This is always a staple for good Cajun food for my husband and me. He loves the loaded blackened fish dish and gets it every time, and he loves that it's actually spicy! I always try something different every time I go. I've gotten the burger, pasta, gumbo, and I always have to get hush puppies!! The burger was a little overcooked the last time I got it and I learned that I like the traditional fry for fish. A must try for all. read more

Cajun Corner is a staple takeout in our home and for very good reason! We (very obviously) love it enough to come back as loyal patrons a bunch of times now. My favorite so far is the Blackened catfish over dirty rice. Super simple, but the fish is always cooked and seasoned wonderfully and so is the rice. Hubby's fav is always the cajun pasta, but every once in awhile he will end up with a po boy instead! The cream sauce etouffee is also absolutely delicious and one of my favs too, albeit a slight heavier choice. They have so many good options and we come back happy always. Service is always fast and friendly, and the place is always decent and clean. Highly recommended! read more

Cute little restaurant that o have driven by lots of times and we finally stopped in. The food was good and the portions were huge. It was clean and nice inside but it was really cold inside. I think they turned the heater on when we were about to leave. I had the shrimp basket. It was good but had a unique coating on it. I prefer the normal batter coating over this one. It wasn't bad, just not my preferred coating. The fries were great and they gave us a ton of them. The prices were extremely reasonable. We will go back but I'll try something else. read more

My first time here - got the oyster basket with coleslaw instead of fries. The oysters were delicious and the coleslaw was very good, if a tad spicy. The restaurant was crowded with people waiting for their orders who were saying, "I came here the other day. And I came here a few days before that." Big grins. You have to order at the counter prior to sitting down. The tartar sauce was an odd color green and I wasn't a fan. The cocktail sauce was stiff and jelly like, very weird. Ranch was, okay but over priced. I got the chicken fry seafood platter with Cajun rice, just tasted like regular rice. The other person I went with got traditional seafood platter with fries and he said it was super mediocre. Overall, I wouldn't go back. Seems overpriced and mid at best. read more

Placed an online order for pickup - terrific online ordering platform, made it very easy to make the substitutions we wanted. Food was ready quickly. Absolutely Delicious! First time in and we ordered a variety. Blackened Loaded fish covered in Etoufee over white rice. The fettuccine, fried oyster basket, special gumbo, Oreo beignets, and Philly cheesesteak. Everything was so good I don't have a favorite. They will adjust the spice for the people like me who is a chicken. We are already planning our next visit. The mgr and the staff were fantastic!! I got to cajun corner around 3:45 pm today and as expected not busy at all. Every year for about three years now I stop here to get the loaded blackened catfish, my husband's favorite for this birthday. It didn't take long to get my food and I was waiting in the eating area and the young man hand carried it out to me instead of just yelling my name. That was so sweet! The blackened catfish was so great. Spicy, and the shrimp sauce was tender. Highly recommend. Instead of fighting the busy traffic, I parked in Walgreens parking lot and walked to the restaurant. I had the Fried Catfish and Shrimp, chicken fried as the batter and it was decent. I selected the Red Beans and Rice as my side, but after calling to verify what was in it (it has ham in it), I couldn't eat it. The Oreo Beignets weren't good, but they had cooled so that may have made a difference. My friend said the Blackened Catfish was awesome though. read more

OMG... where do I start... the loaded Cajun catfish fettuccini takes me back to when we went on vacation to Louisiana. This dish was so good and I ate on it 3 days in a row. Have eaten at the 23rd street location many times and it has always been excellent until last Saturday. The hush puppies were undercooked (Brown on the outside but doughy on the inside). They brought replacements and all were the same. Fish and shrimp was much more heavily breaded than usual. All we could taste was the breading. Gumbo and carrot cake were outstanding as usual. read more

Y'all I didn't get the chance to take a picture of the food I was too hungry. It is a trendy and welcoming environment to step into. The road to get to the restaurant can be chaotic but it's worth it. The food was absolutely delicious and I loved the shrimp. For a basket of shrimp, catfish, and chicken tenders I was able to feed both my brothers and myself for around $30 with tip. I definitely recommend if you like seafood at a great price or if you're celebrating Lent and need a quick bite. read more

Now I'm no expert on Cajun food, but in my expert opinion, Cajun Corner is the best Cajun food this side of the Red River. Okay so now that I have the court's attention, let me describe the finer points of why Fried Oysters from Cajun Corner can scientifically change your life. The first point is that it is deep fried...do you really need more information? No? Okay then maybe we just move on to the hush puppies... Oh...those are also deep fried? Hmm, okay then I'll wheel back to the Oysters real quick. They are tender and full of flavor! Plus the most important part of this entire thing is that Oysters are NOT shellfish..they're mollusks! That means that people in the cool cats club (read as allergic to shellfish) can enjoy these without fear of losing their cool (read as hives and anaphylactic shock). Now we can officially move to hush puppies. Beautiful. Fried. Hush puppies. Soft but firm, nice crunch without being overly crunchy, and totally worth having an entire plate of fried foods AND NOT FEELING BAD ANOUT IT!! My friend recommended this place and it was really good! It's not expensive, parking is easy, and the food is yummy! I highly recommend the chicken po boy. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because the sauce was so spicy - and I didn't even get the spicy sauce. It took two packets of ketchup to bring the heat down enough to eat. This is on the east side of Council Road just about 200 feet south of the intersection. The food is slightly above average. In fact, they have a sister store in 23rd and is better than that location. Apparently, because of size (8 four-tops and a long high-top) this one does more take-out. This one is also yummier than that one. The gumbo here is surprisingly good. I got the specialty gumbo, which had crawfish, sausage, chicken, crab and shrimp. It packed a lot of flavor. It might be a little heavy on the black Perrier though, because I could distinguish the black prior from the other flavors. The seafood eggrolls (2 to an order) are wonderful. The seafood is listed together with just a hint of veggies. The fried oyster was good if a little bready. The catfish piece was alright, but nothing special. This was an enjoyable meal. read more

I've eaten here a few times with my oldest son, and it's always good. They're quick, but not *too* quick. The food is always piping hot and doesn't taste like it's been sitting under a warmer for hours. The parking can be rough, but it's a cool vibe once you get inside. My favorites are the salt and pepper pork, salt and pepper tofu, crispy chicken, beef chow fun, and green beans. Everything is always seasoned perfectly, not too salty or anything. It's inviting and so unique and fun! I wore some bright colors for a good contrast in pictures. When you walk in they have a huge menu screen on the wall plus they will give you a laminated menu to hold and look at. They also have pictures of some of the dishes next to the register. As a filet mignon lover I naturally went for the "pho-let". I also ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. I was given a number and found a seat along the wall featuring all the planets. Everywhere you look is something fun and quirky. Even the drink dispenser is only black and white! It was cool to see the well known drink logos in b&w. I also really loved the bowl of pho and drink characters holding hands throughout the place. After a short time the egg rolls arrived at the table with a glistening cheesy sauce on the side. The crunch was amazing and the meat inside was quality! Nicely chopped with a great chew. The sauce had the peppers in it and had a kick of spice as well. Awesome snack! Then the pho arrived and it was glorious! A generous serving of filet lay across the top and the server asks you how's you like it cooked and then pours the broth over top accordingly. I couldn't stop watching as the steaming broth filled the bowl. Perfect for a gloomy day. The first bite was everything I expected and more! Tender filet, perfect noodles, all the accouterments and that broth that was seasoned to perfection. Multiple times my table was checked on and the server even brought out extra goodies like sprouts, basil and limes. I was so content. I couldn't finish the ginormous serving so I grabbed a to go bowl conveniently located near the drink dispenser. I will definitely be back and I will be telling and bringing everyone I know. We tried two different broths - the beef pho broth, and the red curry broth. Both broths were SO good. Super flavorful, with portions insanely huge too. The meat was nicely thinly sliced and fresh too. I love that you can choose the noodle type you want, because I love udon noodles and the hubby loves ramen noodles, so we both got to customize to our own liking. Overall we loved the vibe of the place, but more importantly, loved the food! We'll be back for sure.
