Such a great salon! It is beautiful, in a great location and the employees are amazing! So Yohei was my stylist and he is so incredibly talented its awesome. I have very thick, wavy hair but it was so unhealthy! It was long and even though he cut off 4 inches it doesn't feel drastic or like he chopped my hair off! He cut it in a way that it's incredibly full and medium long and so healthy and shiny! I usually always get a keratin treatment when I get my hair done but this time I didn't get anything but a cut and style and this is actually the most healthy it's ever been! He did such an amazing job. The best thing is that he took me on way last minute on a Saturday! I called at about 3 pm and he was able to take me in on at 5 pm! And him and the amazing receptionist actually stayed on an hour later! If that's not great customer service than I don't know what is haha. So yes you guys definitely have to try out this fabulous salon for sure read more

Yes ! I love YUKA STYLE of course. I got hair cut by Takuji few weeks ago and I just got my hair color by Takuji. He used hoyu color and my hair came out so beautiful!!!! I absolutely LOVE my My hair color! My hair color was fading and turning orange from the beach and the sun. I really need to get it fix. Takuji did awesome tiny highlight as base to brighten up and put nice ash color on top. He did it so fast and smooth. This review is for two of the stylists. Dina dyed my hair a few weeks ago and it turned out amazing! She is great with color! I wanted something new other than my blondey brown hair. It has since faded as you can see in the pictures and I still love it :) Rose did a wash and a blow out and tested out a couple new products that I highly recommend! Just to calibrate, I have a rule of writing reviews only when I find an establishment to be out of the ordinary. It is highly unusual for me to be blown-away impressed by great service. I can proudly say, however, that Yohei and the staff at Yuka Style are - without a doubt - the best reason I can think of to enforce that rule and put pen to paper, writing my first review in over a year. As an asian male, I've struggled to find a good hair stylist for years, and upon moving to LA, I was both excited and apprehensive. I tried a few very disappointing salons and then I found Yohei at Yuka Style and I haven't gone anywhere else since then!!! First of all, Yohei is perfect!!! His ability to deftly navigate the contours of my extremely thick, dense and straight hair results in him producing a coiffure that is simultaneously familiar and exciting, trendy and timeless, sexy and sophisticated. Rose did an amazing job on my hair! The one thing I would say is that it's not necessary to put a client's hair or looks down just to play on our insecurities and make us come back. Literally, I know I have to "take care of my hair" and "get a trim more often" but I don't need to hear it a million times and feel pressured to come back. I scheduled an appointment here on a Friday afternoon and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The receptionist was wonderful - friendly, kind, genuine, and made me feel so welcome. I saw Yohei for a hair cut and style and he was absolutely fabulous. Very quick, efficient, and professional; he did exactly what I asked for and talked through the pros and cons of a big hairstyle change for me instead of just going with my half hearted suggestion. I was walking by with my pup and baby and just stuck my head in to ask about getting bangs. Jason not only invited me in, along with the lovely lady at the front desk, offered to let me bring in my pup, looked at photos I had on my phone of bang styles I liked and then within 20 mins- he gave me awesome eyebrow skimming face flattering bangs. With my 10 month old in my lap. It was rad, and I'm so grateful. Here's a shout out to Lisa, who fixed a D- haircut! Yuki had cut my hair for years, but went back to Tel Aviv, so I hadn't cut my hair in over a year. I finally broke down and on a lark, went to my local beauty salon and had their stand-in cut my hair. It was a disaster, even after I went back and asked him to fix it. (He had cut the second layer almost straight across, with little to no blending. Who does that?) I had little faith in going to someone new, but couldn't live with the cut another day. (You know what I mean, right?) Lisa heard me out, sat me down and worked some magic. I can honestly say, it's the best cut I've ever had. So grateful! read more

Unfortunately I was very disappointed with Yuka style salon, not only did my hair turn out horrible, but the overall experience was horrible as well. Went to Yuka for hair and makeup as part of a bridal party... Started the morning out at 7:00a, which is what time they were supposed to meet us at the hotel where we were all staying, only to find out that that they changed there mind last minute, and we now had to meet them at their salon, which was about 45 minutes away. Which meant we also needed to find transportation for this unplanned adventure, since most of of were from out of town. Not only did they leave us with no choice but to travel to them being it was the morning of the wedding, they had also originally told the bride & groom that they weren't going to charge for the services in exchange for advertisement and exposure of their salon, and ended up charging for their services... Again, the morning of the wedding leaving us no choice. Sadly, not only was my morning a disaster, but so was my hair. After having it re-done a second time, while still in the salon, it fell and looked horrible throughout the entire wedding. The bride and the other bridesmaids were just as unhappy. Even watched one of the bridemaids take a towel, and remove her makeup as we drove away from the salon. Turns out the makeup "artist" was self taught, and only had experience with hair. read more

Can't get over what of a gem of studio this is! They use Oribe to wash your hair! No other studio does that. Not only that, very welcoming and comforting. I honestly felt like a million bucks after my blowout. The girls are the Sweetest and they left my hair super super shiny. Unbelievably good. I had bombshell hair, it took less than an hour even though I have a crazy amount of extensions in my hair. And the manager is so sweet. This is a fairly new place - definitely go!! My hair was such a mess when I walked in. When I left, it was perfectly clean, blow dried straight and even finished with a flat iron. I am sure all the stylists are good, but I saw Rose - who was truly taking pride in her work. (Unlike my last experience at another place I reviewed) The manager ( Selina? sorry if I got that wrong) was also so supportive. Also they have a great deal - $100 for UNLIMITED blow drys for a month. Match that anyone? Yep go see Rose at Yuka - just down from The Abbey in West Hollywood.
