This is always a staple for good Cajun food for my husband and me. He loves the loaded blackened fish dish and gets it every time, and he loves that it's actually spicy! I always try something different every time I go. I've gotten the burger, pasta, gumbo, and I always have to get hush puppies!! Cajun Corner is a staple takeout in our home and for very good reason! We (very obviously) love it enough to come back as loyal patrons a bunch of times now. My favorite so far is the Blackened catfish over dirty rice. Super simple, but the fish is always cooked and seasoned wonderfully and so is the rice. Hubby's fav is always the cajun pasta, but every once in awhile he will end up with a po boy instead! The cream sauce etouffee is also absolutely delicious and one of my favs too, albeit a slight heavier choice. They have so many good options and we come back happy always. Cute little restaurant that o have driven by lots of times and we finally stopped in. The food was good and the portions were huge. It was clean and nice inside but it was really cold inside. I think they turned the heater on when we were about to leave. I had the shrimp basket. It was good but had a unique coating on it. I prefer the normal batter coating over this one. It wasn't bad, just not my preferred coating. The fries were great and they gave us a ton of them. The prices were extremely reasonable. We will go back but I'll try something else. read more

My first time here - got the oyster basket with coleslaw instead of fries. The oysters were delicious and the coleslaw was very good, if a tad spicy. The restaurant was crowded with people waiting for their orders who were saying, "I came here the other day. And I came here a few days before that." Big grins. Absolutely Delicious! First time in and we ordered a variety. Blackened Loaded fish covered in Etoufee over white rice. The fettuccine, fried oyster basket, special gumbo, Oreo beignets, and Philly cheesesteak. Everything was so good I don't have a favorite. They will adjust the spice for the people like me who is a chicken. We are already planning our next visit. The mgr and the staff were fantastic!! I got to cajun corner around 3:45 pm today and as expected not busy at all. Every year for about three years now I stop here to get the loaded blackened catfish, my husband's favorite for this birthday. It didn't take long to get my food and I was waiting in the eating area and the young man hand carried it out to me instead of just yelling my name. That was so sweet! The blackened catfish was so great. Spicy, and the shrimp sauce was tender. Highly recommend. Instead of fighting the busy traffic, I parked in Walgreens parking lot and walked to the restaurant. I had the Fried Catfish and Shrimp, chicken fried as the batter and it was decent. I selected the Red Beans and Rice as my side, but after calling to verify what was in it (it has ham in it), I couldn't eat it. OMG... where do I start... the loaded Cajun catfish fettuccini takes me back to when we went on vacation to Louisiana. This dish was so good and I ate on it 3 days in a row. Have eaten at the 23rd street location many times and it has always been excellent until last Saturday. The hush puppies were undercooked (Brown on the outside but doughy on the inside). They brought replacements and all were the same. Fish and shrimp was much more heavily breaded than usual. All we could taste was the breading. Y'all I didn't get the chance to take a picture of the food I was too hungry. It is a trendy and welcoming environment to step into. The road to get to the restaurant can be chaotic but it's worth it. The food was absolutely delicious and I loved the shrimp. For a basket of shrimp, catfish, and chicken tenders I was able to feed both my brothers and myself for around $30 with tip. The first point is that it is deep fried...do you really need more information? No? Okay then maybe we just move on to the hush puppies... Oh...those are also deep fried? Hmm, okay then I'll wheel back to the Oysters real quick. They are tender and full of flavor! Plus the most important part of this entire thing is that Oysters are NOT shellfish..they're mollusks! That means that people in the cool cats club (read as allergic to shellfish) can enjoy these without fear of losing their cool (read as hives and anaphylactic shock). Now we can officially move to hush puppies. Beautiful. Fried. Hush puppies. Soft but firm, nice crunch without being overly crunchy, and totally worth having an entire plate of fried foods AND NOT FEELING BAD ANOUT IT!! This is on the east side of Council Road just about 200 feet south of the intersection. The food is slightly above average. In fact, they have a sister store in 23rd and is better than that location. Apparently, because of size (8 four-tops and a long high-top) this one does more take-out. This one is also yummier than that one. The gumbo here is surprisingly good. I got the specialty gumbo, which had crawfish, sausage, chicken, crab and shrimp. It packed a lot of flavor. It might be a little heavy on the black Perrier though, because I could distinguish the black prior from the other flavors. The seafood eggrolls (2 to an order) are wonderful. The seafood is listed together with just a hint of veggies. The fried oyster was good if a little bready. The catfish piece was alright, but nothing special. This was an enjoyable meal. read more

My friend recommended this place and it was really good! It's not expensive, parking is easy, and the food is yummy! I highly recommend the chicken po boy. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because the sauce was so spicy - and I didn't even get the spicy sauce. It took two packets of ketchup to bring the heat down enough to eat. Had a strong lunch at Cajun Corner on a Saturday. It wasn't busy but had some traffic. The restaurant is clean and comfortable and they did a good job of maintaing distance between tables. This is probably a 3.5 star review but not quite 4. I went with the catfish po boy, specialty gumbo, and bread pudding for dessert. The food was made fresh and was very hot when it was served. No issues there. It came out in a few minutes which was also nice. The sandwich is good but very messy. Had to finish with a knife and fork. The catfish is freshly fried, flavorful, and not too thick or thin. The cornmeal crust also had a bit of crunch to it, even under the cole slaw and sauce. Fries were good and freshly fried and crisp. Not too much grease, good work here. The specialty gumbo was good but the ratio of ingredients wasn't the best. I'd probably bump Cajun Corner up a star with more seafood in the gumbo. I'd try it again though, maybe it was just a serving with not much seafood. It does need hot sauce if that's your thing. The bread pudding was good and classic. It is not the best bread pudding you've ever had but it's definitely not one of the worst. It's worth an order. Glad I checked this place out and definitely would again when I am in the area.
