Couldn't even melt the cream or cheese.

If I could give a 0, I would. We were here for a private dinner party..... horrible service, non existent. Food was nearly cold. Charred but rare steaks. Under and over cooked shrimp. Tasteless. Oh and top top it off, there was butter and..... crackers? I honestly thought there would be bread during the wait. We waited nearly 2.5hrs for the food, 45m for drink refills....

This was our 3rd visit. It was good as usual. Great service & great food. It's nice & quiet so you can carry on a conversation. Great Caesar salad that you can have anchovies added. Highly recommend the brandy ice for dessert. Wish I would have taken pictures of them.

Was invited to have dinner at Junior's and the invitation was billed as "come eat at a restaurant that's been in OKC for over 40 years!". Was surprised I'd never heard of the place being an OKC native until I tried finding it and then realized why. The sign is easy enough to see from NW Expressway, but then you have to go in a below ground parking garage to actually get to the place which I missed the first time around. Once you get inside, you realize that this is not a restaurant experience you get to have every day - the lush red accents and wallpaper make you feel like you've gone back in time to a bygone era. Started off with a spread of appetizers, of which my favorites were the hot shrimp with butter dip and the mini loaf. The nachos and cold shrimp were forgettable. Next was one of their unique trademarks, the Caesar salad that's made fresh tableside. You get to watch the salad get tossed and ingredients added in real time as your mouth waters, and the end result lived up to the hype as it was the best Caesar salad I've had! Has a strong taste of garlic so beware if that's not something you're into. For the main course, went with the Alaskan King Crab Surf and Turf. The crab legs were large and came out cracked already(which is always a plus) and came out with a hot butter sauce for dipping on a creative stand with a candle underneath it. Even with the butter, there wasn't much flavor to the crab meat and it got boring quickly. I haven't eaten much crab so it could just be that this is how crab tastes and maybe its not for me. The 3 oz filet that it came with was also bland and tasteless. Overall, I had a decent experience here but given the mediocre nature of the main course(especially given the price point(!)) I couldn't bring myself to give more than 3 stars. I would definitely come back to get the Caesar salad again and maybe try a different entree to give them another chance. However, regardless of the food, this is probably a place you should check out at least once if you're into OKC history.

Must try: T-Bone Steak and a Double Deuce Beer!…read more Why: I've been craving steak for a few weeks and when I arrived at OKC a few people recommended Cattlemen's. Ordered a medium rare steak and it was juicy and tender. It was also a large steak. Meal came with a house salad, baked potato, bread and a roll. I was also going to order Lamb Fries as an appetizer, but the waitress was able to let me try one piece on the house - great service! It would have been way too much food for one person. I washed it all down with their refreshing Double Deuce Beer. Everything was flavorful and satisfying - the steak hit the spot for me. Notes: It was a quick drive from downtown. Right when I walked in I was welcomed by hostesses and seated immediately. Everyone was warm and friendly. Def felt historic and legendary inside with their table booths, photos, and decor. A great hearty meal for my last night in OKC!

The breakfast options and classic cuts are solid, and you can really feel the tradition in the place. My only real gripe was that my lunch steak came out medium-well when I asked for medium-rare, and it took a bit of flagging someone down to grab A.1. and refill my water since they were slamming through a big rush. Even with the temp being a little off, the flavor was still good and the friendly charm kept the visit really pleasant. The historic, nostalgic charm and the genuinely friendly hospitality are what make this iconic spot so enjoyable. The lamb fries were fried to a perfect golden crisp, the breakfast menu is legendary for a reason, and the whole restaurant carries that authentic western heritage vibe that is super hard to find these days. On top of that, the servers treat you like family from the moment you sit down.

We. normally are able to sit on the west end of the bar, but last night, they were packed, but we snagged the last two seats, dead center of the bar. We started with drinks. I ordered a a dirty Martini (Gin) and Jan ordered a Gin and Tonic. They were out of regular Hendrick Gin, but offered her a Hendrick that came with a purple label. I did not catch the name of it. It was fruity and neither one of us liked it. The dirty martini was excellent. We then ordered the dynamite shrimp ($19) as a starter. It comes tossed in a bowl with sweet chili and Sriracha. It is one of my favoriates! For our main we decided to order the seafood center piece to share. It comes servered on a large platter with large shrimp cocktail, fried calamari with a large crab cake ($59) The presentation is stunning. The shrimp are excellent, the calamari and crab cake very good. As usual, the service was very good. It was a bit noisy last night but they were slammed and everyone was having a good time.

Well I mean ok but we are about to order 3 75$ dollar steaks and appetizers . My parents ordered a different wine to pair with our appetizers, the waiter seemed kind of surprised that my parents didn't order the 250$ wine. So she took our wine and appetizer order. After she took it she went over and whispered something to another waitress. So about 15min later we got appetizers and no wine yet. We have already finished the appetizers and they still haven't gave my parents wine. So 40ish minutes later my dad went to the bar to order the wine that hasn't been served, and then the bartender gave my parents the wine. And the waiter never gave us wine. So now the steaks.. they were comparable to Texas rode-house. I ordered a bone in filet, and I asked for a medium rare. They bring to me and it's raw simply raw. I asked them to cook it longer and they brought it back like 10min later and it wasn't cooked any longer it was the same. Now to the desert, we ordered a chocolate cake. It was probably the best thing we ordered. It had texture and pretty good flavor. That's pretty much it, I hate to be negative about a restaurant.. but this one deserves a bad review. Like instead of eating here eat at culprits last time I at there it was amazing steaks were good and sushi was pretty good. So instead of spending 500$ on a pretty crappy dinner go eat somewhere else trust me.

I was delighted to find out that our hotel was only 2 miles from this highly acclaimed restaurant. Upon entering, I immediately felt the welcoming atmosphere. We were warmly greeted by the host. The inside is lovely, modern and well laid out. It's perfect for date night or hanging with friends. The host chatted with us, explained the restaurant concept, and answered all my questions. We got the Baked Chèvre for our appetizer. It was layered with flavor and a most delicious and perfect bite for a cold evening. My entree was the Rainbow Trout. The fish had crispy skin and was moist, flaky, and well seasoned. The broad bean mixture served with it was equally delicious. The hubby had Honey Roasted Lavender Chicken which he declared to be one of the best chicken dishes he's ever had. He even raved over the vegetables that came with it. Of course I also had to try dessert. I loved my warm spice cake with a scoop of ice cream and swirls of buttery caramel rum sauce. The cake was so moist and paired perfectly with the sauce and ice cream. Our wait staff was friendly and professional. I forgot to jot down names so I could give them a shout out. Excellent staff is always a part of an excellent dining experience. This was just a delightful experience. The host even gave us the name of some nearby live music venues that we enjoyed later that evening. We will certainly return here the next time we are in OKC. Redrock Canyon Grill - Lake Hefner…read more First visit--and I can confidently say this place just earned a spot in our regular date night rotation. We walked in to a packed house, which is always a good sign, but were seated immediately. From there, the experience never missed a beat. Beverly took care of us and was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaged. You can tell when someone enjoys what they do, and it shows. We started with margaritas, and when Beverly said they were "perfect," she wasn't overselling it. Smooth, well-balanced, and served ice cold. We're both olive fans, so of course we asked for extras--and they delivered without hesitation. Going in, we made a deal: appetizers or dessert--not both. After hearing about the pineapple upside-down cake with vanilla ice cream, that decision was made pretty quickly. For the main course, Beverly walked us through the menu and the weekly specials: * Rainbow trout with roasted peppers and cucumber salad * 14 oz peppercorn crusted steak with mashed potatoes, broccoli & parmesan I know my wife--steak was the obvious choice for her. I went with the trout. Both dishes were excellent. The trout was cooked perfectly with a light, flavorful sauce that didn't overpower the fish, and the vegetables were fresh and well-prepared. The steak was cooked just right, full of flavor, and paired perfectly with creamy mashed potatoes and broccoli finished with parmesan. What really elevated the night was the hospitality. Kirsten, the manager, stopped by to check on us and took the time to have a genuine conversation. She shared details about patio seating and upcoming live music nights, which we're already planning to come back for. Then came a surprise--she graciously covered our dessert. A classy move that didn't go unnoticed. And that pineapple upside-down cake? Warm, soft, topped with melting vanilla ice cream... absolutely worth skipping the appetizers for. The Bottom Line: Great food, exceptional service, and a relaxed but polished atmosphere right on Lake Hefner. Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, this is the kind of place that makes you want to come back. Highly recommend for a date night or a nice evening out.
