with water. There are many restaurants in this plaza making for a busy parking lot but this spot is one of the busiest. Skip it or hit it? Hit it if you're craving intense Szechuan flavours and can handle the heat.

Jackson took the time to make recommendations in both Mandarin and English. I was impressed. The decor is rustic, China in the olden days. The "wanted" posters were a fun touch. I would definitely come back to try more menu items!

Unlike the hands-on interactive grills fashionable elsewhere, here the kitchen tends the coals, and diners are freed to settle into conversation, raise a glass, and simply receive. The seasoning is the soul of the operation. Skewers arrive fragrant with cumin, chilli, and a practised hand that understands restraint as well as heat. Spice levels are accommodating, making the menu genuinely inclusive without diluting the kitchen's personality. Beyond the skewers, the broader menu leans into Sichuan sensibility, with portions calibrated for sharing: generous, intentional, best appreciated with company. Service is warm and unhurried. The staff carry a friendliness that feels sincere rather than scripted, and guests consistently leave in better spirits than when they arrived. The room itself has energy, drawing crowds even on midweek evenings, and the kitchen keeps pace admirably, turning out dishes with commendable speed. The restaurant was surrounded in tanks full of lobster, crab, seafood and then a ton of dry aged steaks. Definitely something you don't see in California. Clean and spacious. Service was what you would expect from a Chinese seafood restaurant. Overall the meal was good, for me and a few others at the table the star of the show was actually the fish. The lobster while impressive when they brought it out was not as flavorful as one would have expected. And same with the king crab legs - my favorite have been the ones I've had in SF. Was interesting to come and experience it but I wouldn't come back. I prefer quality food over an IG-moment.

The seafood is extraordinarily fresh--pulled straight from massive surrounding glass tanks--and prepared to absolute perfection with their signature Maggi sauce and garlic toppings. However, the major downside here is the notoriously slow and chaotic service. Due to the massive crowds, servers can be hard to flag down, orders take a long time to arrive, and the staff often feels rushed or inattentive. The fried dumplings were delicious but you have to be careful when you eat them. They are so juicy that it sprays out when you bite into them.
